OT- I bought the think fast pullover and long sleeve because I just love herringbone and pique and where so nice, thick and soft I couldn't say no. Except after washing my pullover the reflective piece on the back of it it's really bumpy and looks bad. I wanted to know if anyone has had this problem. I really love it but everytime I pass a mirror I see the fugly hem/reflective piece bulging out. It has such great reviews and I agree with them just after the wash it seems to not be the same :(
Hi LLA, what colour are the stripes on the heather slate define? In the pics above, the stripes look more fatigue green but on the Lulu website (Canada) , they look grey (i.e. slate). Thx
I'm always so tempted to give the ebb to streets a chance.. Can anyone comment on their quality in the past? Any issues with opacity, fading, pilling, pulling, etc.?
I love my Street Ebbs. I have them in almost every color, and they are one of my favorite LL pieces. I don't find them to me sheer at all, but I size up quite a bit. I'm a 2 in Studio Pants and I get the Ebbs in a 6. They are very compressive, even sized up. I have yet to snag a pair, but I could see how that might easily happen. So fat they've held up great -- I love them!
hi - love the quality of my ebb to street pants and the style is adorable. The only issue I have is the large "cuff" at the bottom can get a little itchy (could be my dry winter skin)! Other than that LOVE - different and cute - not see through.
Re: the Ebb to Street pants, I've always assumed they fit and wore like the In the Flow crops. I bought a pair of the In the Flows because I loved the way they fit in the store. They looked great, were opaque and nicely compressive. However, what I quickly found out is that I would be pulling them up every few minutes. I tried running in them and I was miserable until I got sweaty enough that they sort of stayed up a little better. So I ended up selling them and have avoided any pants that seem like they'll have that same problem and the Ebb to Street seem that way to me. But I'd love to hear that I'm wrong from any other posters because I do like the way these look.
I tried on the Tonka Stripe Heathered Slate define and really really loved the fabric. I'm not a big fan of the style and fit of the Define for me. If this had come in a Forme jacket I would have snapped it up.
I do not care for that Define with the white zippers. It's all I can see, it detracts from the jacket.
@ Anon 8:46 - I don't know about the Think Fast pullover but for the Rebel Runner Vest (currently on wmtm Canada) there are a couple of reviews about the reflectivity deteriorating. I think for the shirt itself there are a few reviews about poor seams and sewing etc. Sucks to have a quality issue.
@anon 8.30 and 7.22 i got these pants in the cadet blue a while ago, mine were thick and opaque but the material although held up well it just is such a thick weave I find them too hot for my climate. Kind of like the in the flows but thicker. They were compressive and hid any imperfections well but the design and material always maDe me feel like I was wearing thick thermals lol. I'm not a yogi though I am a runner and so got them for lounging and stretching. I ended up selling them for reasons above but they were very comfortable ( apart from being hot for my climate!) I also hear they are great for wearing under ski wear if you ski! Hope this helps a bit ! Thanks LLA for this great blog I love the gorgeous variety of models we see here rocking the LLL clothes :-)
I was wondering about the ebb street pants too, and glad I read the comments on this post. Thanks ladies :) I love my In the Flows and was contemplating these ebb pants. They look so comfy!
Did you throw it in the dryer ? If you didn't and its a clear defect you should take it back to a store to see if they can do a swap out for you. Unless it happened to both of them. My store still carries both colors
I like the fit and opacity of the Ebb to Street pants, but can't get over the crotch, which is very see through and NOT well-designed for poses like happy baby or cobbler's pose.
@Alison - those knit pants like Ebb to Street and In the Flows tend to give me weird shadows in my crotchetorial area. I have the original Ebb and Flow crops which I like but don't wear that often since I don't love the feel of the material but some colors are more problematic than others for me. I know a lot of people love the Ebb to Streets and In the Flows but I am not one.
Ebb to Streets and In the Flows are horrific on me. I swear they CREATE cellulite...or I'm in denial about how much I have. It's awful. Most girls love them. They make me want to swear off food.

I've never tried these pants, but I love the color. Are they typically pretty opaque?

@ anon 5:50 am - I think they are gray.

I got the Wren Ebbs in-store today, and they had them in Alberta Lake as well. Really pretty, so yay!!
