The crops people were asking about with the mesh back in the stride jacket shot are the breath easy crops on the nz site. I tried them on today. Very nice:)
I have never seen a store get as much flack as lululemon. It's so odd, like the media has it out for them. I know stores that have way worse policies and do way worse things. I mean the sunscreen thing? Really?
I'm sorry but those high waisted pants look horrible on all those poor souls..... unless your 5'11 and model thin these should be a pass for all!!!!! they make you all look thick waisted and dumpy!!!! Ha ha ha bet lululemon corporate are laughing at all you w/ no taste!! all the way to the bank too!!!! Shame on all who wear this garbage.... my opinion and YES ITS STRONG!!!! Get so tired of people saying that so i said it first!
Getting uninterested with my favorite brand.... Lulu used to be the guilty splurge for functional items that made me feel like the coolest girl in class. Everything athletically functional with those little feminie deatils that set it apart. These Sears/Kmart work blouse - like patterns and exhausted trends are making me think the era is over. And I'm sad.
@Melissa - I know. The media has the knives out for lulu so any excuse to ravage them. I could give a rats ass about that the stupid bags say, just bring back the pretty workout wear we all got hooked on.
Someone was asking somewhere here for a comparison between the refresher and noir dress. I own the refresher (it sold out in about half an hour at my local store) and went today to try the noir. I thought hey, in the cadet, if it is as nice as the refresher... So the biggest difference for me is the fabric of course. full luon vs light - the refresher kind of 'sucks' you in, but also isn't overly tight through the waist (I am a long hour glass shape for info), and it feels really secure, and almost compressing, which I like. I personally love the refresher. The noir is, in my opinion, less forgiving - just as figure hugging, but with a thinner and less supportive fabric, it doesn't move anything. If you jiggle, it jiggles. Now, the upside - if you have a shape that you are happy to flaunt, this dress will do just that for you. On days where perhaps you are feeling a little more bloated say, it will show that too. I tried it both front ways and backwards, and have to say I love this aspect of the dress - I also own the reversible racer-backs and it is a slightly less extreme to these. At first I thought the stripe down the side would make the dress look more casual than the refresher (which is very easy to dress up or down) but actually it gives a really nice accentuation to curves and is quite elegant once on. I didn't end up buying it - it wasn't better for me than the refresher, and also not quite different enough - and it is more expensive - but I may go back and re-consider, and would definitely pick it up on WMTM (not that I think it will go there).
On that topic, I just bought my first-ever Ebay lulu purchase (being sold at less than list, or I wouldn't have done it). This item was only from about 2012 or so, so not even all that old. I had forgotten what it looked like to see a lulu piece with gorgeous styling, cute details, and beautiful colors. When it showed up, I just kind of gasped at it. I was, like... oh yeah. THIS is what it was. It made me extremely determined to not spend one more penny on lulu until I see something else that makes me give that little delighted intake of breath.... "oooh!"
I don't know why people are harping on Lulu about their bags NOW. That saying has been on their bags forever. Is there nothing else for the media to complain about other than a saying on a bag?!
Anon at 2:52 PM - Thank you so much for the fit review of the Noir dress. I too own the Refresher dress and love all aspects you listed, though add the $20 price break to everything you mentioned;).
I'm obsessed with the Refresher dress, but will pass on the Noir dress. Definitely do not want/need jiggle at $20 more.
I don't know what's up with media and the LLL bags. I'm so "whatever - who cares" about it I'm not even going to Google it. Media will always aim to rile you up. It's irrelevant so don't buy into it or feed the media with your reaction.
As for yoga bags...that Drishti Yoga Tote Tide Up Mojave Tan totally looks like the pattern of those plastic bags you can buy at a dollar store, and there is a black version!
And agreed, the Noir pants look awful even on these lovely ladies.
I love Ebay for scoring "vintage" lulu pieces. I'll list my favorites:
Love the rulu pullovers from 2010-2012 including the Run for It PO in Paris Pink and Currant(!!), Full Tilt PO, LS, and SS in herringbone, black swan, and heathered black, Ambition pullover in Snorkel Blue, and the Run Dash Long Sleeve with amazing ruffle detail on the back (the rulu is SO soft on this l/s!!).
The best and cutest skirt style in lulu history is definitely the Run Resolution in Rad Plaid and (I believe) Persimmon. So HTF, but so worth it when you do!
My Run Inspire crops and pants from 2010-2011 are still in amazing, like-new condition. The luxtreme is thick, compressive and buttery. My favorite luxtreme run crop though is the Run: Stay on Course Crop from 2011. The bottom ruffle, zipper, and mesh detail is so flattering and cute. The midrise and thick luxtreme is unlike anything I've seen in the last 2-3 years.
I'm with Anon @8:13am with the plaid pattern. I'd like to see it in a head band and swiftly tee too! On the Noir Collection - I tried all the items on in store today. I got the shorts just because I wanted a casual short like this that could be dressed up or down. The bra for me was great (C-cup) BUT I really wanted the white and the cup pad liners were totally visible through the fabric - not cool. Otherwise I would have picked it up. The pants fit TTS and similar to the Still pant - just a different fabric. I liked the feel of them, but did not see myself wearing them on a regular enough basis to justify the price. The dress also fit a snug TTS and was quite flattering. I'd have to see what underwear will not be visible under it though - you do see lines. I suppose with a thong it would be fine.
Yeah I seriously am losing interest in lulu. The last stuff I got was the bali breeze and lullaby CRBs and energy bras which I consider to be lulu staples and lulu still does pretty well. I hate all of this super "fashionable" stuff. It's not what I want from lulu - I can go to H&M if I want this kind of stuff.

Are they in stores in North America?

If anyone is taking medical advice from an activewear store they need to have their head examined. I didn't know anyone took those bags seriously.

Holy crap those noir pants are unflattering... They add major junk to the hip/saddlebag area.. It's a shame really...
