| Not Black Friday bad but the scene sounded pretty unpleasant. |
No hair-pulling fights broke out but anecdotal reports from people at the Whistler store this morning made it sound pretty awful. People lined up at 2 am for the chance to buy a pair of Wanderlust pants. From what I have read, the store let everyone in at once which resulted in pushing and items being snatched out of other people's hands. People also estimated there were only about 50 pairs of the coveted pants for sale. Reading between the lines, the reports seemed to come mostly from people who made the trip there just to get some pants for themselves and friends and not to attend the festival.

I find it funny that the people at the front seem to be mostly men. I wonder if they limited the quantity you could purchase.
Oh boy. I sure hope it isn't like this at SW this year. It's been nuts the last two years, but not THAT crazy!
As an attendant of the Wanderlust festival…and about 30 people in front of me in the lineup for the wanderlust line..I can attest the the accounts:
1. Yes…doors opened early ~9:15am and everyone rushed in..
2. About the first 20 people grabbed as many as they could off the rack…leaving everyone else SOL..I managed to get a print bra…but really wanted the pants.
3. I got pushed and almost wore my coffee…
4. Many very upset customers, as well as managers of Lulu who were absolutely shocked at the nature of the people buying (one whole family was there to each buy two…WTF)
5. In the end…they are JUST pants…and the festival holds more!!
anon 3:00p--I think that is a stock photo of a crazy black Friday opening, not Wanderlust BC... I can't imagine a man going that berserk over women's yoga pants, lol. There is a pair of the pants on ebay with lots of bids and a $548 BIN price. They are really sweet pants, but that is just insane.
That's insane. As are all the people who've written on here (when they saw the images) things like "get me the pants I'll pay anything."

Whelp - just saw on ebay (out of curiosity, not personal desire of having the pants) a pair of wanderlust size 8 NWT pants for sale, with 8 hours left, already up to almost $400 US. Unbelievable.
yeah that photo does not look like the people in it are regular lulu customers. I agree that it is totally silly to go crazy over a pair of nylon pants.

Why. Why would anyone pay 500 for a pair of spandex yoga pants? As someone who owns a closet full of lulu! I still don't get it. So you can wear them to your local yoga studio and be the winner who paid 400% more than they cost in the store?!?!
