I live in Westport Connecticut and the Lululemon store and the Athleta store are right next to each other. I am/was a Lulu fanatic and I have to tell you I haven't bought anything in weeks maybe months! Then I go next door to Athleta and their stuff is so much more interesting. More selection, more stock and no menswear. I feel like the Lulu store is trying to focus on the Men's stuff, and honest;y, you rarely see guys in there. LLL needs to switch gears and become more innovative with their design. Athleta always has more customers and more buying going on. LLL is losing customers like me.
308 the lulu and athleta stores are a block away from each other in NYC on 5th avenue so is sweaty betty, bandier gap and a few others. the new nickname for this section of 5th avenue (23 to 17 street) is the athleisure district. I do see a lot of people going into the Athleta store. I never find anything that I like there.

I do like the look of that maxi dress but it seems to be a good length for those girls, meaning it will probably be too short on my 5'10" frame. Sigh.
Haha "M"! My fiancé has a place on the UES and I go to LLL up there. You'd think the Manhattan stores would have more than the suburbs but they don't. The only thing I love at Lulu are the Aligns. I own about 7 pairs. I feel like after you wear those nothing else feels as good!
