Tracker IIs are a Sea Wheeze Shorts Option This Year

I forgot to post this earlier. For those of you who never made it to the Check Out Screen the shorts choices are the Tracker IIs, which a lot of people really like and fit similar to Track Attacks, and Speed Shorts.

I put this in the comments on the other post but my husband speculates that perhaps lululemon had some sort of denial of service attack today to cause such a prolonged outage on the registration site. It's not out of the realm of possibility, given lululemon's high profile in the press this year. The fact that lululemon is saying they will update the status of registration rather than re-open it at noon tomorrow supports this theory, too.

What Will Take Longer, Running the Sea Wheeze Half or Registering For It? (Answer: Registering!!! The Fun Continues Tomorrow)

I've been trying for an hour and a half to register for the race but no joy yet. It didn't help that my DSL cut out at the check out screen. Anyone have success yet?

Update - The Whyte Avenue Store just posted this:

Due to an overwhelming response of excitment for the seawheeze registration, they are accepting no registration at the moment and the race is not sold out. They are working really hard to get it back up and running! Stay close to social media (twitter & facebook) to get the updates! Happy running!

2nd Update - 

The Sea Wheeze Facebook page finally posted an update:

Due to the incredible number of people who jumped on to register, we’re experiencing technical difficulties. As of now, the majority of spaces are still available. We’re working hard to resolve this and will have an update here at 3:00pm PST today.

Well, kids, we broke it good - congrats to us all! 

I am excited to sign up for this race so I hope they get everything set up properly for things to go smoothly tomorrow. Maybe they are going to add lots more spots. ;-)
