Warehouse Sale is Over

lululemon-warehouse-sale
The warehouse sale (abruptly?) ended about a half hour ago. The last time I checked a couple of hours ago the US still had something like 70 items with a few items showing full stock in all sizes. Usually the warehouse sale lasts until nearly everything is gone, and to cut it off in the middle of the afternoon seems odd. Weird.

Anyway, I ended up getting the Gator Seamlessly Streets and a $39 Miss Misty jacket. I had my eye on that Bark Berry raincoat but was waiting for another price drop. Were you guys happy with this sale?

I just logged on to make another purchase, boy am I disappointed. I would have bought at least 4 items.

I was able to snag a white miss misty for $39 and the vinyasa scarf for $24! I also got a pair of skinny grooves when the sale first started -- only to find they dropped the price by $15 a day later. Oh well, all in all I was happy with what I got/prices. I will definitely withhold from buying too much the first day next time, unless I LITERALLY can't live without it.

I was kinda sad it was over so fast. I was thinking about getting the inspires and possible the both ways bomber jacket. Weird to end it early Friday when it's most likely payday.

Anonymous said...

Not overly happy, lol. I got my warehouse purchases this morning and... I should've just passed instead of telling myself I needed them. The only things I really scored was a $29 105 singlet and a pair of $59 wunder unders. The rest (boyfriend pants & long sleeve zen shirt) were a bust in the fit department. Pants were too baggy and the Zen shirt fits me funny in the shoulders, chest and arms. Kind of a bummer sale.

That was odd, that it just disappeared like that - there was a vest in the Canadian sale I had my eye on that still had full stock in all sizes; I was waiting to see if the price would drop any further before pulling the trigger.

Unknown said...

I thought the sale was ok... I could've held out a little bit longer and saved some money, but I do feel like I got some good deals. I'm surprised it cut off so abruptly; there were a few things I was watching that I would've grabbed tonight. (Off to the outlet??) Next go-round I will definitely be more judicious early on, and wait for the prices on my C-list stuff to drop. I left quite a bit of money on the table, and I knew better than to bother calling to recoup anything. That's the way the cookie crumbles, and at least I didn't have to leave my house!

I was waiting for the headbands to come down in price and all of a sudden no more sale!

OHBabbs said...

Very strange ending. I had a couple of things in my cart went to dinner and came back to pull the trigger and GONE! Guess you never know with Lululemon. Every other retailer tells you when the sale ends. Not these guys!

Anonymous said...

It was weird. I checked yesterday in the afternoon and some items in my size that were in my cart abruptly disappeared and then this morning around 8am those items were back online (best vest jacket and will pants) marked at the same price as yesterday--not further reduced. I also noticed that other items reappeared as well. I almost feel like lulu has rigged it a bit to show scarcity of sale items and encourage emotional purchases for fear of missing out.

Anonymous said...

Odd. I just checked around dinner time (EST) and there was still a ton of stuff available. Also, I noticed some items that I had my eye on last night were gone this morning but then reappeared again later on. Oh well. There wasn't anything I really loved anyway. Weird ending though.

Anonymous said...

I agree, so weird! I was keeping an eye on it this afternoon waiting for prices to drop on a few things, and poof! Kind of disappointed! I'm happy with the three things I did get---

I ended up buying nine items, despite not buying anything when the sale went up. Everything I bought went on further discount, which is what triggered the later purchases. I ended up placing three orders, one of which must have been in the final minutes of the sale. I was buying for myself and both of my daughters, so it's more likely that I'll find something since we all take different sizes.

I 'overpaid' on one item by $10, but other than that I got the lowest price of the sale on all items. Score!

Order 1:
Three Cabin Yogi wraps
Let's Get Visible Hoodie

Order 2:
Let's Get Visible Vest
Warm Core Hoodie
Two Day Trip Blouses

Order 3:
Find Your Bliss Jacket ($39!!!)

It was my first warehouse sale, and while I was underwhelmed at first I ended up finding some good deals. I'm happy with what I got. I have no shipment notifications yet, so we'll see if I actually get everything I ordered.

I got on right away and got amala tank which I had been waiting for in canada and at half off. Lol. I went back later in morning and got seamlessly in both iris and gator. I was happy with my purchase. Glad there wasn't too much more to tempt me.

Bizarre. I had ten things in my cart that I was iffy on, waiting to see if the price would drop any more. I guess they didn't want to sell to me. No regrets I guess.

