Tie Dye Swiftly Tank, Meesh Skirt, Night Tight, and More

The Tie Dye Swiftly tank has hit US stores. I'm dying to try this on.

The new Open Your Heart tank in the Great Granite print. I'm dying to try it on since it reminds me of the Gather V tank. Shown with the Meesh Skirt and Lab Night Tight.

For some reason stores are styling the new Lab Night Tights with that dud, the Peplum tank.

More Lab Night Tight Photos.

Bruised Berry Weightless Crew and Run for Fun crops

Magenta 105F and Energy bra, Pretty Palm Inspires, Great Granite Cool Racerback, Pace Setter, and Speed Shorts.

Oh my, the Mesh Tights look so trashy. I love some discreet sheer paneling, but these are trying way too hard.

LLA, the Open Your Heart tank was released last year in ultra violet and other colors. It was quickly recalled because of strap issues (too thin, I think?). I returned mine and got a refund.

One word "AWFUL"!

Lab Night Tight: wow, those are some hooker hosiery for sure! (Even if worn with sneakers or flats)

Great Granite and Tie Dye: viewing these in the bunch of photos, what is up LLL? Banal and/or ick.

@ anon 4:41 pm - good memory! I totally forgot that the tank had been out before.

I like the tie dye SS swiftly with black camo inspires and a black jacket. That's what I'm wearing right now. lol!

The mesh is sooo trashy nightclub girl... I can't believe it's from LLL. :\

Mesh tights + hooker heels = perfection! lol

Good god almighty, who the heck designed those seamed pantihosetightthings.

Whew strike a pose. Yoga by Frederic's of Hollywood? I don't understand the functionality of the mesh leggings.
I know this is inviting the "psh I think I rock these pants these girls look fab" and similar comments. Fine.
But on that first gorgeous yogi all those pants make me think is just .... Why?

Agree with all - those pants look like hooker hose with a miniskirt. What's up with looking trashy lately? LULU. PLEASE stick to your classy designs. There are plenty of trashy trendy stores what makes you unique and keep customers coming back is your classic - classy - designs and great quality. Seems like you are losing lately on both accounts.

Tie Dye Swiftly top + Pretty Palm bottoms = WTF. Seriously?

Don't get me started on the "meesh"!

Over the alley they use for shots. Find a new spot:(

Agree, Lulu trys too hard to come out something "Not Only" athletic, but also street looking. This time it's just going too much and totally ruined its brand name, :/ I would not wear that mesh tight if someone pays me $108 lol.

I think LLM is diversifying and targeting the pole dancing workout market as well, with the mesh tights.
I wouldn't want to wear them out, don't need the extra attention.

OT, but I'm lusting after the Heathered Jewelled Magenta In the Flow Crop ii's that the EU countries (Monaco!) have right now! Beautiful, sure hope they come to the USA!

@ anon 7:44 pm - I know. The alley + those tights makes me think of hookers. Lulu stores partner with local studios/gyms. They could pose people - gasp - exercising. :)

the alley adds a sketchy vibe to the hooker look.

So what form of excersise is one supposed to be doing in those tights and high heels??

So while I scrolled through these pics and laughed at everyone's funny comments, I ordered some stuff on sale at Splits59 and Athleta. I can't even remember the last time I bought something LLL. "hooker" tights, fugly mesh, dreary colors, bad design....I think the Kool-aid has left my body.

OT... I'm visiting OC, can someone tell me which lulu location should I drop by? Thanks!

I agree that the mesh "pants" are ridiculous. Even on those super fit and pretty ladies they look bad.

I am confused that the peplum top is in so many photos. Is that still in stores?? I live far from any store, only can order online. I ordered that top online and it was the upload where lots of orders were canceled and I never got the top (I got the $25 gift card). If that top is in stores then I'm annoyed.

Looks like all those ladies forgot to put their skirts on. Those tights are TIGHTS, not pants. And they don't look nice as daytime wear.

The Lab Night Tights remind me of a mullet: business in the front, party in the back! (And they are just as tacky as a mullet...)

@LLA 7:44 - ROFL - so true! The best shots of the clothes are when the girls (guys) are in the gym - LOVE the crossfit pics that have trickled in lately.

Oh, so glad I am not just being a middle-aged prude! I immediately went to "yuck!" on the mesh tights.
But on the yum side, I wanted to give a shout out to the Magenta WAFS print. I have the CRB and just love it. The green strip goes so wonderfully with my Bali Breeze DSJ. And of course it looks great with black and with grey. Having so much fun with that one!

I don't think the mesh is trashy, the design is what brothers me. I have the new mesh legging from Fabletics and they look amazing.

As a part of the pole dancing work out community - I would not wear those tights. Sorry, that much mesh in that area does not fill me with fitness confidence in the longevity of my pants (ie, IF I were to actually train on a pole with them, the back of the knees aren't going to hold out long). Plus they look trashy. Sigh. C'mon LLL, obviously you have a customer base willing to pay for quality and function - can we have that please?

Wowsa. Ugliest stuff I've seen in awhile. Hooked pants paired with hooker shoes and a mediocre tank. Where is this company headed?

Maybe Lulu is thinking, oh well, since our yoga pants are already semi-sheer, let's just go all the ways with it. Or maybe this is their revenge for the thousands of us who have complained endlessly about the sheerness of the pants and even went so far as to return them. Touche, Lululemon. Touche...

LLA did you see Britt's Picks for next week? Looks like she posted yesterday.

I'm excited the Savasana Wrap is back.

oh jeez, the meesh tights are hideous, ESPECIALLY paired for the peplum tank.

lulu has been really disappointing lately with their design...

Anonymous said...

i really love the tie-dyed Swiftly, but all of my bottoms are printed. bummer.

those mesh tights are a huge NO!

Anonymous said...

@anon 8:37pm - I do pole and no, even us "hookers" don't want the mesh tights either... so ugly and doesn't look functional. On a more serious note, we only wear leggings in warmups or if you don't invert, so targeting the pole fitness market with leggings doesn't make much sense to me. We need bras and shorts.

heather said...

how do they fit...? as in, what size lulu are you and what size fabletics tights did you get. been wanting to order some.

I tried on the new mojave vertical stripe skinny grooves today. I thought they were a cool, quirky look. But unfortunately when I tried them one, major camel toe or at least the illusion of major camel toe. I think something about the vertical strips and what happens when the fabric bends into the V of your crotch, it is particularly noticeable.

The tights are so ridiculous. They don't look like Lululemon at all, and I do not find that to be a good thing.
And I was just in a store, (to return the icky Noir shorts), and an employee peppily told me that the tights are 'business in the front, and party in the back,' and wouldn't I love to try them on?? Um, no, actually... I truly would not.

I say this fully realizing that LLL does NOT practice what it preaches. This type of clothing and where the educators are posing in this stuff does not surprise me anymore.

It is completely hilarious to me that a company that takes its inspiration from YOGA, which is all about thoughtfulness, behaves so thoughtlessly. Wth with the hooker hose and then, lol, posing in the sketchy alley way (which is even unappealing when they pose there with nice clothes on).

My goodness, Laurent, knock some sense into the designers and the eds!

Hey, those pants are sheer! Lol
