New style tight called the Speed Wunder Tight that are a cross between Wunder Unders and Speeds. The new print is called Deep Sea. I ordered to try them. I am a sucker for tie dye and ombre fades. I hope they come in Pace Rivals, though.

It seems like lulu keeps raising prices....$128 for a full luxtreme speed tight meets wunder under tight?!

Ew! Why is the banner a man's crotch? It takes up my entire screen. Seriously, society's obsession with the penis is getting worse.. and I didn't think that was possible.

And, what a disappointing upload. How many times have we had swim uploads this season already?

Just the pipe dream blue tidal flow net (swim) top for me-- I kept debating when it first uploaded, so I went for it before it's gone. The love tee III seems to have cleared out the II completely as I can't even find the II on the site.

Also debated that desert olive swiftly LS, but I haven't seen the color in-person. Bummed there weren't any pop cut multi pace rivals this week!

I got the new color way in the WUC ( black/tofono teal/Alberta lake ) hoping they'll come in the wee space colors in the full on luon... High rise doesn't work for me...

@ anon 3:34 pm - I know!

I agree - the landing page is a major turn off. Just want to close the window.

Got the refresh maxi in heathered black. One of my all time favorite Lulu purchases from last year - have two. Only problem is I can only wear them on super skinny days.

The new website makes it so hard to find out the details of the items. All the descriptive elements are separated and it just gets frustrating. I own 7 Love Tees. I want more. But there is zero info about what makes the Love Tee III different and new. Isn't that kind if important info?

Is the difference just the absence of the rolled sleeves?

You know, I just realized the RSYB went up in price from $52 to $58. Is that why they took it away for a bit? So they could bring it back at a higher price point? And I also realized all the defines are now at $118. I remember when they used to be $99 then came back at $108 and then $118 for printed ones. Now they're all at $118 - all these little price increases have made me hesitate in purchasing anything and if I do buy, the item has to be perfect for me to keep.

I ordered the SWU tights to try because I like the print but I will have to love them to keep them at that price! I bought the half zip in teal in store today....love the zip, the color, and the weight. I also bought the white and flash fast lane singlets. Really love the cut and material of those. Hoping to see more colors. Tonight I ordered the AL love tee too since I can't resist that color. Would be nice if they let us know what the difference in this version is! Or any details on the $128 tights I just ordered. I feel like such a sucker....

Agreed Anon 3:34 and LLA. Appalling. Idiotic decisions at this company have reached a new level. That applies to the CEO.as well.

Sunaway Runaway ss in Tofino teal looks nice. Will wait to see and try in store. Double gradient speeds have appeal.

Otherwise boring. The camouflage stuff is hideous.

Crotch banner enough to put me off the brand for good. Of course like many, am looking at the new website less and less because it is awful.

@Anonymous 3:31

I was told it was a new digitally engineered print on a higher quality fabric which is why the price is so high

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 7:09 pm - Interesting. I wonder if it's more like the fabric in the All the Right places pants.

Nothing for me. I just bought new ALO leggings for sweaty workouts this past weekend. Lululemon should realize that they are reaching price levels of high end workout brands but they lack the quality. Carbon38, Bandier, Revolve and others offer very nice and stylish workout gear and decent sales. My money is shifting there... (And btw I'm not associated with any oof these brands - I wish! :-). )

Saw some try on photos of the Speed Wunder Tights and they were super sheer. They are very pretty in person, on a hanger, in the store. I admired them today. But my admiration stopped at the ridiculous $128 price tag. Plus they felt very thin, so I wasn't surprised by the photos I saw later. Hoping the same print comes out in Speed Shorts.

LuluAddict said...

@Lisa B - I am kind of shocked I am hearing that pants that are supposedly made of full on luxtreme have thin-feeling material and are sheer. Maybe the website labeled the material wrong.

Nothing for me tonight. I've recently discovered the Rack Pack Bra on sale at my store and have bought 3 more on ebay so I've blown my Lulu money.

Does Lulu even talk to athletes that do the sports they make clothing for? I am a cyclist and I can not even imagine wearing those halter bibs. WTH? It seems like it would be very uncomfortable around your neck like that. WHY??? Seems like a really bad functional design to me.

I hear you and agree 100%! I have to LOVE things now. I'd like to try the refresh maxi. But I think I'll wait to try in stores. I hate waiting a whole week when I order :p. ( I know I know , first world problems :p) PS. Does everyone know Victorias Secret Semi Annual sale started today?? All bras were $20 in store !!

Really liked the look of the tofino Sunaway Runaway but the landing page of the website is such a turn off that I'm not going to go check it out. What are they Abercrombie?

Note to management: you don't need to drive away all your female customers to appeal to men. So sick of this shit. This company is tanking. They were a special brand but no amount of good design is enough to overcome the bad presentation. I no longer shop online because of the horrible website and if they're going to turn their image totally frat boy I won't feel comfortable going into the stores, either. Particularly on a week when an enormous amount of internet chatter is about a frap rape, using frat humor is in extremely poor taste.

