New Everything She Wants Vest. I swear I thought this was a jacket liner at first. Is this really meant to be worn on its own? Just awful.

Totally not doing it for me either. When I first saw the fleece side, I thought the same thing - is this a liner?! Maybe when it goes on md ;)

Your commentary is awesome. Thinking the same thing.

they can't come up with something better than this? So unbelievably frustrating, when are things going to improve, once and for all? My vintage stuff is wearing out! sigh...

I think it's meant to be like the Wilfred Chatou Vest from Aritzia http://aritzia.com/en/product/chatou-vest/49309.html

The designers right now have zero fashion sense. They are pumping out one ugly piece after another.

Hahaha. Love your post. Totally agree! What's going on with LLL lately??

What the hell is right!! LLL just give the people what they want not this cheap looking crap! Seriously I thought LLL was more of a luxury brand for yoga! Lately this doesn't seem to be their mandate! Sorry for the rant.

OT, I realised there are very few photos of eds wearing the purple fog crb. Is it very close to the purple fog WUC in tone? I still can't tell if it's a warm/cool or netural color. Would appreciate it greatly if anyone could provide feedback on the fabric I.e. Nylon/spandex mix only and if it's nicely thick and soft? TIA

No offence, but when I saw those pictures, she almost made me think she is happy because she just got a FREE vest from her grandma! Lol. ;)

Lol I love the title of the post.

More of that PNW cozy style that just doesn't appeal to the rest of us. I wouldn't buy this even if it WAS avail at WM.

@ anon 5:21 pm - You are right. It looks like shlumpy fugly vests are on trend.

lol the title of the post is spot on. Countdown until this garbage is marked down to $19 at a warehouse sale...and even then people will only buy it as a joke.

this vest is on trend and i think it's cool. it's a hipster / unisex look. but it's certainly not for the average lulu customer who wants a pink and purple bra. lulu needs to push the customer forward fashion wise - can't let you all get stuck in the 2000s, and i think that's what they are doing here. so it's ok by me.

LLA...Do you seriously screen comments that mention other brands?

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 2:09 pm - What do you mean? That I allowed the Aritzia comment in or I went to take a look at that vest? I approve comments that mention of other brands unless it's an obvious shill post for some monthly box service brand or something similar.

I googled the Aritzia vest ($225!), thanks for mentioning it.The similarity is indeed striking, although that Wilfred Whatever vest has a touch more panache. Why Lululemon would create their own version, it beats me. They should really work on their athletic line, this is what they do best.

@ anon 10:20 am - I don't understand why lululemon wants to get in the casual clothing business so badly. There are a ton of other companies that do fashionable casual so much better. There is nothing that makes this vest unique - color, texture, materials, cut, silhouette, or interesting details such as zipper choice or a funky pocket placement - it's boring, badly done, unflattering, and worst of all, cheap looking. Plain can be well done but you have to have a great cut, colors, materials/textures. It seriously has all the appeal of a jacket liner.

LLA - i haven't seen the vest in person. i am imagining it to be kind of like a barbour vest, which yes can be a liner too. really preppy. anyway...i think it's ok they are branching into more casual clothing too...you like the dresses don't you?
right now girls are throwing north face or barbour over their lulu - why not have head to toe lulu?
