Upload!

First Mile Jacket. This one is tempting to me and if I lived in a colder climate I might bite but for $228 I'll wait to see if I can snag it on markdown. It's a very cute jacket, though.

I am very tempted by the First Mile Half zips but I don't love the gathering in the back and I just bought a Black Swan Face the Frost off WMTM last week.

Darkest Magenta Rush Hour LS. I am bumbed the Olive Rush Hour Half Zip  not uploaded today. That is the top I was looking for.

Brave the Cold Jacket

New Ready to Rulu Pant colors in Military Green and Darkest Magenta.

Darkest Magenta First Mile Tight. Try on reports are saying these fit tight and to size up.

The Florence Nulux Speed Wunders were uploaded last week but now they're being featured. I've seen conflicting photos as to whether or not these are sheer - on some people they are and some they are not. However, I tend to think it weighs heavier on the are side. You'll need to wear a thong with these, as far as I can tell.

Inspire Tight Shocking Blue Spray Jacquard. I'm over all the spray jacquard colors, time to move on.

Shocking Blue Tight Stuff Tight

Rest Less Pullovers are back.

New Run Around Tights in Aurora.

High Times in Shocking Blue Spray Jacquard

Shocking Blue Free to Be Tranquil Bra. I am debating getting this. I really like the one Free to Be Tranquil bra I own.

I'm still debating a few things. Did you get anything today?

The Florence Nulux looks like they wet themselves. Oh boy

I went with the Pima crb in black & gray. I've been waiting for fall colors but I'm disappointed every week when I don't see them!!

Nope nope nope

No dark magneta speeds boo! Not sure about the 1/2 mile tights. The seam by the zipper pocket looks stressed in all the pics I've seen.

I ordered shocking blue free to be tranquil and beach blanket blue crb....thank goodness I have enough jackets and vests ...those prices...yikes. ...and if blue crb is similar to one of the 11 or so blue ones I already have then it's going back. I did get a ss swiftly in the bb blue so not sure which to keep...

I want a dark magenta rest less pullover, hopefully it exists and will make an appearance soon. First mile tights interest me as well but I can hold off to try them in store. I was also glad to see some brushed speeds uploaded but again, not any colors im interested in. I feel like this upload had a few items I might buy when I see them in store but nothing I'm dying for at the moment.

Come to the commando dark side. No one can see your underwear if you aren't wearing any.

I have been hoping and waiting for the Fleecy Keen this year - does the First Mile jacket mean it's not coming? What do you think?

Got the new inspires and the florence tights. The new inspires are actually really pretty in person (even if you don't like jacquard print/over jacquard) and are really flattering on for me. I got the florence tights in the mail today but haven't tried on yet to say if sheer or not. Also am interested in the first mile tight but have to try on at store since I am petite and they may be too long.

With each upload there are more and more negative comments but I still like the basics that come from lulu. Honestly from a performance standpoint none of the other brands that I have tried (michi, k-deer, koral, l'urv) stand up to lulu for me at least which is why I still reach for my lulu for runs and my bootcamp workouts.

The fleecy keen wannabe looks ugly and costs crazy, particularly in Canada

@5:56 I know it seems very negative, but go back three years ago and read the comments. There was just as much complaining, even more on some days. It's just like other online communities, people complain what they are passionate about. I really like the colors in this upload, I got the Florence tights,(fingers crossed)I'm considering the First Mile Half Zips and I got a bunch of stuff on WMTM the other day. I'm so excited for fall. Get cold already!

Bwahahaha. Maybe that is why half of us are like, 'see through...???'. 👍

Nothing for me. Underwhelmed.

@5:44 the first mile jacket is the "updated" fleecy keen :( such an amazing jacket!

@ anon 8:45 pm - I heard that rumor, too.

Before I read this reply, I was thinking the exact same thing! I thought all of the complaints were newer, but they seem to have been there all along

Can I just have a whinge about something that's not a new upload...I just got a pair of High Time Pants that when I was twirling about in my house I loved but I wore then to a ballet class and got so hot I nearly had to stop the class. I noticed as well my feet had swollen up afterwards which went down after I took the pants off, and my feet only swell when I get overheated usually in summer. So I tried instead using them as pants to go jogging in as that doesn't matter if they're warm but now the crotch of them keeps falling down. I'm just so unimpressed. If they fall down does that mean I'm too small for them or am I too big and they're just trying to make good their escape?

In upload news I rather like some of the stuff uploaded to the UK but think I might wait to go to a store to try on rather than do yet another online order.

