From a Canadian lululemon store - a new color in the Cocoon Car Coat - Bumble/Rust Berry. Where is my Bumble Berry Forme Jacket?

I really love the Sashico inset on these Pace Tights. Shown with an Almost Pear Swiftly tank. Really crossing my fingers for regular swiftlys in this color.

I tried on the sashico pace tight, but it didn't flatter me at all. I think, in general, the material of the run tights are usually not the most flattering if you have some meat on your legs. I also tried the straight to class pants in conductor stripe (I also saw them in plain black) and loved them enough to purchase, even at the $118 price point. Although these are meant to be on the looser side, as opposed to regular tights, I had to size down to a 6 because my normal size 8 was very loose at the waist band and it was too baggy near the crotch and under the butt. I also tried two sizes down and it fit like normal tights, without looking too small.

I think it's safe to say my Lulu addiction is over. I have not been into anything for the past few months. So disappointing. There are other brands that are providing what I want so they are getting my money these days. I love the pieces I have. Maybe they will figure it out and lure me back. One can only hope they get it together soon because they are getting run over by other brands. So sad because they can make a great product if they want to. I will hold out a little hope.

@ anon 11:17 am- Thanks for the fit report on the Straight to Class pants. I cannot believe they are $118. That seems nuts. Is it because they are a "print"? Were the plain black $108? That still seems high to me for 7/8 pants.

@ anon 11:27 am - If I wasn't into running and liking various print run crops, colorful Swiftlys, and run shorts I don't know how much lululemon I'd be buying these days either. Other than the Stuff Your Bra II tank and CRBs I don't think there are that many great built in bra tank tops coming out, and haven't been for months and months, particularly if you are on the bustier side. If I may ask, activity do you buy your gym clothes for? And what brand(s) are you liking these days?

got my order from last tuesday today. the inkwell coco pique are sooo thin (compared to my others in this fabric), i could see the tag clearly - i do love the little details though - if rolled down there is another little lulu logo so it still shows right side up. also, my plush petal PS skirt is lovely, but it's 2 way - it's listed under 4way stretch - i love both 2 and 4 way, but was expecting this pattern in 4way.

@luluaddict I didn't look at the price of the plain black straight to class pants, but I imagine they would be $108 (like with the om and roam pant where the shine dot is $118 and the plain black is $108). If these pants were not versatile enough to wear outside of the gym, I would not be able to justify the price. The one thing I forgot to mention about the straight to class pants is that the split hem at the bottom curls out while wearing. Nothing that (I think) can't be fixed with a few stitches to make the split hem smaller, but wanted to share in case it is a problem for others.

OT - I just got my inkwell pique roll down WUPs... I had to try them despite the offensive price. Has anyone else tried these yet? I'm curious what people think. I had ct in these and that's literally never been a problem for me in anything else I've purchased ever, so that was a surprise. Am I the only one? I'm not sure what I think of the fabric either. It's soft though thin, has rayon in it in addition to nylon and lycra. I didn't find them sheer, at least not with the nude undies I'm wearing today. Anyway I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts!

@ anon 1:02 pm - mine are supposed to arrive today so will let you know what I think.

The only thing I've bought in a long time is the Bumbleberry CRB. And I LOVE that color. I wish I had some bottoms in that color (the WUs are sold out in my size). Lulu has been "meh" for me for awhile. I'd love some crops with some deep side pockets to hold my phone and a curved water bottle. But I'm starting to get sticker shock at some of the higher prices! Obviously, they can do it because people are still buying. But I'm about to be priced out!

Interesting to hear that people aren't buying as much, because lately my lulu spending has been WAY up (back to 2011 levels). I am constantly trying other brands, but the others just don't look nor perform as well for me as Lululemon does. I do pilates and yoga. Granted there have been a couple of items that did not work for me, but overall have been very happy with lulu product this season.

