I was checking out the Hug It Out Jacket at the store yesterday and ended up getting a Be Present Jacket. Love the collar of Hug It Out Jacket but with the dropped shoulders, there is just too much fabric across the chest. Since I'm tiny at 5'3", 100 lbs, even the size 2 is too big for me and it tends to bulge out across the chest. The length is okay and the fit across the hips is good though.
The Be Present Jacket, on the other hand, comes with a smaller fit. I got a size 4 and it fits like a glove, though the sleeves are a little bit too long. Lovely neckline and really flattering on someone who's small-chested. One might need to size up on this jacket.
so I've been hearing that the high times are a size down? Super bummed because my size down is now out of stock!
OT - can you ladies give me some advice please? I'm looking for a plain black full length tight to wear for casual wear with long tops and sweaters. I would love the WUP full on luon brushed but the reviews on the LLL website are terrible. Or I would settle for the plain full on luon ones. I see people are liking the high times pant but I don't want to have exposed skin so I have the option to not wear them with high boots if need be.
Any advice would be great!
Thanks!
Blah.
Yes, I saw the textured stripe flow y bras in my store yesterday (Roseville, CA).
@ anon 5:18 am - yes, lots of people have sized down in the High times. They fit very loosely.
@ anon 3:59 am - Boo on those stupid dropped shoulders. What a horrible trend.
I'd totally recommend the roll down wunder under in black luxtreme. I love them for wearing with fuzzy sweaters. the fabric doesn't pick up fuzz like luon does.
not high times in general. just the stripe texture ones. the herringbone are borderline size up.
the brushed aren't that much thicker than other luon tights. and I thought they felt pretty rough anyway on outside surface.
The white trims ruined the beautiful white herringbone jacket IMO. Would love to have a white herringbone define without the contrast piping and metal zipper. I did not get the white herringbone forme when it came out last spring because of the white zipper. With define, I have the additional piping color to worry about - a true first world problem.
Also as someone who loves neutrals and textured materials, I am sick of the latest white, grey, and black. Lulu, it is time to give us some saturated colors, such as true red and hunter green. It would be even better if you can give us colored, thick, and compressive textured materials. Not too much to ask, right?
Anon @ 3:59 - I fully agree, I sized up 1 size on the Be Present jacket. It was then a bit longer and not as restrictive. I am an A-cup, and felt that I was the body style this jacket was meant for, as I can't imagine much larger chests having this fit comfortably.
Yawn. Bored of all of this. But did snag a Flurry Fighter on sale today for $69!!!
Where have you been anon @3:58?! Lulu HAS been giving us saturated colors AND textures!! Bumbleberry, Flaming tomato, berry yum yum, black grape, majestic blue, fuel green, forest green, Bordeaux drama, cadet blue, inkwell etc!! And all the herringbone, pique, coco pique, diamond jacquard space dyes...good grief. And Lulu is notorious for doing black/whites in December.
Topping the list of phrases that should be banned.... "Where have you been?" Serves no purpose other than to belittle and demean.
OT but I tried on the dottie rose pattern in the Wild Tank today and was surprised at how much I loved it (because the FTBW bra doesn't work for my busty self). I took it home with me and am thinking of getting another but want to try a few workouts in it first.
I wasn't the one who left the comment, but I think it was said more out of protecting lulu than out of trying to belittle.
I do want more colors though as I only like certain products and would consider certain pricing. Since not all the products coming in all the colors, I only partially satisfied myself with deep greens and reds that I crave. As for the black and grey - every single product comes in it as well as in some other color....
It's tiring hearing the same complaints. Lulu can't seem to do right by anyone. People want jewel tones, they give it to us and then people are saying where are the pastels or neons. People want prints then complain it looks like grandma's curtains or too duck dynasty. For the longest time I've heard people complain about Lulu rarely producing greens or browns and here they are yet now there are complaints it's too drab. If you like what they have to offer, great, buy it. If not, don't. I'm sure Lulu will eventually come out with a product you will like and if they don't, look elsewhere. They aren't the only game in town. But stop complaining they don't have what you want right this minute.
Be Present Jacket, the white waistband is really annoying and is a design miss.
I'm not overly interested in most items and there's nothing I have to have a full price. I'll wait for Boxing Day or thereafter for stuff to go to markdown.
@Alejandra - a flurry fighter pull over? On sale already? Wow. I need to get to my store to check out their sale rack.
