Hi LLA, I missed out on the herringbone speeds and now really want them. I keep stalking postmark and mercari to no avail. I know you said in an earlier post that this variegated color looked a bit like your herringbone. Any chance you have made a trip to the store yet to see in person? I'm trying to decide if I should pull the trigger on these variegated ones, Hmm. Does anyone have a crystal ball, or a hunch as to weather herringbone will come out again? Herringbone is my absolute first choice!

Looks like the HT iridescent multi are sold out... at least on the app.

That fairisle mutli looks like a nice pair of teal pants grew mold. SMH

I like the Hill and Valley mock turtleneck. I wonder if you could dress it up a little with jeans and heels.

I definitely bought those Speeds as soon as they uploaded. They come out too rarely, and even more rarely without mesh, for me to pass up. Hope they're nice when they get here!

I think all the new stuff is overpriced. Now that Lulu gets over the $100 mark for average shirts and pants, they're really limiting their consumer base even more...I'll be waiting. Nothing is worth those prices to me.

Nothing for me. I originally was drawn to Lululemon for their unique colors, prints and styles. They've changed from that, and look too similar to everything else out there. i keep reaching for my old stuff, which makes me realize how much the company changed. Where did all the old designers go? Can we bring them back?!

Jill - I have two different releases of the herringbone Speeds and can let you know how they compare when my variegated Speeds come. What size are you?

LuluAddict said...

@Jill - I haven't yet but am thinking of going tomorrow. My hunch on herringbone is that we won't see it.

@Alyssa - did they come in HT or just WUPS? I see all sizes in the WUPs except 12.

@Shannon Bayley - lol

@ anon 7:13 pm - agree.

I ordered Hill and Valley top to wear with one of my lulu pencil skirts. I hope it'll let ok cute. Also ordered Speed shorts in black and carbon and Jet pants. Seriously considering Fresh Track pant. None of the new prints is calling my name

Textures likely won't be repeated this year -- they're trying new textures instead. -ed

Nothing but junk. The old standards like Herringbone are always classy but instead we get mold inspired prints that make legs look massive. No thanks. This stuff is just so unattractive, absolutely nothing grabs me. Lulu blew it.

@ anon 8:43pm - thanks! That's what I suspected.

I just pulled the trigger and got the variegated. I would still love to hear how they compare with you ladies who also have herringbone. LLA, I'm interested to hear your take since I know in a previous post you mentioned you don't like the back of the leg seam on the newer versions of Speeds. Does it look like I stalk much, lol. I do love your site because of the search feature. I love to search and see all the reviews/comments of the current lulu item I'm obsessing over and LLA is the perfect place to get both pics and opinions. Anonymous 7:30PM I'm a size 6. Thanks!

I bought the speeds and they are going back. I just think they are ....ugly. The fabric is not nice like the old herringbone.

They came in HT as well-- mine just came in the mail yesterday.

LuluAddict said...

@Jill - thanks! I find the search feature super handy, too. I don't understand why all blogs don't put them in. That and and the archive.

@ aliswanson - Is the material thinner? It's almost looks like it would snag easily.

LuluAddict said...

@Alyssa - thanks. I must have missed those or forgot about them.

I found it itchy! And it just... Stretches weirdly. In a unflattering way. No compression just tight clothing that shows all my lines. Speed tights used to smooth me out a bit more and lay flat over skin rather than crinkling and pulling at me.

Anon 6:25 here. Just tried out the items from my order, including the variegated Speed tights. I'm shocked to say that I really like the three things I ordered. With regard to the variegated Speeds vs. herringbone - I have two pairs of the herringbone, one pair with ruching at the ankles and one without. The ones with the ruching feel very thin/cheap compared to the variegated Speeds, so I'll be keeping the variegated and may be parting with one pair of herringbones. I'm not a big fan of the back of the leg seam they've added to the Speeds (not sure why they need it when it's a pair without mesh), but I didn't find that it cut into my leg or create any bulge like some of the seams on LLL have recently. The variegated Speeds are honestly some of the more substantial Speed tights I've purchased in terms of fabric thickness, so that is a pleasant surprise. I would definitely consider a second pair if they were released in another color.

@LuluAddict I don't think it's thinner, necessarily, just not as nice. I like them on line, but it's nothing like say...the pique material or the few pairs of herringbone I've had with a very soft inside. I just did not like it at all, and wanted to.

@jill- I bought the Variegated Knit Speed tights today. They're nicely thick. Definitely order them to try. I think they're a nice substitute for herringbone, if you missed them. And if you are a herringbone fan, they're different enough to own both.
