What's wrong with that picture of a runner in the woods wearing the Tranquil Tank? I wouldn't be caught dead in that tank running outside let alone, running in the woods wearing a sheer, almost backless tank with my entire bra exposed. I can see this tank for hot indoor workouts but seriously, outdoor running???
I run outside in a bra all the time. I run outside in a bra, alone all the time too. It's 2016.
She wasn't referring to running outside alone. She was saying that not only would she not run outside in that tank but also not in that sheer of a tank with her bra exposed. It looks cold in the picture so I tend to agree with her that that tank and bra shot would be better suited to something inside
I am torn between loving the open back of the trapeze tank and thinking it looks like the wearer got their shirt all twisted up accidentally while getting dressed. Anyone try it on or have input on how it looks in person?
@Anonymous 5:30, if you live somewhere where that top would be considered a scandalous running top, or if you would genuinely fear for your safety, you should really move. Honestly, I fail to see how a few square inches of exposed back flesh should be a problem.
I would totally wear that tank to run outside. Don't see what's wrong wtih that?
@ anon 9:49 am - I am not a fan of the way lululemon twists the fabrics in these types of tanks. I don't mind twisted fabrics but I like them tacked down a bit.
Lol- I just noticed they are showing a bra style in the photo of the gray Trapeze Twist tank.
I would also run in that tank outside. I also run with just a bra and nothing on top of it. the only bra I don't wear alone is the tata tamer.
I live in NYC and run in a bra and shorts when It is too warm to layer. Never had any issues. Some people like to be more discreet than others.
It's a choice.

Maybe you're not an outdoor runner but seriously it gets hot here in the summer. The lighter the better. And to be honest I don't care if you can see my bra when I'm running for 2 hours in 90 degree heat.
TG nothing of interest on WMTM this week. This studio pant fiasco has really done me in. As far as that goes, I'm wondering how many old ones is enough?
How does it look cold? It looks exactly the same as where I am and it's 72 degrees out.
Yeah I see absolutely nothing weird about running in a wooded area with a tank that exposes your back. Maybe she lives in Florida, who knows.
Anon 9:04 & 9:52 a.m. I knew my comment would spark conversation and that's fine. My personal preference is to wear a top and not have much if any bra showing. I know I am not the only one that prefers that as I run on river valley trails daily in a large metropolitan city and see what other runners wear. This tank just isin't a few inches exposed in back, the entire tank looks to be sheer as well as cutouts. As I said before, this style of top would be great for hot indoor workouts but it's rare that I see outdoor runners in only a bra or this type of tank, so I found it odd to see it pictured as such.
Anon 11:13a.m. thanks for not being defensive in your response.
@LuluAddict -- I agree. I think it just looks sloppy. I wish it was the same tank without the twists.
@ anon 2:05 pm - the white tranquil tank is way too sheer for my comfort zone but I bought the black one to use for running and spin since it's so light and airy. With the Strap It Like It's Hot bra on underneath, there really isn't a ton of skin showing since it has so much coverage in the back. However, I get what you're saying about not flashing too much skin as a runner.
Yo! All you runners out there! Who cares what you wear! It so does not matter. You all should be commended for getting out there and being active! Just do it!
LuluAddict I think the black sheer would work much better if wanting something light overtop for outdoors and it would be great for spin. I don't find it "scandalous" to wear only a bra or something sheer when outdoor running, it just isin't what I see very often as outdoor running gear. I am a CRB or Swiftly Racerback girl on really hot days running outside. I am finding LLL really lacks in good outdoor running tanks for the those who don't want it all out there.
Paige - Thanks

I just bought the black tranquil tank for outdoor running and for indoor workouts. I really like how light and airy the tank is, and I like showing a peek of brightly colored sportswear. However, that's just my preference.
I have to say that I've never looked at someone working out and questioned their attire. I really don't think that much about what I personally put on to work out as long as it isn't riding up, falling down, or getting in my way. I'm an ex-cheerleader/dancer and current gymnast so nike pros and a sports bra were all I wore for years.
I totally get that you want more coverage, as that's how I feel when I put my free to be wild on - the cleavage makes me personally uncomfortable so I usually pull my top up a little higher, but I think other women totally rock that low-cut look! Some people just feel better with a sheer top on over their sports bra, and sometimes it's too hot for a fully thick tank. Variety is the spice of life!
Pretty shocked by the judgemental tone of 5:30 AM's comment and then again at 2:05.
Gonna concur with all the ladies that are more open minded, have no problem with the tank's sheerness, open back, and the bra straps showing and yes running outside! I too will run in just a sports bra when it is extremely hot in summer (major metropolitan city) and we even have urban trails and I feel totally safe. I do not think it is odd at all and YES I see quite a few other sporty, fit women wearing just a bra top with their shorts, crops, or skirt. I usually go out with a CRB on and it usually stays on but yup, sometimes I take it off or don't even put it on. For context: I'm 40. And yes, I'm extremely fit and comfortable with who I am.
That said, if you prefer to be more modest and feel uncomfortable showing even a bra strap, that's your choice.
P.S. When I saw the photo of the woman on the trail plus the way it frames her, the first thing I thought was: "that's a nice shot" and of course the woman looks great.
I find differing perspectives fascinating because it never crossed my mind that there was anything "wrong" with that shot. But do I judge? Sure we we all do. A** cheeks hanging out of too tight shorts sport or otherwise? Yeah, gonna judge as that would be immodest to me, unlike the bra top or more open tank.
Oh no!! Someone doesn't think like me! What an evil person! I am woman, hear me roar! Judge the judger! She's evil for " not having an open mind". Seriously you guys. Who cares? She has an opinion, you have an opinion... Don't slam her for judging then judge her yourself. We need to be better than that.
The woman running in the tank and bra doesn't bother me one bit - actually the first thing that came to mind was - tan lines! I'm in a summer longing state of mind
the way I take the comment about the woman running in the wood is more like someone being worried for someone else's safety. I never had the impression that the comment was 'oh, why is she half undressed and showing so much skin'. I really took it as 'hope she is safe on the trails'.