Although I've never been an "addict" per se, nearly all my run/yoga clothes are lulu. So, although I'm not waiting around for upload time, I do find a gem or two a couple times a year (recent purchases include the herringbone WUP and the bumbleberry CRB). An Athleta just moved into the mall closest to my house, but every time I go in there, their tights seems so polyestery (not a word) and the prices are not that different. I do love the look and feel of the lulu pieces I own. I'm not sure what they seem to be trying for with all of their "street" clothes, but there must be a market there that they are trying to capitalize on. I wish they would spend more time making cute, quality running clothes. So I guess I just wanted to say thanks for the blog as I look forward to finding the next gem to add for my workout wardrobe, no matter how long it takes. :)

@ anon 3:11 pm - I find Athleta too polyestery, too. I am baffled by people that find it cheaper than lulu, too, but I think a lot of people are getting a 30% instructor discount. I think lululemon dropped the ball regarding run clothes for the summer collection. It seemed very sparse and I kept waiting for a cute UPF top but the only UPF ones released were the swim ones.

I don't mind that lululemon has these periods where nothing appeals to me - it gives my bank account a chance to recover.

I don't mind at all. I do yoga, Zumba and a lot of walking. I'm hoping to start running soon. I have found that Athleta and Zella are really working well for me. I also like Lucy but haven't purchased just due to color selection. I'm pretty picky about my workout clothes and these brands have really stepped up, in my opinion. I am 43 and a size 6 and a small chest. I like the prints from these brands for their ability to hide those imperfections :) I know not every brand works for everyone. The prints, compression, colors and fabric look and feel great. I am not easy on my clothes either. I wash and dry all if it and have not had a problem with snags, pilling or anything. I pretty much have the usual in my closet. Bras, tanks with and without shelf bras, shorts, crops, pants, running skirts, jackets, shirts long and short sleeve and warm weather and cold weather gear. I really do love my Lulu items and I am a shareholder so I do have a vested interest in the success of the company.

@ anon 3:42 pm - totally hear you about choosing prints to camouflage problem areas. Before I found lululemon I bought Lucy. That was back in 2006-07, though, so quite awhile ago and before they were bought by Vanity Fair. I liked a lot of it but I found a lot of the fabrics on the warm side. I tended to like the casual wear stuff more and still wear a few of the tops.

I agree with LLA, I don't mind when there's a period where I don't want anything, then I don't want to spend. Imo, for this funky (or boring) &Go stuff, create another store for the customer buying it. Then have at it with all the trends etc. and see how well you do LLL. You might actually gain or draw a whole clientele that won't set foot in a LLL store.

I think LLL is becoming too disjointed with the clothing offerings for those who really put it to to work with their fitness activities. UPF miss for running is a great example. It's not the brand it used to be. Due to the lessening of quality (sheerness of thinness of material), this is when they started to lose me. I haven't bought a running crop in 2 years. I've tried some that have come out but just wasn't happy with the quality and certainly didn't/don't need them when compared to my older, more solid items. I also haven't bought a jacket recently and I used to want every one. I used to be a Speed Short freak but I've even sold some of those or given away to friends. They did release the Hotty Hot Short in the summer and I must say I was pleased with this short. But I only bought the black version as I didn't care for the others. I was also pleased with the Easy Breath bra. The other place they still get me (usually) is CRBs but I haven't bought one of those in a while either (and Canada never got bumbleberry?) I did buy the Race Your Pace LS in the (purple) triple stripe - this one really appealed to me. The RYP half zip went back though, overall poor quality for over $100. I'm also really annoyed by the increasing prices on items: they did it to Dance Studio pants and now with certain WUs.

The LLL problem I now feel I have is that I have to "stay tuned" because they will still issue the odd great item that I do truly want (e.g. Race Your Pace LS).

Sorry, I went on there. Thanks for reading the whole comment if you did :)

@ anon 5:02 pm - Totally agree with splitting off the urban stuff to a separate website/section of the website/store/name is a good idea. However, I think they already have that store - otherwise known as The Lab.

Agree on the purple race your pace ls. I really like that one - thick and cozy and fun colors. However, I am waiting for the coco pique version to hit the US.

Do you find you petal camo inspires sheer at all?

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 8:45 am - Yes, they are on the sheer side. I started out wearing black underwear with them yesterday morning but I could see the shadow in a slight bend so switched over to nude for my workout yesterday. I took a few butt photos in outside light to check before I went to the gym and they looked ok with nude underwear. I would call them "vertical only" crops. ;-) It's a shame because I think they are gorgeous.