I bought two headbands, a pair of shorts & the Away Dress (which went down from 99 to 69 like an hour after I bought it- super lame).

Tried to get the Vinyasa scarf when it was uploaded both times but it wouldn't load into my cart. The same with one of the bags.

Initially I was disappointed with the prices, but by this morning I was buying. I picked up that Alberta Lake reflective pullover hoodie that I had been eyeing since it first showed up. $228 was insane. If it were still cool outside I probably would have bought it at $99. This morning it was $69 and well worth it in my opinion. Then there was a restock of some items and sizes because 8:30ish (EST) there were lots of sizes and colors in items that had previously sold out. I picked up sculpt shorts and a retreat shirt--both had previously been sold out when I checked this morning around 5:30. Mind you I have not received shipping notices for any of these items so who knows if they really are available, but I will take it all in stride with this kind of sale if any of it gets cancelled.

Anonymous said...

Did anyone notice if prices reduced again and that led to the end of the sale? Or did they just remove it ? So frustrating after splurging on the first day, i really wanted to get a few items once they dropped in price so that it would actualy feel like a warehouse sale.got anoyed with the begining of the sale and the end was just as disapointing. I wish they woulda gave a "sale ends" time.

Anonymous said...

I also wanted a couple of headbands - was waiting for them to drop just a bit (they never did drop in price at all which was weird).

They should have done something like "Sale ends in 1 hour" with a countdown clock. Seriously, I think they would have sold a bunch more stuff if people knew it was ending. a lot of stuff I was just watching waiting for a price drop or just debating whether I really wanted it or not.

Anon @ 4.23 I also noticed that things disappeared and then reappeared again.

I ordered 3 separate times at various points of the day yesterday and I have not received a shipping confirmation! I'm a little worried, although i kind of wouldn't care if the money ended up in my bank account instead. I definitely didn't need what I got.

Starfighter said...

Yes, I think they must have had tech difficulties. I visited quite often and things would be out of stock, then back in stock. I had stuff in my cart and I was going to wait until 6:00 PM EST to pull the trigger to be safe, but they disappeared. One of the items was still available in all sizes when I put it in the cart a few minutes before.

Oh well, I got a lot of good deals, I hope I don't get cancellation letters because of the issues they were having. I got two headbands, a Seva jacket, Surf to Sand Triangle, a Crew Love pullover and Peplum pullover. None of them were over 29.00 so I'm happy. I actually also got some really great deals in my local store last night so it's been quite the LLL week.

Which vinyasa scarf did you score? I must have blinked and missed it!

I did well with the sale, but not pleased with the abrupt end. I was going to go back after dropping my daughter off and then, oops, its over. Why they don't give when it will end makes no sense. I don't like the way they run things. For a company that promotes peace/zen and wellness, this gives me the feel of a type of passive aggressive/emotional manipulation type behaviour. (If that makes sense) I am a very straight forward person, and I don't like 'game playing', and that's what it feels like to me.
That said, on a positive note, I did still get some goodies. Seamlessly streets in black/gray bottoms, the black cherry/white reversible jacket, daytrip boyfriend camo pants (was waiting forever for them to be uploaded to Canada and they never did so it find them here was sheer happiness for me. Hopefully I ordered the correct size!) tear away pants and the short sleeve sweater in black. I have it in pink and it is way cuter on than in the photo's.

Thanks for your blog LLA, just love it!
Jenn

I was considering buying one of the LS shirts and the boyfriend pants tonight, but since they pulled the plug on the sale early, I ended up not buying a single item at the sale this year. Feels weird.

Starfighter said...

I wanted the boyfriend camos so bad! They were one of the things in my cart. Good for you for snagging them!

Anonymous said...

Got seamless streets and flow crops yesterday. A misty today and was still watching the plum WUs and WUCs, and the visible hoodie. All in all kind of a relief that it ended. Who knows how much I would have ended up spending! Slightly disappointed about the plum WUCs tho..

OHBabbs said...

I was checking during the day for price drops on the items in my cart and I noticed that the quantity in my cart was doubling every time I checked. At one point I had 36 items all of the same 3 things. So yes they were having tech problems.

3crazykids said...

I ordered the a crew sweatshirt and Find Your Zen long sleeve late on the first day and already got my order today!

