Special Edition Bow Scuba Try On Photos

Velvet on the lulu symbol on the chest

Ribbon and bow on hood

Inside label - "winter 2013"

Bow on one pocket
I finally got to see the Bow SE Scuba today. I wasn't particularly interested in it for the bow aspects but more for the Beautiful Baroque print. I really toyed with getting this today but I felt the print wasn't stand out enough, it's a little too muted in the black and gray and I like my prints a bit more stand out like Laceoflage, Black Snowy Owl, and Alberta Lake Rose Herringbone. Though, if the price gets knocked down a little I might consider it. I took some photos of the details because the ones on the website are way too dark to tell anything.

LLA,

was the zipper metallic or plastic? Metallic zippers are a deal breaker for me.

@ anon 11:02 pm - I think it's the fatter toothed black plastic. It was black. I think it's the same zipper that was used on the Midnight Iris scuba, which I think is plastic, or maybe painted metal? I felt it but couldn't be sure which kind it was. It was not sharp, though.

@luluaddict what store was this at? I called around LA/OC and couldn't find one! Would love to order but I'm always between a 6/8 (6 for fit 8 for length) but they're do inconsistent that I often try on 3 or 4 and pick the best one! Lol thank you!

French

hiver is winter as in hibernation. I think the french use it, I might need to be corrected by someone who is more adept in the french language.

Hiver is French for winter.

The bow scuba is very pretty in person. Subtle velvety ribbon with tiny bow on one pocket on and on hood. The velvet ribbon goes down the back sides also. I tried it on and I felt it was TTS but I am waiting on the lace one. The print is also subtle.

@12:05a I tried on this scuba SE and the print is really beautiful. Its a size up item for sure. I'm a short waisted 5'4" yogini with a slight muffin top and lean arms,36B, narrow shoulders, Lulu size 8 in tops and bottoms. I could barely zip the scuba up in my size 8. The zipper was sticking at the waist and then once I yanked it over my waist, it got stuck getting over my boobs. I was wearing a Power Y tank, no bra cups underneath. When I tried on the size 10, it zipped easily and looked great! The scuba draped over my boobs and hips, and hugged the waist nicely. BTW, I tried on this hoodie and ruffle hoodie at Santana Row, Santa Clara, CA. They usually get all the new stuff out on the floor by Tuesday at lunch.

some of the high fashion european designers put that in their clothing. (ie Lanvin) Lets you know which collection it is from. I think it is a nice touch for a specialty item.
Also, the gw looks like it is inspired by Rick Owens, actually quite a few lulu jackets/wraps (over the years)appear to have been inspired by him.
