I was all prepared to poo-poo the Outrun Half Zip in Alberta Lake Spray Jacquard but the color was so pretty in person (and really popped my green eyes) that I had to get it. I didn't mind the spray jacquard pattern much in this color since it's so dark and the fabric is nicely soft and very stretchy.
Fabric content. I think this photo also best represents how green the color looks in person since it looks so washed out in my photos.
The back yoke is lined with circle mesh, which is a nice touch.
The reflective dot detailing adds a decorative touch and a nice amount of reflectivity.
The seaming is rolled instead of flat zigzags or invisible, another nice decorative touch.
Chilled Grape Rush Hour Half Zip on top of the Outrun Half Zip. The Outrun is longer.
I really like the Outrun Half Zip a lot. I tried on all three colors - the Hazy Heathered and the black. The Hazy Heathered is nicely thick but I didn't love the pattern. I was also very tempted to get the black since my other black rulu half zips are going on 7 years old. If you are in the market for a rulu half zip, the Outrun is a really nice one.
I ordered the Heathered Black Wunder Under Crops from upload the other night and got them on Friday. They're really nice. They look fully opaque based on my home mirror but I still want to check them out in the store. I am kind of hoping there will be Pace Rivals in this same pattern but I am leaning towards keeping these. My only knit is they are a little itchy since they have a bit of a texture but I think that will go away with washing. Oh yeah, one interesting tidbit I found out on my shopping trip the other day is that regular waist Wunder Unders will be taking a vacation but we'll still have the high rise version.

Another one of my favourites bites the dust. I hate the high rise version. I only buy the regular waist version. Less and less and less for me to buy, everything I love is disappearing/changed for the worst :( With the way things seems to be going I guess they will ruin the Swiftly tops next...
The high rise waistbands are flimsy. I believe they are cheaper and easier to make which is why they have been making more and more crops and pants with high rise rather than regular waistbands. Really dislike high rise waistbands and am super disappointed about this.
I bought those heather black WUC. I wasn't sure if I was going to keep them since the colors are so similar to a pair of diamond jacquard ones I bought last year but I wore them today and am really loving the luxtreme. I too noticed they were a little scratchy but I didn't bother me like I thought it would. They preformed really well and I found them to be opaque too. I bought the antique paisley ones a few weeks ago and have washed and worn them at least a half dozen times. No pilling, bagging or seams coming undone on mine. The heathered black is a nice print and will look good with any color top so win win. I recommend. The speeds in the banner look tempting too however I tried on a pair recently and hated them compared to my older versions. Then again I usually find fault with things while I am in the dressing room that I wouldn't at home. I always feel a little mopey when I leave the lulu fitting room lol
I cannot stress exactly how much I detest the high rise. And I am not alone in my feels. This is a bad move.
@Leya - I've gotten used to them. I used to not like them but my last few pairs of WUCs have been high rise since that style is what the prints I liked came in.
I have to say, I have used for both high rise and regular WU's. i much prefer full length WU's with a regular waist band, they just fit better. I'm 6 ft and I tried the rush hour 1/2 zip and it was like a crop top, I would HAVE to wear high rise pants with it. I left my store empty handed yesterday for the first time ever 😔
Hah! They already have. I bought the new $68 (77 after tax) hero blue one I missed out on last year and the new fabric content has 3% more spandex or Lycra. The educator said it is to prevent snags, however one out of two on the rack in my size already had a snag. After half a year of once a week wear, they are heavily pilled. No snags but lots of pilling and the slight itchiness of the fabric never went away regardless of washing and wearing and sweating. It also feels a bit colder and streches/hugs body in a less flattering manner. I compared to a swiftly from 1y ago and it's noticeably less soft. I compared to a short sleeve swiftly from a few years ago when they did the logo on the sleeve and there is so much less silverescent and the fit has changed to a tighter arm and less flattering manner of hugging curves. The lulu logo over the chest is also more see through than before. Old ones feel almost brushed on inside new one is itchy. However old ones do get snags more often but they feel so much nicer I don't think I mind as much.
Uh oh! Time to hit up ebay for some regular waist wunders . . . why would LLL take a vacation from such an awesome staple? I don't understand. As long as I'm venting why wouldn't they have the same colors for different styles of shorts or bras. I often like the colors of one style, but then the Energy bra or the Speed Shorts don't come in that color. I also wonder if the price hike has to do with the free return shipping they started recently. Ugh, I need a new brand, I just can't find anything else I like.
I don't mind the spray jacquard stuff... I would have loved a Luon Spray Jacquard CRBII in purple(I think it was called Aurora, like the Power Y tank came in) and in Hunter Green and Shocking Blue(both the green and the blue came in Wunder Unders).
I'm opposite! The regulars spode down my bum and expose me in a squat (I'm 5'10") so I will only wear the high rise :)
@luluaddict I did try. I have a pair of with the high rise as, like you, they had a pattern I really liked and it was only avail in that rise and I hate how they feel. I have a short waist so the high rise hits the base of my rib cage about an inch above my natural waist. Not at all comfortable to workout in or wear as they roll over and bunch.
If they do this, they should figure out an option to hem the waistline down or make the WU with mid-rise available online as an option.
It is nice to see that circle mesh is back. I have not bought a WUC or pant in ages and seriously have no interest. Usually when I am getting ready for yoga I grab my teeki pants, lulu tends to now stay in the drawer.

I was about to order the out run LS but the app says it's silverscent and the website says rulu.... do you know what it is lulu addict !!?
@ anon 11:27 am - Outrun is made of rulu. So many errors on the website lately.
Thank you !
