Every time I look at the Lucky SS I wonder why they put the swap of fabric down the back of the shirt. It makes the back so busy and confusing. I just want to cut it out!
I keep thinking the design board is reading customer feedback and thinkin "crap! We have one more mesh/camo upload to get rid of some mistakes and then we'll start making awesome bra tanks, solid CRBs, more popular bottoms, and other things people have been clamoring for!" Then we get more bizarro mesh disasters. Is someone trying to sink the company from the inside? I get ingunuity is necessary to stay ahead of the wave, but recent releases seem intentionally terrible and non functional. What is happening?!
What on earth is going on with this drapey, mesh crap? Who wants to exercise in a gym, doing Yoga moves no less, constantly adjusting the gaping fabric in the back, having it get caught on your elbows, etc? Just nuts. And, it typical Lulu fashion they will beat the heck out of this moody mirage print until we are sick to death of seeing it. Also...got an order this week and this is the first time everything is going back. Block party High times, Cyber Stripe Inspires and Mesh Inspire III's...all bad. Nothing special, nothing I had to have. Pretty disappointing.
Good lord! This stuff is awful. Who is Lulu marketing toward lately? I've moved on to Athleta, Road Runner Sports, and Nike. I'm tired of waiting for new CRB colors and also tired of paying the ridiculous prices for Lulu bottoms.
@ anon 8:30 pm - Why didn't you like the Cyber Stripe Inspires? I tried them on last week and was underwhelmed. I am returning the ones I ordered, too.
I see Lab designer influence in all these never-ending impractical mesh pieces. I wish they'd offer more of the "classic" lululemon style pieces.
Definitely seeing a lot more Nike at my gym mixed in with old Lulu stuff... Agree with everyone on the current abysmal offerings. Havent had the urge to walk into my lulu store in months.
I actually really liked the Cyber Stripe Inspires. On me they were a little tight but I think that's my fault, not lulu's.;) I like the idea of something different than my typical black inspire that is still versatile with all my colorful tops. This If You're Lucky series feels more like a Barre capsule to me. I see a lot of women wearing drapey, open back tops in class. And lulu is definitely not the only company beating mesh detail into the ground. It's on everything these days. That or cut-out detail.
NO sh_t!!!! agree agree agree w/ all you practical Ladies!!!!! I loved the black cherry solid crb and high times crops and that is the only thing i bought all year except a scuba hoody in that dark green (solid); yeah all theat drapy super curved hemline garbage and the sag crotch crops that no one wants..... does seem like they are trying to sink the ship! No more cute details such as ruffles here and there and technical items that are designed to be worn by athletes, oh no none of that......... IDIOTS!!!!!
Good grief, the pricing on Lulu is getting North of ridiculous! I can't believe they expect people to pay almost $70 for an ill fitting, sheer short sleeved shirt that looks like a mob of moths fed off the back. I remember when you could get a nice, opaque long sleeved shirt with no holes for the same price. #justsayno! #votewithyourwallets!
I totally agree with you guys on these pieces..I too am confused as to why they have seemingly left behind so many popular tried and true styles.I did however get a chance to try on the If You're Lucky LS and was pleasantly surprised with the black one..I sized down and felt that with the right tank underneath this could be a fun club type style to wear with my hubby on date night..however I would never wear this to the gym :) I have been going through my vintage Lulu as I occasionally sell through eBay (I can't possibly wear everything I have collected through the years) but I find myself reluctant to get rid of the older classic styles as nothing lately is all that appealing!
LLA, I didn't care for the Cyber Stripe Inspires because the fabric was strange. Can't put my finger on it, but it was a little scratchy and I didn't find that they were particularly flattering on. I expected more. I was looking though my drawer the other day at my old Lulu pieces and it is sooo sad how they've decided to sell out and go for the trendy, let's expose EVERYTHING wear. Are they secretly trying to get back at us for complaining about the sheerness???
I was @ the Halifax store recently and they had 40-50 Fro drizzle jackets in black and not one person was looking at them! lol I went up and looked at their selection of CRBs And they had three colors!!!! The store was quiet and I looked around and very few people were buying. I asked the girl about 2 recent jackets that just came out in the past month and she said that they had already shipped them back to head office. Overall, the store was very poorly stocked up and I ended up leaving in five minutes. :( Many of the pieces they did offer were either gray black or white! lol... BOR-ING...
8:15 that is interesting. The store I go to here in NYC (union square) has been really busy lately, there is always a line especially around lunch time. I think a lot of people who stand around at my gym like to wear lulu.

Ugh! My wallet is extremely safe this week...AGAIN.
They need to fire whoever gave the green light to the If You're Fugly line.

What a disaster these clothes are.

That bra reminds me of my first training bra....

Ooh the black cherry WUCs look really good amongst the unLucky range of stuff.

Omg!! The only half decent purchase would be the Black Cherry WU!!!
Did Edward Sizzorhands attack that SS?? I've been buying Lulu for less than a year now and even I want the old Lulu back!!!

I honestly would not accept that t-shirt if it was free even. It is so ugly with the big square open back that I wouldn't wear it anywhere!

That bra is HORRIBLY HIDEOUS!!! I think I may puke!

@ anon 7:04 am- I found the material scratchy, too. I like my Textured Wave and Giant Herringbone Inspires a lot better.
