Today's Shopping Trip and More

My "haul" - Flowabunga print Inspires and headband plus a Heathered White Mudra tank.

True to life color of the black/angel wing Flowabunga Inspire crops

Last week was crazy busy for me with the end of the school year so I wasn't able to make it to the store. I finally got a chance today and ended up getting Inspire Crops and a Bangbuster in the black/angel wing Flowabunga print. I also got a Heathered White Mudra Tank. The Flowabunga print has a sepia look to it since the contrast color is angel wing, an ivory, instead of stark white. It's a funky effect that makes the print look otherworldly in person. The material is silky soft and opaque and the print provides great camouflage for thigh imperfections.

Not too many stores have posted photos of these Inspires, which is a shame since they are pretty wild in person.

Mudra Tank and Forest Street to Studio Pant

I was also super curious to try on the new Mudra tank since I had heard good things about it. The material is really nice - soft, thick, and opaque. The tank is nice long and has a figure flattering cut. I took my CRB size but I also tried the size down since it does fit on the loose side. I would love it if this material was used in a long sleeve top.

I tried on the Embrace crops in the black/Curious Jungle and really liked them. I don't need another pair of luon crops but if you are in the market, check them out. The fit is similar to Wunder Under crops but with a nice wide waistband and I think, more comfortable.

I tried on the Flowabunga multi Wunder Under crops. They are silky soft but "fade" a bit when stretched since the back of the print is white. The print made me feel like I was wearing pajama bottoms.

I tried on the Rolling with My Omies pant in the Burlap print. I thought they fit a roomy TTs and were comfortable. They're not the prettiest pant but if I got a good markdown on them I'd get them for kicking around the house.

I tried on the Get It On Dress and liked it more than I thought. This wouldn't be a bad dress at all except for the giant slit down the back. In the right position people could peek in and see everything. The slit reduces this dress to just a swimsuit coverup.

I also tried on the Get It On Blouse and was surprised how heavy it was for a UPF top. I didn't care for how short the sleeves were. I thought the fit was TTS. If I could get this on a smoking markdown I could probably find a use for it. ;-)

I also tried on the new Swiftly tops in Neon Pink, Heathered Bruised Berry, and the new Heathered Gray Scoop Neck SS and LS tops. I didn't care for either the Neon Pink (too bright) or Bruised Berry (have that swiftly color already) but was really tempted by the heathered gray scoop neck SS and LS Swiftlys. I already have the color in the tank. If I had a money tree I would have bought the LS since it's so pretty and soft.

Is that a sweat stain on the crotch of woman doing amazing vertical split? I hope I am wrong - those crops look amazing otherwise.

wmtm is up with a lot of goodies! I bought a water bound singlet in aquamarine and a CRB in angle blue.

I ordered and received the & Go dress. The slit was way longer than I was comfortable with and really gaped when I moved. Loved the fit/cut of the dress as well as the material, but didn't want to be so exposed down the back (for reference, the slit basically stopped where my underwear started. Would have loved it if the slit was about 3 inches at upper back , enough to still make it interesting but not so revealing. Returned.

Thanks for the review and photos.

I would love it if LLL made the Quick Step pant in forest. I wish they would bring that pant back.

US wmtm so lucky. Did Canada wmtm get them and sold out asap no surprise? 2 great CRBs available, angel blue & stroll stripe heathered cashew white/white. I bought the latter at full price and it is one of the softest CRBs ever. Very fresh for summer.

@ anon 4 am - same for me and I'm 5'5". I didn't expect the slit to be that long, either, based on the photos I had seen.

I just ordered the angel blue crb, too! @anon 7:06 is making me second guess my angel blue choice... I hope it's nice. I missed out on the pipe blue last week :(

I think my fiance would kill me, but i love the rollin with my omies pant. They look so comfortable! At $98 that is bit crazyyy. Hopefully they will be marked down next week.

I wonder if lulu would sew the slit up half way, then that dress would be pretty interesting.

That brave girl was practicing yoga at downstairs of her apartment? That's interesting.

I got the arise bra (size 4) and just a heads up that the gaps so that you can insert the cups into the pockets are tiny (ie 1 cm wide) and I could not actually get the cups through. They were tiny on the arise bra I bought a few years ago but you could still get the cups in and out easily.

I bought the street to studio pant in cadet (now Im thinking I may return for forest...cant decide which colour I like more). Did anyone find that these became baggy or larger after wearing them?

LLA - how did you find the fit of the flowabunga inspires? TTS? I am finding the full on luxtreme tighter and shorter in the inspires. I would love this pattern!

I've been thinking about buying a pair of the studio crops or full lengths for awhile now but so many of the reviews complain about the folding waistband. Have any of you had this issue?

@ anon 11:53 am - I thought they fit a bit stretchier than other fullux prints but definitely more compressive than regular or power luxtreme. I tried the next size up (12) in the burlap print right after and they seemed to fit the same as the 10s I had on in the flowabunga. If you have or tried on the Secret Garden Inspires, I think the Flowabunga is similar to those - one of the more stretchy prints.

@ anon 11:53 am - I thought it was a cat, too, lol.

Is it just me or are the tanks getting a little too "creative?"
I miss the cardio kick tank from last summer(?) and can't seem to find one that fits like it.

@lla - I bought the flowabunga inspires too but have been on the fence about removing tags and running in them because the material feels so thick to me -- almost scuba like. Do you think they will be comfortable/breathable for a serious run? not too hot?

Yes, I sized down from a 4 to a 2:) hope that helps

Re: Inspires... I agree with the "scuba" feel on the inspires. I wanted to love them but I just don't. I sure hope they don't discontinue the regular inspire II.

LLA: thanks for all your work!

Is the Get It On UPF shirt sheer at all? Would you have to wear a nude/white bra underneath or is it thick enough that you couldn't see a colored bra?

@ The Facetious Librarian
I have close to 10 pairs of the studio crops and one pants. I wear them all the time. I do not have a problem with the waistband. I have some older shorts with the same waistband and one of those (for some reason) folded down and is unwearable. It may have been defective elastic. I also have three pairs of street to studio crops. I love the fit of these -- more than the dance studios -- but the waistband is thinner and does tend to fold. It doesn't bother me because I can fix it and to lay flat. I guess it may depend on how they fit around the waist. I would suggest trying both on and seeing what feels more comfortable. My favorite are the yoga camp crops -- great waist band and nice fit but I haven't seen them in a while.

Regarding stretch, I find that the studio crops and pants stretch a bit so you can size down but the street to studios don't stretch as much. Hope this helps!

@ anon 2:49 pm - I have the secret garden inspires which are made of the full on luxtreme and have run in them in hotter weather a few times. They were surprisingly breathable for how thick they feel. I think you will be very surprised. I was cooler than I have felt in my Parallel Stripe Runday crops, which I find the hottest of all my run crops. I think they are on par with regular luxtreme bottoms.
