Winter Look Book Photos

Lululemon has been sending out 101 page look books to people. I haven't received one but Ms. C. very kindly shared hers with us. It looks like it's snapshots from the winter video.

It's too bad they didn't photo more colorful outfits because it really pops against the gray location.

Agreed about little colour with such a drab background....maybe that's a marketing trick. I see the blue is the tulle print we saw a month ago so I don't expect many surprises...that's ok I will save money...then again I have lots of people to buy Christmas gifts for.

Black, gray, more gray, and very dark gray. LOVELY.

Agree with you anon 9:58, total waste of money and resources in every way possible.

This company is making so many stupid decisions lately. They seem to have veered so far off course that they don't even seem like Lululemon anymore, not at all. They seem like a different company and I don't like it. Lululemon just doesn't resonate with me anymore and I've been getting more and more turned off.

And trees!

That video & book cost a ton to produce & manufacture & the postage to mail the book cost another ton. Too bad Lulu spent its money that way in lieu of improving its product & customer service. I don't think this marketing campaign was the best way to reach its core customers & improve its sales. They either don't know their customers or they are trying for new ones. The high end market is pretty saturated with little room for growth & the quality & design for that market isn't there with these pieces. Plus, so many women would respond better to better technical working out clothes & a campaign that acknowledges they are strong, athletic women. I don't think a bunch of heavily stylized ads that belong in W or Vogue are the way to go.

I'm more interested to know the location of the photo shoot! The clothes are just blah.

Agree with you 1000%. Too bad they are cutting back on the functional technical details of so many of the items. When I can use a piece across many activities it justifies it's high price tag to me. Useless (small of the back slot pocket, anyone?) /fewer pockets and adding fragile mesh makes pants LESS useful to me.

@ anon 6:58 am - Agree. It doesn't feel like lululemon anymore. I bought TWO pieces this month. For some reason, lululemon has stopped making (or making many of them in decent prints) my go-to bottoms - Pace Rivals - so that has really curtailed my buying. All the new bottoms have mesh with crappy pocket layout. It's also annoying that there are very few top options to go with the pretty new greens/teals. The product mix is abysmal.

LLA you mentioned pace rivals are your go to pants..... Have you ever had the pockets come apart on you? That happened to my one and only pair of pace rivals and since the pockets are glued and not sewn together, they couldn't be fixed.... Was really bummed too because it was a pattern that I would have liked to have and picked the pace race rivals over WUCs.

@ anon 4:35 am - I haven't had it happen to me but I've seen it happen on the ones they made for SeaWheeze this year. That was a concern of mine when they first came out but I figured the worst would happen is that they'd replace them for me. So far, I've been lucky with the 11 pairs I own. Which pair was it? If you like run crops with thigh pockets then you might want to search out Speed Crops on eBay or the selling boards. The thigh pockets are sewn in from seam to seam. They run a little longer and the thigh pockets run a bit lower on the thigh but they're very nice run crops.
