I really love the back of that bra in the first photo but the mesh see through screen looks really bad. If it didn't have that mesh I'd be into the bra in a second.
I almost ordered the bra...I actually like mesh detail, but it looks like it's cut quite narrow in front. I'll prob check it out in store, but I hate bras that are too narrow in front. I think it's the invigorate that I found had the same problem. I have a small bust but I want it covered! Once again, stupid little glitches that lose them a sale.
Nothing appealing at all in this release. My local store had created a table of the new dark adobe and submarine items trimmed in black. So dark, drab and dull. The black contrast just does not work for me.
Overall, I'm really happy with the old lulu I have and with the new lulu too. Best about new lulu are the lighter weight versions in tights...nulu and nulux. Loving a number of new colors too.
Interested to see what Fall will bring.
whats with the mesh in the front of that bra? it looks terrible.

I have been with lulu since 3010. Accumulated lots of stuff over the years. Like many others noticed that designs changed from fun and cute to stylish and more trendy/younger. I'm probably in the minority of the older customers, but I feel like my taste /style changed with them. I'm liking new muted colors with occasional pop of color. I also like that styles are more versatile and you can go easily from gym to lunch without having to change your outfit completely. I even feel that some of my older pieces look/feel kinda dated now. I sold my printed CRB and now prefer solid colors. I'm also a fan of CRB II. It's lighter fabric and shorter which is better for my 5"4 body. I much prefer Luxtreme bottoms than Luon ones. I'm actually happy with what lulu is making now.
I tried on this bra today. It wasn't too bad, but I felt like the straps weren't snug enough for me (a smaller size would've been too tight around the band).
@ anon 4:10 pm - My biggest quibble with the design changes is probably the lack of tech run tops and run jackets. Tops like the What the Sport Mesh or Runner Up tank and jackets like the Gather Me Slightly. I also miss pretty floral prints. I also miss circle mesh vs. whatever the super light see through mesh they're using now.
The CRB II fabric is the same as the CRB I, they're both made of light luon.
I ordered the Run The Day bra in a size down. Should arrive tomorrow so I'll see if that's the right choice. I'm finding I've had to order a size down in some of the new Lulu bra styles I think because the fabric is stretchier. The invigorate bra, sun setter bra, free to be serene bra have all been size downs for me in order to get the support I prefer. I'm disappointed that they seem to only be releasing bright colors in the energy bra (and sparingly in the Ta Ta Tamer and FTBZ bras). I don't really love the energy bra - I'm just bored of the style - but I'm craving color. Submarine and dark adobe are not cutting it for summer and frankly are just too similar to jaded and bordeaux drama.
I started shopping at LLL over 10 years ago and am now in the "older demographic" but my style and taste in clothing has not evolved along with LLL especially in the last two years. I am with LLA that my biggest complaint right now would be the lack of quality technical running jackets and rain jackets. The jackets they are making now are so cheap when it comes to design and detail. By sticking completely with the cropped trend gone is the coverage to the backside not to mention crotch, thumbholes, stowable hoods, mesh lining so the fabric doesn't stick to the body at the first sign of sweat and gone is any kind of interesting detail. What a dismal year for jackets. They have also lost me as a customer of their tanks. I don't mind exposing some of the bra but it seems everything they design now shows too much for my taste. I absolutely hate their heathered light luon tops. I made the mistake of buying one of the s/s tops last summer and will never ever buy another one. I would love to see circle mesh come back, such a great technical material. To top it all off they have ruined the fit and design of such staples as the Dance Studio Pant and Street To Studio Pant so I no longer buy those. About the only classic remaining that I still buy is the Swiftly but with the price hike it takes an awesome colour to make me pull the trigger.
I am looking for a size 8 rack pack bra in either white or black. I am not on facebook and can't find any on Ebay, Mercari, Tradesy, or Poshmark. I can find a ton of Run Stuff Your Bras, but those just flatten my chest out. Does anyone know of someone who has either a white or black rack pack for sale or maybe have one they would like to sell themselves? TIA.
@5:11 I echo your comments, but I have an abundance of Lululemon jackets from the good old times, so I don't even look at the new ones anymore. I used to buy patterned Switflies, but they don't really produce them anymore, and as you said, the price is too high. I'm very sad about the ruined fit of those staple pants you mention, but again, I have enough to last a lifetime. Lululemon' s new bras scare me, like the one with a mesh window in the front, where your cleavage is displayed, or a half bra, where most of your breasts hang out. For God sake, I go to gym to exercise, not to provide a show of my anatomy.
@4:10, like you, my taste has evolved too. Things are more streamlined now and cropped which is the trend. I tend to follow trends. When I look at my older stuff I wish for the quality but not so much of the designs because it seems dated to me. I wish they would pay more attention to small details, which is what made me fall in love with LLL 10 years ago. I'm still a LLL snob. I try to venture out but then I find one thing or another that doesn't work for me in other brands. Particularly sizing.