The ending was totally bizarre. I'll bet that even if they'd posted "1 hour left", they would have moved lots of product in that final hour, even at the prices they were last at. I got 7 things total - most of what I bought, I'd already tried on or owned one of already, but I did buy the Yogini Trousers and the Devi Crew sweater blind today - both were at $34 though so I'm not out major $$ if they end up being a fail. I mean - Lulu product for the cost of a lipstick - definitely worth the gamble.

I felt bad for whoever was answering their CS line today. It was crazy to me reading the over the top freaking out on social media over seeing items they'd bought further reduced. It sucks, but hey - it's an online warehouse sale meant to move product (kind of like reverse ebay). You can gamble on some or get your must-haves early and take solace in the fact that you were happy at the price you bought it for at the time you did - that's what matters.

I bought the Let's Get Visible vest initially, as I eyed it when it was in stores but passed due to the cost. When the Miss Misty and FGV Hoodie were marked down further, I ordered one of each.

It's funny that they insist that everything sold out when we know that can't be true. I'm sure that items from the sale will show up in the outlets soon.

scrapbookone said...

Very disappointed with the abrupt ending. I had three items in my cart ran, some errands, was going to pull the trigger at 3:09 Pacific standard time and they were gone.

Anonymous said...

@Jenn totally agree with what you said about the company. I get the exact vibe, I feel like they are manipulating us.
I like their products but it is very hard to respect them as a company. not cool.

Unknown said...

(And never fear, y'all... Don't forget that the stuff you missed out on and that you truly can't get out of your head will end up on EBay soon enough for three times the price.)

Why is everyone so surprised it ended? I know past LLL warehouse sales or Boxing Day, stock dwindles and you can tell it's coming to an end. However, the warehouse email actually states it ends on the 17th. Technically the 17th starts at 12:01 AM so they could have pulled the plug then. Probably everyone expects 11:59 PM but anyway, it ended in between. I do think somehow they may have been making a point to the customer: you think you can continue to wait for a further price drop before you buy the item? No, it's done. OR we're tired of the whining on social media, so: it's done. OR stock really did sell out.

For those that waited for further mark downs and then pulled the trigger, good for you. I love it when patience pays off (that happened today for me with another brand. They were having technical issues but were so fabulous by email on a workaround if they couldn't fix the problem, but they did fix the technical problem). For the LLL sale I purchased three great items at the beginning and I know the marked down prices were good; I've shopped the brand long enough (those items all sold out quickly). I received my shipping notification tonight.

I got the seamlessly street crops in the heathered iris flower, the dancing warrior tank in the floral sport multi that's now on WMTM and the find your bliss jacket in the iridescent / green. I had several other items I was watching and that were in my basket like the Devi crew Sweater in the cherry/mint combo and when I went back around 5 pm central I discovered them in my basket but it said all sold out..which I can't imagine..the Devi Crew had full size run still available at 1 PM central..Just odd.

Had my eye on the Miss Misty once it went down to $39, but then the sale ended. I was also waiting on some of the WUs to drop further, but they never did.
Guess it wasn't meant to be! The universe is telling me I already have enough Lulu! :)

I'm so glad i was about to finally snag the Spring Flight Windbreaker in oil slick camo blue for $79 that I had been coveting forever. Thought about possibly waiting for another price drop, but so glad I bit the bullet this morning.

Starfighter said...

I just got the shipping notification for the big order I placed early in the day. I have two more small ones I'm waiting for. It's going to be like Christmas in July!

Unknown said...

I was carefully watching the sweaters too -- If they had dipped a tiny bit more I would've ordered smaller set of sizes of the mint and peach. The gray was selling out, but the others didn't seem to be moving at all. I would've been suckered in and gotten them if LL had posted a 'one hour left' clock.

Rise and Shine said...

I got my order today, but only half of it and still no emails. Sometimes Lululemon's lack of professionalism is just too much. I put something in the cart, process the order, get charged, and then ... ? I don't know if I'm going to get my order or not because I haven't received any emails. And if it doesn't come now, I have to go to eBay because they discontinued the pace setter and the replacement skirts pretty much suck. Disappointing.

Anonymous said...

The abrupt ending was a real bummer. Seems LLL would rather alienate customers than selling them at a reasonable price. Most items were up on wmtm for weeks already! Maybe they are trying to ship some of the stuff to Australia/NZ since their fall/winter season is coming up. I've been a loyal lulu addict for a while now, but some of their recent actions make me feel rather unappreciated as a customer!

