...and you can totally see the tag through the orangy ones on the 11th photo down.
None of this is even remotely cute, fun, different or cool looking - at least not compared to the first Wanderlust capsule. Even last year's had more interesting designs and were different with the feather design and the butterfly.
Design is really lacking overall. Other than some basics, i've hardly bought anything new from the website or the store this past year. Half of what I did buy went back because it wasn't worth the price they wanted for the quality (sheerness, thin materials, lacking details).
haters gonna hate. guess that's why both of the leggings sold out in all sizes.
Yep, orange HTs are totally sheer. And like you, Anon 6:22, I've hardly purchased anything in the last ~8-10 months. The new release of the All Tied Up tanks was the first time I bought multiple items in a loooong time.
The bra/top not only looks uncomfortable but impossible to put on!!
@ anon 7:30 am - the black leggings sold out before I even saw the collection on line, though I did get up late yesterday. The black Nook tank sold out pretty quickly, too. Those are probably the winners of the collection. I do think the Cape Red Diversity bag is kind of nice, though, if you want a nice bright bag for summer.
people spend money on bottled tap water. so no surprises these item sold out.
I got the printed highest times and the grey tank. Not what I would have loved to have had but I'm really happy overall. I fell in love with Wanderlust after reading the book and still am trying to plot a way to make it to Aspen!
LLA - agree. They had some obvious winners and some questionable styles. Can't please everyone, I suppose. I picked up a pair of both leggings....hopefully the coral won't be sheer. We shall see. Have a great week.
I wasn't aware that selling out = quality product. Last year's pants sold out quickly and it's pretty easy to find a NWT pair because people cared more about the hype than the product.
Anon 7:30 AM and LuluAddict, I have to agree with you because I haven't even had a chance to place my orders, the black pants already gone like lightning fast. I guess people who bought them must have reasons to buy them. ;)
I really can't say anything. If this was running gear I would have probably bought at least something. I grabbed a lot of the Black Friday gear and I really love it and don't have any regrets. In fact, my only regret about it is not getting the pullover.
Thanks for making me laugh, anon 7:30 AM :)
For anyone who seriously actually likes these kimonos, I'd suggest looking into The Elephant Pants kimonos. Personally, I'm not a kimono fan, but the ones from The Elephant Pants look way nicer (by far) than these ones from Lululemon. Plus, and most importantly, they are only $28 and some of the money (if I remember correctly it's $2) from every item purchased is donated to help with the endangered elephants (African Wildlife Federation's Rangers and Parks Program) and the factory workers in Thailand are paid double the standard and provided with health care and a great working environment.
All this info is available on their website at theelephantpants.com. Plus lots of great photos of their stuff and cute elephant pics and vids as well as some of the rangers on their Instagram page! Check it out if you like kimonos, or even just for the cute elephant pics and vids!
A lot of people are loving their stuff, especially great for festivals and such, and honestly, I'd rather see a company like this getting support than a greedy self centered one like Lululemon (sorry Lulu, I do really love a lot of your clothes but definitely not the company). Think about it, how much are the kimonos from Lululemon and where are they made and do they donate any of this money from purchase to a good cause(hell, they don't even have any customer appreciation, rewards cards or discounts or anything like that for their loyal customers).
Wanderlust: Halloween Edition.
@ anon 2:38 pm - lol
I just tried on the tangerine leggings in the SF store, completely see through. The store still had pretty much all of the different styles still avail. I bought the black pants. They're cute, but because of the seams might be painful for yoga workouts.
Thank you Anon 12:35 PM, just got myself a pretty kimono. They are almost all sold out! I got the purple bag with the elephants too and I'm thinking of getting the hammer pants for halloween!
Thanks, Anon 12;35! The Elephant Pants pants are so cute - especially the kids' version. Now, how to persuade my skinny jeans loving 7 year old to wear them?
@ Anon 2:38PM, lol indeed. Spot on.
It's true to each their own but there's zero appeal here for me and I could care less that items are selling out quickly.
Everything is not for everyone. I find it wasteful that LLL would even produce that ghastly "kimono" (and other similar articles).
You're both very welcome! So glad you found something you like. Their stuff is pretty nice and I love the little elephants on them! As for kimonos, I've never thought that a kimono would look good on me or how I'd wear it, but the more I see those elephant ones the more I think I'd like to try one (the teal one is super cute but sold out unfortunately) and I'm thinking they could be worn a bunch of different ways casually or dressed up or even as a swimsuit cover up.
The kids pants are pretty cute! :)
I'm relieved that I didn't LOVE the capsule, especially for my wallet! But, the heathered black nook tank and black highest times came home with me. They feel really nice. I'm one of those who still likes a little mesh (NOT EVERYTHING mesh!)
