Thanks for the heads up. It is very pretty. Were NA to get it, would have to think twice. I just bought the Black Olive LS and while I love it, I'm not going to easily just start stomaching the $88 price ($78 plus the tax in the province where I live) for these swiftly tops. This type of blue and the Black Olive are colours that are most flattering on me too, so it's definitely tempting.
Very pretty but unless Lululemon changes their swiftlys back to the old fabric they used in the past, I can't wear them because the new cheapen fabric in the swiftlys makes me itch, itch, itch.
just like they cheapened the material of the swift back in the golden days it was light yet didn't stretch they used it in pants shorts jackets you name it and it made the clothes fit and function 100% better! They cheapen the materials and jack the price because they think that name brand recognition is the most important thing to "Us" they "said Company, lulu in this case" they are wrong because they end up w/ tons of merch they have to discount and then their reputation soon devolves over time till a new upstart comes along and steals the show! I wish a new company would arive on the scene that would be amazing........ I miss the old lulu so much, so sad its gone.... wish i had a few more items from back in the day.......
I love the Jet Set Blue Swiftly l/s and would buy it if and when it comes to Canada. I love this print and how the stitching stands out in the solid Jet Set Blue. I also noticed the ribbed cuffs on this one don't extend up the arm as much but only to above the wrist when using the thumbholes. I like this and hope it makes it easier to push the sleeves up.
Well, this is the thing, raising the price while lowering the quality is what makes me be much more selective now. These things are made as cheaply as possible in every way possible. I don't order all the new colours that catch my eyes in all the Swiflty styles anymore. I LOVE Swiflties and they are an everyday staple for me, so I do still purchase, I'm just a lot more selective about it and smarter about it (am waiting it out more now for the old regular price on WMTM, actually a dollar more... sigh...) But it isn't even about the money as much as it just feels so wrong to me - jacking up the price just because they can for no reason other than greed is a major turn off. Seeing their BS spiel of a response to a reviewer questioning the price hike on Swiftlies topped it all off. They are taking advantage of their customers loyalty, imo, and must think we are all dumb enough and/or addicted enough (the lulu addiction is real!) to keep buying like we used to unquestioningly.
Yes, very very pretty...I would have purchased this jet set blue and the olive LS swiftly, but I'm too concerned about potential snags & damage after putting forth $90+ after taxes. I have old swiftlys from several years back that are so durable & soft. I have really babied my most recent swiftly purchases and have only purchased them on markdown except for the black swiftly from the spring. I tried the new silverscent Conduit crop expecting not to like it. I found the golden subtle horizontal stripes and seaming flattering. Bought it but will think it over. It was opaque.
I didn't see the Conduit tank at that time -- so I am curious.
I haven't purchased a swiftly in a long long time. did they stop using the nylon and are now using polyester? I agree that the color is beautiful and perfect for the fall, my issue with all swiftlies is that they ride up when running and it drives me crazy.
I collect unusual patterned long sleeved swiftlies. Correction: I USED to collect them, back in the times when the price was affordable and the quality was not as atrocious. I would snap up this beauty in a heartbeat if I didn't have to pay $90 with tax, and didn't have to worry about softness and itchy sleeves. (I don't worry about snags, since I'm very careful with swiftlies.)
I have several SS & LS Swiftly tops. They range in age from 5+ years old to also purchased in the last year. I have zero snags on the outside. On a few, that are older, I have just a couple of loops (I guess 'snags') that have come up, but you cannot tell on the outside and they have not worsened. Those ones I think have just developed over time as they are older. All of my Swiftlies are really used! For running, hiking (wearing both a light daypack and a heavier pack at times), cycling, walking - even carrying my heavy shoulder bag with yoga mat.
As for the itchiness, I never experience this. Not in my old Swiftlies and not in my new ones. It's too bad people are finding some of the new ones itchy.
Thanks to whomever mentioned Grace By Grit. I checked it out and was sad to see that for the CRB lookalike, they are out of the Alberta Lake-like colour :( You have to inquire on shipping to another country anyway, so if I am ever really into something I will do that.
It looks a lot like the black heathered Sapphire Blue Swiftly except that it has the lace pattern... not sure how much of a difference there would be bewteen the two colours in person though...
OT - has anyone found cold weather running tights with thigh pockets? I'm sure Lulu will come out with a pair but I am sick to death of pulling up my lulu running bottoms for miles until I'm sweaty enough that they finally stick. I refuse to buy anymore especially at the new prices. Thanks!!
Rain On Train on, Toasty tech, Runderful and Feeling Frosty all had pockets from last year. There were also two pair of brushed Speeds that were quite nice for winter running.
The ride up on me too!! They're very form fitting but any movement and my swiftlie SS is up to my lower waist! I like the fabric but it rides up. I get my LLL TTS.
@Anon 7:23 AM- Try Athleta. They have GREAT running tights for all seasons, and they've started putting side pockets on most of their tights. The Be Free capris and leggings are really nice, and they have fleecy tights with thigh pockets for super cold temps.
I have brushed speeds but they don't stay up. The last thing I want to be is irked by my $100 pants during a workout! I ended up running it my pocketless polartec nikes all winter. Love them except the lack of pockets.
@Anon 6:55 PM, the Jet Set Blue Swiftly colour is nothing like the Blackened Sapphire Swiftly. These blues totally fall on different parts of the spectrum. I have the Blackened Sapphire Swiftly and would by Jet Set Blue if it hits NA, price is the only thing that might deter me.
As for winter running tights. Thigh pockets on my running tights are not much of a big deal for me. I live where it is true winter. I run in MEC winter tights and due to the temperatures, my tops are layered with either a vest or jacket (by LLL of course haha) so I have all the pockets I need. For temps that are much milder and don't require a vest or jacket, I have enough tops with pockets - even the base runner half zip has a large back pocket and front pocket. My phone doesn't always come with me either. Apart from safety reasons for the phone, I'm a minimalist runner and run with my iPod shuffle for music. Otherwise, no one's going to hear from me during a run. I'll talk to you when I'm back :)

Same here, totally agree with you anon 5:51 PM. ...almost $90 after taxes where I am too...
I wish the pattern continued down the sides to the bottom. Would love in black cherry or black swan for fall.

I love this style of swiftly. I hope we get it here!

Gorgeous but worried it will be itchy on the sleeves!

I do love the color, maybe I would consider this in the racerback.

I have the same issue with my Swiftlies riding up...what causes this? I have tried sizing up and down with no luck.