Anonymous said...

Both items I purchased on the first night appeared to have sold out by the next day, then later reappeared on the site at slightly lower price. I don't mind, both were still great bargains and all in all I would have saved about $10 if I'd waited. I'm just happy to have access to a warehouse sale at all, and hope LLL continues to offer them online in the future! I just received my shipment today, too - that was fast! :)

Rise and Shine said...

Ok, per paypal, my warehouse purchases were charged on different days, even though they were in the same cart, so it's possible my missing skirt is still on its way. So, if any of you receive partial orders, you might still get your missing items.

Anonymous said...

The 'surprise!' abrupt end was disappointing. I bought a couple of basics ... I can't get nice sports bras for $19 anywhere ... but overall was disappointed. Last year, I was able to grab six pairs of pants, two at the last minute and for a steal ... that was spending money I had not intended on spending at Lululemon ... I like their stuff but am disillusioned by the company ... even eBay lets you know when something is going to end! For a company that targets yogis it certainly does not appear to exhibit different values than any other firm out here.

I have yet to receive shipping confirmations on any of my orders, including the first one which was placed early on Thursday. This is likely due to high volumes, but can any other Canadians confirm they're in the same place? I'll feel better if we're all in limbo. Misery loves company. ;)

Anonymous said...

I was waiting too and ended up with nothing. I was confused by the things selling out and then reappearing. Definitely didn't think it would end that soon. LLA: Do you think that many of these items will go straight to "we made too much"?

LuluAddict said...

@Deb - Weird about no emails. I received my first warehouse sale order today and I got emails about them.

Anonymous said...

@LLA., thanks. Ugh, now I am starting to worry. I actually called last night and they said my order looked fine, but that they're backed up. If everyone else is getting shipping notifications on their Canadian orders, then something has to be wrong. I'm not concerned about the orders I placed yesterday afternoon, but I'd have expected Thursday am to ship by now.

Anonymous said...

@Deb, I haven't received any shipping confirmations of my orders either. And one was from the first night. Getting worried...(Cad website)

Starfighter said...

Just got my second shipping confirmation for the Surf to Sand triangle. Just waiting now for the Seva jacket and headbands.

Unknown said...

I called LL yesterday in what I knew would be a futile attempt to order a few online warehouse items that I knew hadn't sold out, but I thought I'd try anyway. I was told that the stuff could end up back on WMTM or it might go to the outlets. The phone reps never seem to know a whole lot about that kind of stuff!

Anonymous said...

I was super annoyed at the sale. I bought the cabin yogi wrap for $69 early in the morning. Logged on to check out the sale again around supper time snd the wrap was even further on sale for $49. I called to complain and see if I could get a price adjustment and was told by two different people there was nothing they could do for me. This is really causing me to reconsider ever shopping at lulu again.

Anonymous said...

@ Deb - I placed 7 orders over the course of the sale. I've received shipping confirmations for 3 of those - the other four are still in 'processing' when I check my account. My very first order - which was probably 10 minutes into the sale - hasn't shipped yet. I think they're just overloaded at the moment... hopefully anyway.

I recieved emails for shipping on my Wednesday order.but my thursday and my friday order is still on proccessing status even on my account. Im in canada. Feeling nervous that shipping labels wernt created at least for the the orders placed thursday morning????

At the beginning the items were the same price that they were on wmtm. I don't consider that a great sale.its a same sale.

@Deb I also bought something on Canadian website and waiting for the email now. I bought my stuff early Friday morning

Deb said...

@LLA, it's Monday and I still have no e-mails. I called the GEC and I gather that they're still on Thursday orders. She suggested that I should get my shipping notice for Thursday today and will probably get the Friday order notices tomorrow. Sounds like the US warehouse got items out more quickly.

@Deb - fellow Canadian. Also no shipping notification emails. First order placed Thursday AM, second Thursday PM. My husband placed an order Thursday AM as well and he has gotten his emails. Glad I'm not the only one!

Got 3 black bang busters and a small towel the day the sale went live. Not a mind blowing selection to begin with, and I don't need another pair of crops so long as I live, butttt those gator green ones were calling my name for a second order. Oh well.

@DEb - you aren't the only one who has not received any emails. I did get emails and one of my orders but I am in the US.
