Color Comparison: Darkest Magenta vs. Deep Zinfandel

lululemon deep zinfandel darkest magenta
Sorry for the wrinkly state of these, my CRB got pulled out of the laundry basket and the other top wrinkles easily if you don't hang it up. Deep Zinfandel vs. Darkest Magenta.

Wow almost identical....well I have tights in deep zinfindale as well as the crb....won't be needing any items in this colour range

Thank you! I'm sitting here in my deep zinfandel Define and have to admit I was briefly tempted by the deepest magenta one that just uploaded. This proves that they're similar enough that having another purple Define would be redundant and that I already have my favorite of the two purples.

Thanks for the color comparison! I was about to bring my deep zin Fleecy Keen to the store today. Both colors are very pretty! And significantly different imho.

I wonder how close Darkest Magenta is to Lolo Purple... I have the Lolo Purple(with Power Purple contrast stitching on the front) Define, so not sure if I want to try and justify the Darkest Magenta one at this price ($128, around $150 after taxes where I am)... The new prices are insane, honestly believe it is overpriced at this price. May wait and see if it makes it to WMTM for a more reasonable price but so fed up with Lulu shenanigans that even then may pass if the colours are quite similar. I used to just go ahead and buy all the colours I liked but now think twice!

both colors are gorgeous!

They are both so pretty! I love deep zin! I'm very tempted by the dark magenta define now. If it was the old price, I'd probably just scoop it up, but I will wait to see it in store and decide. I was hoping for a moonlit one though.

Can you do a comparison with Tender Violet please?

Same! Or, else I would have already bought the jet blue and darkest magenta (if the price was $108 each). But, at $150 it makes me question my own sanity if I were to buy either! It's not water or wind resistant it's not brushed or thick. It's really not a jacket. It's a layer. I love them.... But this last price hike has me triple checking with myself that I don't really need anything THAT expensive.

lulubell, I was hoping for a Moonlit Magenta Define too! LOVE Moonlit Magenta so much! I got the CRBII, Swiftly LS, and the Fly Away Tamer Headband all in Moonlit Magenta. Still hoping Canada will get the Swiftly Short Sleeve that UK(I think it was UK?) got a couple weeks ago. With these unjustified price hikes, I guess that is how much I absolutely love this colour. I think the Darkest Magenta Define would look really pretty with the Moonlit Magenta tops I got! Just really hate that Defines are like $150 after tax for me :( All the latest price hikes are totally unjustified and overpriced, imho.

When yall order something online do yall get shopping totes? I havent gotten any from the past 4 orders. So disappointed.

Beware of the Deepest Magenta Energy Bra if ordering online. The stitching is a horrible color. I compared in the store to the Deepest Magenta Define and it's contrast stitching. Showed the store manager. The stitching color on the Define is great - a nice subtle contrast. I thought the stitching color on the Energy Bra was so bad I took it off my list. Someone made a mistake when he/she picked out that thread color!

Interesting you point this out. I noticed the bra online and quickly dismissed it bc I didn't care for the contrasting thread color.

@anon 7:05 PM - They aren't sending totes with online orders anymore. Sorry you're disappointed, but I couldn't be happier! I have way more than I could ever use and always felt guilty just throwing them away.

They don't send them with Internet orders anymore. It makes sense when you think about environmental impact.

Anon 7:05 they have quit sending them with online orders. I know a lot of people (myself included) did not like receiving them unnecessarily and they responded to that feedback. Sorry you are bummed though. Wish I could give you some of my stash!

I received an email saying that the Florence Speed Wunders have been uploaded. I clicked through the link to purchase. Don't see it on the site otherwise. The color code is "florence speed wunder 50g white black". I notice the Marbled Mix Speed Wunders are back on the site at full price, with the code "marbled mix speed wunder 50 g white black". Looks like they made new batches to fix the sheerness issues?

In the UK we not only still get the tote bags with orders but a tape measure! When I first got it my initial thought was they've sent it to suggest I need to lose weight, when I got the second one I thought it was a gentle suggestion that I need to measure myself before ordering so many clothes and sending them back, but I'm on my fifth now so I assume it's just a thing they do.

I really doubt that they stopped sending them because they responded to customer feedback. This wasn't for our benefit or the benefit to the environment, I'm pretty sure it's yet another way for them to cut costs first and foremost. Not that I'm complaining because I hated the bags anyway and hated how wasteful it was.

I think part of the reason may be still receiving them in UK may be that they are still trying to gain customer base there. Here in Canada and the US it is already at it's peek.

@anon 7:36PM, I ordered the florence speed wunders yesterday and received them today. Fits very nice, I like the Nulux a lot, but sadly these did not pass the bend test. I was able to see the tag and my black undies underneath when bent over. They're pretty, but not enough to justify the price.
