Thanks to Ms. D. for letting me use her photo of the new Brushed Illusion print Inspire crops that I posted about yesterday. These are in Australia now. The print is a bit more muted in these photos and the color is more true to life than yesterday's photos. I really like it and it reminds me a bit of the most sought-after older lululemon print, Unicorn Tears. Too bad lululemon is no longer making Scoop Neck tanks because this print would make a super cute one. I definitely will get a Power Y in this print if it's made. Ms. D. said you will have to use nude underwear under these crops.
Update - I dug up a photo of my old Mix A Lot print Tri Y tank. The green and peachy pink remind me of some of the colors in the Brushed Illusions. I could kick myself for getting rid of all my Tri Ys.

Sad to hear they are sheer but will still buy in this print in the Inspires. I really love it.
LLA - I still have that TriY in that print - and the matching Shape jacket - love them! Summertime staple. I wish Lulu would put out more prints like this - especially in more supportive tanks.
I look back at the older stuff I got rid of and want to kick myself - Pow Wet Rose Wrap Tech tank, my wish blue multi stripe scuba, etc., grrr. The Tri Y was great for bustier women even though it fit super snug. They've done something to the current Power Ys because it doesn't fit the same for me in the chest anymore.
I still wear my wish blue multi stripe Push Ur Limits - but sadly got rid of my Unicorn Tears Power Y and Push Ur Limits tanks. I like the straps on the Tri Y so much more than the Power Y - so no matter how lovely the tank, I won't buy them anymore. They just sit in the drawer.
that is an interesting pattern. I will have to see it person.
It doesn't remind me of unicorn tears though but I can see the comparison. This pattern is more expressive and the unicorn tears is more psychedelic.
I have a lift and separate bra with the pattern of your Y tank, poor bra is looking tired, but it's held up.

Sorry to hear these are sheer, because they're one of the only things I would be interested in. However, I REFUSE to buy pants that are sheer. If we buy them anyway, it doesn't give LLL much incentive to fix the problem.
LLA- I had some gorgeous vintage LLL from 2005-2009 that I sold, and I am kicking myself for that, too. :( I had no idea I guess that I wouldn't be able to replace it. Day really killed this brand.
I'd definitely buy a top in this print, but will prob steer clear of pants.
I had been wondering where all the scoop neck tanks were this winter. Major regrets selling the two of mine now; I figured new colors would be coming in them. Ugg.
Still banking on the Hit Your Stride Skirt in this print!!! :)
I hope lulu comes out with some brighter colors soon in US stores! More stuff like this! Australia has been winning. But I suppose it makes sense considering it's their "warmer" seasons over there right now.
I'd definitely get this in a crb. Maybe speed shorts. I've been looking on eBay for a good spread of the mix-a-lot print, but the tri ys don't fit me properly. Good for my bank account I guess because there are so many pretty patterns.
I picked upthe light and bright reflective vest in XS for my 5 year old son today. It was long on him, but not falling off. It should fit him for several years and provide me with some reassurance during evening walks/activities.
That is such a pretty print but to pay $100 for pants that are see thru just seems wrong.
I would like to see this pattern in a bra, like energy bra with some peachy pink straps or something.
btw LLA, I've had the same experience with Athleta, where I will love their pants in the catalog, go to the store specifically to try them on, and they end up being a huge disappointment. It just seems like their pants don't have that magical Lulu power of making your butt and legs look better than they really are. Maybe this has changed in recent times, but I've about given up on them after so many letdowns. Similar experience with their tops, like they just don't flatter.
I will say I love Athleta for swim stuff. That is where they excel. They have something for all body types, very functional, supportive and great quality. You can get some great prices too if you are patient and wait for stuff to go on sale. Lulu could benefit from taking some notes in that arena.
Super cute!! I can't wait to see it in person, let's keep our fingers crossed that the US gets this print. Inspires, tracker shorts or a power y for me please.
I think they are fun...but they also remind me of couches or curtains from the 80s. Brushstrokes were a common print then. And for that reason, I don't think I can buy them though I am looking forward to the color palette. Too much gray and black and blah lately.
I really must have these pants.
I have a unicorn tears power Y that is a little small on me. I haven't sold it because its my favorite print and I think maybe one day I will wear it again :)
I would wear the heck out these in either a WUC or High Times pant.
I'm liking this new print because it is more like lululemon. A lot of the stuff lately looks to me like a nike/UA ish print
I'm in the minority- those colours/print do nothing for me :) . I agree with Anon 147pm- I remember a good friend's sofa looked much like this...
i love the tri y and vinyasa tanks and all the different prints and colors that they came in. i am so glad i have never gotten rid of them. they still look brand new after all these years (much higher quality back then).
the tri y straps are much sturdier than on the power ys. the power y straps just dig into my shoulders and the whole top ends up sagging by the end of the day.
mix a lot and fat bird are two of my most favorite prints by LLL (ivory waterwall and multi state of mind that were the candlelight tanks are my other two favorite prints). the recent ombre wave and paradise grid prints are my favorites of the most recent prints. LLL needs to make more prints like these!
I got a pair of these Inspires today - they are only sheer across the white part of the material - i picked a pair that had lots of brush strokes across the back side. I'm not too fussed about the sheerness cause I'm just wearing them for running and not squats.
oh! and we have scoop neck tanks in Australia! there might be hope for Canada/the US
These definitely are not for me. Agree about the couch comment!
I'm not a fan of this new print (it looks dated to me), but I'm hoping to see a solid tank in a few of the colors within it, especially that pink.
1:00 that is really cool that your son can fit the vest. I have one as well and I love it. It got so many negative comments until it went to the WMTM.
