Ok, completely off topic, but I was browsing the men's side of WMTM looking for a duffel bag and I came across this gem: https://shop.lululemon.com/p/men-shorts/Three-Peaks-Bib-Silver-MD/_/prod8310015?rcnt=48&N=1z13zi2Z7tu&cnt=67&color=LM7Y03S_0001. Too good to keep to myself.
I was thinking that the women's side was getting all the fug and the men got some decent colors this summer, but oh, I am feeling sorry for the boys now!
Those are bib shorts, which are common in cycling because then there isn't a waistband that digs in when you're bent over the bars, and you don't risk having a patch of skin showing in the back if your jersey accidentally rides up. Lulu has ended their cycling line, so that's why those are on markdown. (I tried on the women's shorts and jersey this year, and they fit so terribly that it was almost funny.)
Oh jeez... that Split Short Sleeve thing is horrendous. I don't know which is worse that or the Muscle Love Tank... and the prices on this stuff - yikes!
I really need to start feeling happier that the recent stuff is so ugly. I'm unemployed right now, and this stuff isn't even remotely tempting. In fact, that Muscle Love top turns me off the whole brand. I just find it so skanky looking.
A lot of Lulu is getting skanky looking these days. All the mesh is definitely skanky... absolutely detest the mesh bottoms, and now I notice some of the recent bras are starting to look like cheap lingerie. Also, seems like every top these days is designed to show off as much bra and skin as possible. Looks more like the kind of stuff you'd wear for a cheap porno/stripper act/streetwalker wear than yoga/gym/run/cute casual outfit. ...but then on the other hand there is also all this generic plain frumpy, matronly, dumpy and also masculine/unisex boxy stuff that is also horrible in it's own way. It's like they are completely missing the mark... one end of extreme to another... what ever happened to feminine, flattering and shaped to fit a woman's body, cute, fun, functional, pretty details, etc etc, all this is what made Lulu special and now it's seems to be all gone :(

Is this muscle tank the tank that was first priced at $68 and then to $48?? Has LLL lost their mind?? It is so sad that LLL has totally lost their original vision. These new "styles" are just laughable.
I can't decide as to which thing is more awful, that horrendous short sleeve potato sack monstrosity or the hideous muscle crop top? And yeah, I can guarantee both items will be on WMTM for a decade or more...
These outfits are truly awful, I see nothing appealing in any of it. Cannot believe how unflattering the styles are. I haven't purchased anything for over a year now and don't check uploads but still visit here and lulu mum's blog on occasion. Certainly no concern I'm missing out. Im actually a little shocked how bad the designs are and how cheap they look. Wondering if one day the blog will be gone because the clothes and company have gone too off the rails. Seriously, how are they making any money off these items???? Forget profit, what about any sales at all? That said, I haven't been paying attention so maybe its just a bad few designs?
@LLA- would you be willing to share whether your traffic is down at all due to the bad designs Lululemon? Just wondering whether the poor offerings the company is putting out has resulted in overall lack of interest in the brand. Or on the other hand, is traffic up because we all want to b*tch about the bad designs? LOL ;)
Traffic is definitely down. Part of that started when the company started consolidating stores' facebook pages and started posting fewer photos of the products. But a huge reason is there aren't a lot of compelling products coming out and it's accelerated noticeably. It's noticeable in the facebook groups, too. Enthusiasm is way down.
I also think that there is just way too much lulu product out there. the logo is everywhere at least in NYC all sort of people are wearing lulu, and I see so many people at my gym and on the street wearing head to toe lulu, that I have started to wear other brands like Sweaty Betty ,Noli, Teeki, Mika amongst others.

The bibs do look crazy just worn alone, but they are standard cycling gear..

They are made to be worn as a kit with a matching jersey. They are super comfy.