I got Sunaway ss in Tofino, LS in white. Was thinking about those new pants for a white , but decided not to pull the trigger. My reasoning was that I'll get tired of them pretty quickly. And it's 95 degrees outside

I really like the space camo WUC high times.

Agreed!

Is that a Lulu visa pictured in one of the product pics for the hot pink Run Stuff Your Bra? I feel like there were rumors of a Lulu credit card a while back. Just wondering if anyone else noticed. I'd never heard of this card before.

i liked the wunder tights but I have to be honest, for $128 I would rather have something a bit more technical than a mashup of wunder unders and speeds (neither of which are my first pick for running so why would I pay more for a mashup of the two?). I will admit to noticing the price hikes as well, I had a headband in my basket before I realized it was $28..I don't mind paying the $20 range for a cute headband but for some reason seeing it hiked $10 higher than normal really annoyed me.
I think I'll probably end up picking up a maxi and the Shift happens jersey, I might order the leader of the pack jersey as well- for comparison and return the one I like the least. Doing some longer rides now it would be nice to have a jersey with good back pockets like these have, and these are the first CUTE ones that I've seen (and the only ones I've ever seen from lulu) !
Question for everyone on dresses, I own one but it was a friend's and the size dot is no where to be found :( I'm usually a 6 on top and an 8 on the bottom (my legs are thick, but my hips and waist are slim) do you think i should order a 6 or an 8 in the maxi? Appreciate your help!

I got the Hero Blue s/s Sunaway Runaway. I hope to see more nice SPF tops and tanks this summer.

Talk about men's crotch in your face when you open up their website and they are not shy talking about "ball crushing" as well. Personally I could care less but I am not impressed with LLL trying to become more "sexual" in their clothing and advertising. I just don't find this type of advertising necessary for athletic wear. Could this be due to competition from Beyonce, who is one sexy lady?

Anonymous said...

I don't know if uploading 2 new colors equates to the U.S. getting "a lot of new colors" We already had the flash, white and black ones. They just added neon pink and the green one that Canada got last week.

Although yay for the pink (I bought!) i'm wanting a solid blue (got skunked with no sapphire last year like other countries), tofino teal, bali breeze, blue tropics....something along those lines.

I feel sorry and embarrassed for Lululemon if they feel like they have to compete with Beyonce (sorry, but, gross) or feel the need to be more sexual in their advertising (like majority of most companies choose to do) for whatever reason. Personally I find it a turn off when it comes to using this kind of advertising to sell stuff.

I dont watch a lot of TV, but was watching something other evening and it really hit me hard how almost all of the commercials were geared towards women - making women feel like they are not good enough the way they are - commercials for hair dye to cover up grey hairs, mascara for longer thicker lashes, eye cream for wrinkles, hair removal (legs and bikini), etc, etc you get the idea! It seems like every commercial is saying that women are not good enough without this or that. It seems like the amount of commercials preying on womens insecurities is far more than those geared towards men (the ones geared towards men, like beer commercials, etc almost always feature women who have been overly sexualized ie dressed extremely skimpy showing major cleavage, etc etc) I really detest all this kind of advertising. Society really needs to move away from this kind of crap.

I ended up ordering the pipe dream blue Energy bra scored for $34 (another glitch maybe) and the fatigue green stuff crops.

I cannot imagine my husband browsing the LLL website (heck, I can't even imagine myself doing that lately, it's so irritating), coming across the banner of a male's crotch and scream in delight when he finds the promise of comfort said crotch offers. I tell you what sites my husband is on: motorcycles, coffee machines and luxury watches. He might find the odd LLL item that I buy for him comfortable, but if LLL thinks he's enticing men in general with this kind of advertising, the company is sadly mistaken. It is an error to focus on men, even momentarily. What this company achieves is riling their bread and butter, the women, who shop. And purchase, even for their husbands. Just see how many women give feedback on the men's LLL items...

I bought the Sunaway long sleeve from the Canadian side in white. Because it only came in white and cheerful black for the summer. If we ever get the half zipper version in the colours offered to the U.S., I'll buy the boom juice one. Need all the protection I can get from the sun.

@ anon 11:58 am - nice! Canada keeps getting these lucky glitches!

I was hoping for the pace rival crops in WAFS nimbus battleship (white), but they didn't upload to the US side. So...I sent my husband to a Lulu while I'm on a work trip, and he found a pair in my size. Woohoo! So the good news is, this colorway is coming to the US. :)

Where are the products that Australia already got? Like the Tight stuff crop in the pretty lace print and the City sky run by crop? I want those!

Belen R. said...

Does anyone know what tank the model with the Space Dye Camo Wunder Unders is wearing? Is it an All Tied Up tank? The neckline looks a tad different from the one online now.

@Belen R:

Its the Trapeze Twist Tank.
