The Desert Snake Print Mesh With Me Tank. Shown in the last photo are Harbor Blue What the Sport Shorts. I wish I liked the print better because I really like the combination of white/silver used on the tank.

Nice close up of the Cyber Stripe What the Sport short. I've heard this print has a slight texture to it.

What the heck is with that zipper that is the whole length of those pants??? Are people actually supposed to wear them unzipped all the way? And for why??

LuluAddict said...

I think the zippers are so you can take them on and off without taking your shoes off. They're not meant to be worn that way.

In my opinion they ruined the black cherry FTBW with those bark berry straps. Maybe it will look better in person but they should have use a different color - white perhaps? It just looks completely dull against that vibrant pink.

Hopefully there is a lining on the inside of those zippers because who wants a cold zipper touching that much of your leg. It's a bit much - below the knee is plenty of length to be able to get them on and off without taking off your shoes. :)

I don't need the Black Cherry FTBW since it is too close to the grape bumbleberry one that I have (and love). I do not care for what they did with the multi-coloured straps on the bc one.

No sweat pant - interesting but not for me.

The Mesh with Me tank looks really flattering on the woman with the sporting the white snakeskin one.

If you're lucky jacket - what a disaster. For me I say "you're lucky you have the sense not to buy that thing." Like others, I do not care for this mesh trend at all. Saving me money anyway :)

If the zippers actually went all the way up, I'd buy them in a nanosecond, but they stop at the waistband, which is idiotic. I skate and it's really great to have pants you can remove after warming up without having to take your skates off. When Capezio made skating clothes, I had some black fleece leggings that zipped all the way up. They were fitted and cut low so that you could wear them under the skirt of your skating dress. Unfortunately, skating being a niche market, they stopped making skating stuff and now most of the people I skate with wear Lulu.

Any reportson those sweats, like If those zippers are bothersome?

I like the No Sweat pants but don't want a cold, hard zipper running all the way up my leg. Same reason I couldn't get down with that bomber jacket. Zippers aren't comfortable!

The pants are really not that loose fitting though so they kind of look dumb layered, I think. This defeats the purpose of the full zipper really. The print looks horrible on that style.

I feel like the strategy at lulu is to grab hold a any trend (*cough camo* *cough mesh*) and beat it into the ground relentlessly. A few accents/pieces here and there in mesh were mesh were nice for me, bit now it's overkill. Ditto to camo, snake print (!?) etc. Bring back solid CRBs, creative elegant tanks, and keep it up with the recent tights (sans mesh).

I'm begging you, Lulu, stop with the mesh! That jacket should go straight to WMTM.

As to the Unlucky jacket, why bother wearing one? If it's warm enough to wear that oddity, than it's too hot to wear a jacket! Sometimes, you wonder what the heck those designers are smoking! The Harbor Blue sure looks pretty, though.

Saw the No Sweat pants in store and they are really cute. I don't need any more casual sweatpants, but would consider them. Educator says they are a potential size-up.

They are making those tanks too narrow - even the fit models have side boob/under arm fat squishing out. The cut is unflattering! No matter how narrow your chest is you will have issues. Saw three tiny women in the change area in my local store complain about the same thing...if your blessed in this area you will have side explosions!

The tanks themselves are nice, love the mesh and the cross back, but the front is a functional mess!

LuluAddict said...

@Hannah - "creative elegant tanks" - YES!! I could not agree more.

LuluAddict said...

@ ruthie - I really hate the armholes on a lot of tanks right - Sculpt for one, the high neck swiftly, the Think Fast - and those are all wear your own bra. You are right, though, the model wearing the silver stripe Crossback tank is showing armpit fat/upper boob - not a good look.

I really really really really really dislike all the mesh. I don't understand the mesh jacket at all.

If Your Lucky: I just think, if it's hot enough for me to need that much ventilation, I don't need a jacket.
I wonder how the zipper pants will wash? I imagine them coming out all wrinkled where the zips are.

Those tanks look like I would throw out a shoulder trying to get it on and off - let alone the bulging problem I would have on the side!

Can the mesh trend be gone! Can Lulu revert back to making practical, functional pieces we used to know and love. Jeeze.

This is sort of off topic, but does anyone have any idea what kind of nikes the woman modeling the If You're Lucky Jacket is wearing? (grey/orange/light blue)

I'm loving the brightness of the Harbor Blue Pace Pusher Half Zip in these pictures but online it looks so dark and blah. I'd love to know which is most like the colour. Might have to order just to have a look for myself.

the cyber stripe material does have a texture to it, to me it is a little on the rough side.
I don't get the sweat pants at all.

Watch Olympics track and field circa 1984 and you'll get the zippered pants. But as the skater pointed out they need to unzip ALL the way. ;)

I received my Tuesday order today and thought I'd give some feedback.

I ordered the Pace Pusher 1/2 zip in white in my TTS 4...it fits nicely and is a good length on me (5'2, average torso), and is pretty soft and comfortable.

The negative though is I see it as maybe a $78 piece at most, not $98. It's fairly thin in the luon light, and while I wasn't expecting a thick top like the Flurry Fighter, I feel like the price should reflect the difference in thickness/warmth. I'm on the fence about keeping it...it's definitely cute, but I don't feel I got what I paid for.
I also ordered the brush stroke All-Sport bra, and the pattern is just gorgeous. It goes nicely with my Bali Breeze, Baroque Blue and Pipe Dream Blue tops from last year; it's a keeper for sure.
Now if we can get the Top Speed crops in the cyber stripe pattern I'll be happy ;)

Saw the desert snake print today - gorgeous! I hope they use it for other tops - would look great with either a bright color or black bottom.

@ anon 4:32 pm - I tried on the Pace Pusher Half Zip today and was underwhelmed. I agree about the $98 price point being too much. I was very aware of the seams on my forearms, I hated the finish on the front zipper pockets, and I hate, HATE the Warpstream used on the cuffs. One reason I glommed onto lululemon in the first place was the nice tactile feel of their materials against my skin. I love luxtreme but I hate the harsh feel of Warpstream. If I want harsh-feeling athletic wear I'll buy Moving Comfort for a lot less. OTOH, I truly LOVE the Pace Pusher LS, particularly the heathered colors. The heathered black is super silky feeling and I love the little peep of mesh in the front. I went back and ordered the heathered slate Pace Pusher LS this afternoon.

LLA, I'm anon @4:32 and I totally agree about the pace pusher LS...I also bought the heathered black and it's a great top, much better quality than the 1/2 zip. I think I'm going to exchange the 1/2 zip for another LS...the 1/2 zip is very underwhelming, just like you said.