Lol...I think the ones who are so concerned about sheerness which at times you have to really look and be in an unlikely pose....and perhaps squeezed into a size they shouldn't be in...are maybe thinking everyone is looking at them all the time? Lol. Likely the ones who are checking you out ate other lulu gals...who probably don't care if they can see a slight shadow of underwear. We flatter ourselves way too much. The sheerness complaint is getting old...lol..they are tights so you have to expect a bit so one should wear appropriate colour thongs. I really thought a group of lulu wearers would be more positive. I know the price increases sting...so just say so ....and sheerness happens with all companies..don't kid yourself. Or buy full on luon everything in dark colours...I personally couldn't imagine that for hot yoga or summer workouts

What is the name of the top featured with the heathered herringbone/ heathered white slate Run With Me gloves? Cute!

Glad to hear LLA you were able to pick up the Face The Frost on sale, great buy and great top. You may not care for the First Mile 1/2 zip so much when compared to the FTF. I tried on the First Mile 1/2 zip and didn't care for the seams in front from collarbone to armpit and didn't like the elastic gathering in back at all. I don't think the tech fleece is as nice as the FTF but would be curious to hear your opinion and comparison if you buy the First Mile 1/2 zip.

I liked the First Mile Jacket but my tts was a bit snug in the armhole and front shoulder area. I hope that if this is the replacement to the FK that they put thumbholes on the First Mile, big miss in my opinion. I know it may seem trivial to some as there are cuffins but I use thumbholes a lot when not cold enough for cuffins and they also help when the sleeves are too long.

Regarding the complaints on this blogs comment section, they have been there for a while. People just enjoy complaining. It's the same with a lot of the reviews on the lulu website.
The half zip looks like it will be a nice piece to have if it goes on sale.

@ anon 3:05 am - I've seen a few try on photos of the florence Speed Wunder tights and, unlike a lot of sheerness photos where people call sheer when you can see the white tear out tag but are fine with nude or matching underwear, I could see the outline of people's nude underwear so the florence tights are definitely on the sheerer side of lululemon's offerings. OTOH, I didn't think the Marbled Mix Speed Wunder pants were sheer when I tried them on. People want to be able to do a down dog in their pants, which isn't unreasonable. If you want fully opaque pants you have to buy heavier material, and then you trade being hot in your workout, or something like the True Self crops, which are double layered in the rear. The newest full on luxtreme pants are really good when it comes to opacity and even better when they have a pattern, and they breathe really nicely.

@Lastpurse - I think it's new, though it does resemble older pullovers. If I had to guess, I'd say it's luxtreme, hopefully brushed luxtreme, and maybe an update of the Run Wild or Race with Grace. The double zipper looks like a Race with Grace but the reflective zippers and stitching looks more like a Run Wild. Thanks for pointing it out. I really like the looks of this. I love brushed luxtreme pullovers.

@ anon 6:11 am- Thanks for your fit report. I tussled with myself about ordering the First Mile half zip last but eventually decided I didn't love it enough to pay full price. I bought a black Face the Frost last year at full price and thought it was a fantastic top, definitely one of lululemon's best ever technical pieces, imo -pretty but understated, classic styling that will last me for years.

I have the Florence Nulux pants and do not find them sheer at all. They pass the bend test with my pink Leopard print underwear - not visible and no rip take visibility either, with flash on. Maybe there are different runs, or people need to size up?

@anon 3:05am: Thank you for saying what I have been thinking for some time. Just cause you can't afford it doesn't mean it's suddenly 'hideous', 'fugly', or whatever other negative adjective you like to use. Just call it out of your price range. I can afford some LLL, and other pieces I can't. And just can't I can't afford them or am unwilling to pay that price, doesn't make me feel any better to lie to myself and call it ugly. Also, I have tried several other brands, such as Athleta and Lorna Jane, and their tights are sheer as well......when you're wearing full coverage panties in contrasting colors. If you wear appropriate undergarments, choose the right size, and don't go around in general public doing downward dog, you're fine. And no one in yoga class care.

Well, I haven't tried the Florence pants to say if they are sheer on me or not (It may be sheer for some body types even if they are in right size, for ex I have a size 2 waist and size 6 bum and I usually go for size 4 for best overall fit, size 6 would be way too big around my waist), but I wouldn't buy them because personally I don't like them at all(pant style or print or fabric), plus I also think they are overpriced, even though I can afford them, doesn't mean I'm dumb enough to unquestioningly buy them, even if I liked them and they weren't sheer on me I would have to think twice when they are overpriced like this. So yeah, I think people need to stop assuming people are saying negative things just because they don't agree with them.

