A reader asked for a review of the Run All Day backpack so I took a bunch of photos for you.
Size comparison to the Diversity bag and a Go Lightly bag.
All the features on the bag.
Reflectivity on the bag - a strip across the front pocket and dots inside the front pleat.
Looking inside the front pocket.
Side (water bottle?) pockets are luxtreme with a bungee to secure items.
Top flap zipper pocket.
Chest strap gel pockets.
Phone pocket on right side. If you don't have too bulky a case it will fit an iPhone 6+/6S+ but you might have to wiggle it in.
Bottom belly strap. A number of website reviews talk about losing this so if I keep this I plan on removing it and putting it in one of the zip pockets.
Looking inside the bag. It's lined in Rosewood.
It comes with a shoe/wet bag. These bags are my favorite parts of lululemon bags.
Plenty of room for my iPad in the interior.
Because I have such a bulky case around my iPad it doesn't fit in the actual iPad pocket.
It even fits my 13" MacBook Pro! I was not expecting that. My husband's MacBook Air, which is a little longer and wider also fits fine.
Plenty of room for both my iPad and MacBook.
You can put a hydration bladder in the back and run the drinking tube through the strap.
Top loop.
I didn't think this backpack was going to fit my laptop which probably would have meant I wouldn't keep it. However, it seems to fit it handily with room to spare so it's looking that much more attractive to me. It's such a cute little backpack I might not be able to resist it.

I got the fiber optic one and I love it. It's so nice to have a commuting pack that doesn't bounce all over the place.
Yay! It's gorgeous. Glad you like it and are leaning towards keeping it! Thanks so much for the all the great photos, they're even better than the website photos. Yours arrived quickly! I ordered mine on Wednesday and most likely won't get mine until next Thursday (Wednesday at very earliest).
I see a new review on the website saying that wrapping the waist straps hooks in those little rubber hair elastics helps to make the hooks more secure in their keepers (they added photos to show how) - I can see that helping a lot, may be worth a try, but if not planning on using the bag for running or hiking or cycling then probably won't need to use the waist straps and may be best to take them off and store them in a pocket inside.
Can't wait until mine arrives!
I have this backpack in the blue/green that came out recently. I forget the name, but I love it so much!
Thank you for your review :) it helped me Go ahead and place my order! I also grabbed the new Fanny pack and WUC in the same print!
Wow. That reminds me of one of those tiny apartments that once they start opening the doors and cabinets, seems like it's endless! There's all sorts of room in that teeny tiny backpack! Now I think I want one...
It's a nice backpack for sure. I've had mine for a year now (black and white large squares pattern that was out last year) and I'm still in love. It looks like new and I use it all the time running and commuting. I wash it on délicate in the washing machine every other month since it's often drenched in sweat after a run and I've had no problem. It was my best purchase of 2015 :)
Yay!!! Thanks LLA :). I so appreciate the pics of the pack (I'm the one who asked for the pics/review the other day) and the detail--so much better than those on the website. Eeeeep! I think I'm going to have to order one now :). Love that rosewood colour interior too. Thanks again and Happy Mother's Day in advance :)
Thank you so much for the review!! I was thinking of purchasing but now I think it is too small. I will pass.
@Anon 6:07, thank you for the tip. I'm going to do that right away.
I've been considering buying this backpack for a while now. I have the Back to Class backpack that I use EVERY day for work and gym - it's held up extremely well and I find it to be very functional (I don't use the waist or chest straps and have them stored inside one of interior pockets). But I thought that something a little smaller might be nice for other occasions (amusement park trips, hikes, etc.) That rosewood interior just sold it for me and I'll be finally biting the bullet and buying this. Thanks for all the great pics.
The new website sucks! It looks like they've dispensed with the models. I really hate when internet retailers don't put people in their clothes. Its impossible to see how they are going to (or should) fit. Its the primary reason I never shop at Athleta.
Agree that the new website sucks! It is definitely more time consuming plus to top it all off I can't get my order to go through on new website. It changed over to new website for me yesterday and it wouldn't let my order go through, then this morning it was changed back to old website so I tried my order and it went, then this afternoon it was back to new website again so I tried another order just to see (yes, I do have a big wishlist and place a lot of orders!!) and my order would not go through again on new website, so it is definitely something wrong on their end and not on my end... very annoying... I hope it will be all sorted out by Tuesday in case I see something uploaded that I want to order.
Yay! My order finally went through! Sorry for off topic LuluAddict!
LLA- did you also order the Hotwave Tank? I'm interested in a review of that one. Thanks!
Just wondering if anyone who has the Run All Day Backpack can comment on how hard (or not) it is on Swiftly tops especially, but also the Luon CRBs and Defines? I ordered this bag this week and just wondering if I should only wear it with my older Lulu and save my newer and best Lulu for days I won't be wearing the backpack? thanks so much in advance to anyone who can comment on this!
@ anon 8:57 pm - I did. I took some photos, comparing it to the Salute the Sun Singlet II but the light was dim so I want to retake them. I like the tank - it's very roomy through the middle and has a higher neckline than the STSSII but it seems a touch shorter and its hem is straight whereas the STSSII curves. I think the shape is boxier and it strikes me as a somewhat frumpier design (the neckline is what bother me most but I like the curved hem on the STSSII, also) than the STSSII but it will be comfy for running.
@ anon 9:49 PM I have the Run To Work backpack and based on really bad pilling of a luon CRB, I would recommend you wear it with your older Lulu first. I only use one shoulder strap and I think someone commented the trick is to wear your pack tight so that there isn't any movement against your top. I found the thin straps on my Adidas bag also stuck to my luon CRB and the material didn't seem rough at all so I am wondering if half the problem is with the luon.
Hi, is there a rain cover for the bag?
Thanks!
@HC - no.
Do you think the backpack would fit a pair or workout/running shoes? I'm looking for something to run to the gym with so need the space for shoes.....
Is this the first or second version? How big of a hydration pack do you think would fit?
