Britt's Picks

lululemon runbeam ls
This is already in US Stores. I must have this. It comes in three colors - Split Pea,  Gray, and White and Silver Spoon Stripe. At least we have one vibrant color. Come on, lululemon - be like the old days and give us Raspberry Glo or Vintage Pink, something colorful and fun, in these tops.

lululemon yin to you sweater
The sweater we saw teased in the upload is out. I'd love it except for the odd cutout on the sides. The fact that it's merino makes it easy for me to skip even thought it's coming in Alberta Lake.

lululemon tracker iii short

I'm not sure what is different about the Tacker III waistband. It is still gathered and I suspect it has that awful mesh elastic that breaks and creates the elastic pieces that poke out the fabric and irritate us. I hope it is different but the fact they say they updated the "finish" on the waistband, which I take to mean the outside and not the insides, doesn't make me hopeful the problem has been solved.  I'd rather see the same waistband that is used on the Speeds or Groovy Run shorts. Better yet, just bring back Groovy Run shorts.

lululemon warm core hoodie

This looks like it'd be a nice basic, useful piece but the colors are meh. We need color. Tired of pastels and neutrals.

lululemon oneness tank

This tank will be a pass for me.
lululemon clip in ls

clip in bra lululemon

lululemon clip in tank

lululemon clip in short

lululemon clip in crop
Lots of stuff for spin in a second release of Clip In items. None of this excited me too much except for the bra which was too small for me.

I am interested in some of the Clip In pieces..The crop and the LS..LLA what have you purchased and liked in the Clip In line? I spin 4/5 x per week..I usually wear speeds or Inspire crops and a short sleeve swiftly or lately the turn around long sleeve as it's been freezing here in Chicagoland :)

@lulu - I ordered the Bra and the tank. The bra was too small for me but I thought it was nice. The tank was ok but I didn't love it enough to keep it.

The Clip in bra and Los top are interesting. I'm not source about the sleeve material on the ls though.
Like you LLA, I,d like to see more color in the tops. I'd be interested in the run beam too if it came in menthol or boom juice. I already have it in a grey.

Well I'll be! The clip in long sleeve is exactly like the spin city long sleeve from 2012! Gasp! I have been searching for that shirt on ebay high and low! Haha but I wasn't willing to pay 60$ plus shipping for a used shirt!! Alberta Lake is nice! I just hope it comes in some nice contrast COLORS like it did with the grey and creamsicle! This will be my first purchase in a while! Except for the black cherry high times!

Exactly what you said - I won't be buying any of this in these boring pastels and neutrals. I would have been all over that Yin to You sweater, but what's with those cutouts? Hello - winter -- cold - sweaters - don't want cold air rushing in the sides. And AMEN to bringing back the Groovy Run shorts. I'm still mourning their loss! Will wait to hear reviews on waistband issues on the Tracker IIIs.

So this isn't relevant to the post, but I have a question maybe someone here can answer, and I can't think where else to ask it. Can anyone tell me if the quality of stuff at the lulu outlets is the same as what's in their regular stores? I know a lot of companies (J. Crew, Gap, Coach, etc) make products specifically for the outlets that aren't as good as their regular stuff and I'm wondering if lulu also does this. I'm newly addicted and I live about 2.5 hours from the big outlet in Orlando, and I'm wondering if it's worth making the trip.

Love the sweater and love the side cutouts. Super cute. I'll be getting it in Alberta lake for sure.

I am loving the colours Lulu has been putting out - dark cherry, Alberta lake, dark wren, deep camo, black grape, fuel green, bumbleberry, nightfall. It's been a good winter/holiday season for me.

@anon 7.45am - I LOVE my spin city long sleeve in creamsicle and grey with my only gripe being that i felt the armpit mesh was not really covering my armpit- but that seems to be the case with a few lulu tops on me. I hope the clip in LS is similar and exactly what you want !!! Yay for cycle gear!

I bought the clip in crops and clip in shorts a little while ago. They are one of my favorite shorts and crops. Love them both! Felt they did not get enough exposure or they would have blown out. Worth a try if you are on the fence!

@anon 1:52 oooooooh thanks!!! I will now definitely buy if! I do agree about the armpit thing! Now I just have to patiently wait until the upload as my local store had none of these items! Which is strange because they usually get it before the upload! Oh well something to look forward too! And yes yay for cycle items! Wish they would bring back that whole spin capsule! It was fabulous!

I'm not into any of these items except maybe the Clip In crop as they are knee length. But honestly, I haven't bought a running crop from LLL in 2 years and I'm a hardcore runner. Still using my ones that date back from before then. Any crop I have tried recently (well, in a 2 year span) has just not grabbed me or they are sheer (size 4). Or the online reviews speak to lack of quality, loose threads, ripping seams, or holes out of nowhere, so it's just so easy for me to pass and be glad I have enough from when quality was good.

Oneness tank, nice idea but it's just not practical in my yoga life, the loose tank and all is impractical for so many poses. I can't stand material in the way. Plus what is with the seam down the front? It just ruins it.

Hmmm was the older sweater Yin to You or Yin to Me???

Anon 10:32 I live in orlando and the outlet in nothing special. I think it's same quality as the LLL store, but oddball pieces. You'd be better searching ebay

@Alexis - I went to a lulu outlet once and it was all stuff that was from the stores. Like a store of WMTM. The prices didn't seem to be any cheaper than WMTM, and it was mostly not a lot to be excited about, but nothing that was made just for the outlet, and I did find a couple items I was happy to pick up. Hope this helps!

I think that thing where Jcrew and gap etc make stuff specifically for the outlets is just beyond lame.

The waistband on those trackers looks thinner in width to me.. It would be a shame to change the design when they are great the way they are, all they had to do was get rid of the crappy plastic thread, or perhaps find a better manufacturer..

Just a thought on the Tracker III statement...perhaps them stating they changed the "finish" is more about wording and sounds a lot better than "fixing" the issue. Fixing admits to a problem, something that lulu just doesn't seem to do.

The tracker iii waistband looks narrower than the ii's, more like the width of the original trackers.
Has anyone returned tracker I/ii's for the waistband problem? I have a few pairs of trackers and shake and break (?) shorts that I avoid wearing because of the pokey mesh coming through the waistband. Would be nice to trade them in for shorts I can comfortably run in! TIA

Lulu outlet in niagara falls has lots of old outdated junk. I don't think I have bought anything there yet. And the outdated stuff is like $20 off a pair of crops or $39 for shorts from 2 years ago. Stores offer better products on markdown if you are lucky enough to be there when they markdown. Sometimes they have returns that they don't have another like in stores or if they have 1 of an item left they put on markdown. And in stores you are getting stock from one month or less on markdown. That's my Two cents worth. If it's an item I have to have I suck it up and pay full price. It's not worth waiting for the sake of $12 or $20.

the clip in bra is great for yoga and anything that requires bending or folding over. Great coverage on that top. It is not for high impact activities. I seriously don't like having any cleavage issues and this bra takes care of those problems.