Also to the comment regarding people are thinking everyone is always looking at them and are full of themselves I think this is wrong to assume as well - I don't think this way, in fact I have a lower opinion of myself. Not long ago I was wearing a pair of older black tights that have started getting thinner and see through without me realizing it and was told they were very see through thankfully it was someone close who noticed but after that I make sure never wear them around other people can see! I wasn't even in any kind of unlikely pose either! Someone doesn't necessarily have to be "checking you out" to notice a big see through butt! It's just there! I know I would rather make sure to avoid this in public if I can help it, which I assume is why most people are thoroughly checking before purchasing.

People are complaining bc the merchandise isn't the same. The complaints are valid. And I don't think it's too much to ask that fabrics not be sheer. The gusset is there for a reason, so you don't have to wear underwear if you choose not to do so. Before, I used to worry about how much $$$ I was spending. Now my thought is, "Will it really be worth it?" The answer for some time has been no.

Nothing for me, gonna see what rolls around in Thursday's WMTM upload...

Anonymous said...

I got bitched at by a girl on LLM's blog after giving my review of the Florence tights. I wore pink underwear as well and when bent over I couldn't see my underwear (nor the outline of my underwear) but I could make out the hangtag. If I moved the hangtag out of the way, nothing was visible but according to her, being able to see the hangtag meant my pants were sheer. They WEREN'T. My gripe with them, other than price was the lack of support. I get that it's "naked sensation" but I prefer more support/compression on my legs when running.

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 1:13 pm - yeah, I think if the only thing you see is the rip out tag those are good enough sheerness-wise. It's often a white tag under dark material so you're going to see it. I usually rip out the white tag on every but jackets since it tends to bother me.

Anon 11:33 & 11:34a.m. I agree with both of you that it's wrong to assume people who have a negative complaint do not have a legitimate gripe. As for Anon 9:24a.m. remark about negative reviews on Lulu's website, isin't that what reviews are for? It's a shame this person doesn't appreciate people taking the time to write honest informative reviews and approves of LLL deleting them as well.

Anonymous said...

Yah mine weren't sheer either...there are prints I don't like and prices too but I don't post nasty stuff about how ugly the print is etc even though I may think it because there are people who like it. Not very nice ...I thought lll was yogis who practiced good karma...hmmnn I know everyone is entitled to their opinions but I refrain if I personally don't like print and I don't solicit support by going g on about sheerness...so sad

Anonymous said...

From what I gather price is the issue...if the pants were 79 they would jump. These are no more sheer than dottie tribe. All workout pants will be sheer to a certain extent...nature of stretchy fabric. Yet the complaint about diaper butt was what I remember about the lined pants...lol I don't like price increase either but I don't buy something for that price if it truly was sheer. And nobody really cares nor can they make out your lady parts. We all have them. I do remember a teen girl wearing black cotton leggings that were SHEER....but they were black and she wore marching thong so could see skin of butt cheek...they were clearly not workout tights...lol as they were cotton likely from the teen stores. I didn't say anything to her but likely should have...the one and only time I saw truly sheer tights. Lulu and alo and nike are from from that

Anonymous said...

I think it's worth remembering that some people are more sensitive to the sheerness issue based on how they plan to use the pants. It's very different if you're planning to wear them running with underwear versus commando for yoga. If you're going to be in positions that will cause the fabric to be stretched, you simply have different needs. If these pants aren't going to meet those needs, people need to know this, rather than shelling out $128 for pants that won't perform.

Anonymous said...

Sounds like we've got some educators, or at least LL sheep, in the comments section today.

Anonymous said...

I agree with other comments that people complain about these pants because of their cost and sheerness is not the real issue. Why? Because once they went on sale ( mixed marble) they flew of the shelves at my store. And at another store I checked they sold out immediately when they had their 20% off. I guess nobody bitched about sheerness. As for the other merchandise same rule applies: usually once it hits wmtm at a good md it sells out pretty quickly.

Anonymous said...

Exactly!.!

Anon 9:19PM - I don't doubt that may be true in some cases. Not everyone is like that though. If I say something negative it's because I truly feel that way about it. I can't be the only one either. I honestly wouldn't take these pants if they were free. Why? because I don't like the print (not that it isn't nice for someone else, I just don't personally like it), I don't like the luxtreme fabrics for what I'd use the pants for (I do a lot of yoga and other general use - I find them too slippery and I don't like the shininess, I prefer Luon fabrics, also whenever I've tried on any luxtreme bottoms I find they give me more issues with sheerness and I don't normally have any sheerness issues with the Luon bottoms) the pants style with the zipper pocket (for yoga I prefer no pockets and no zippers and no mesh - basically I want a pant with minimal fuss which is why I've always preferred regular basic style Wunder Unders and Grooves and Skinny Grooves these are all staples for me and work perfectly for what I want them too - I do have a few Luxtreme bottoms for run but I'm not really a runner and don't run much so don't need as many).
