I really like the white Runaway Hoodie, but I feel like I'd get it dirty. The soot one is cute though! I wonder how these fit in person and if they are worth the price tag… can anyone comment?
@ Lauren - I've read they are either a size up item or a TTS item. They are not as roomy as either the Don't Hurry Be Happy nor the Post Chaturanga Pullover.
Not related to this post, but have you heard anything about any more colors of the ebb to street pants being released? I'm obsessed with them and need more.
Can anyone comment on how the base runner fits compared to the Runder Under long sleeve from last year? Or even a swiftly long sleeve? I wear a 4 in most lulu long sleeve tops, but a 6 in the swiftly ls so I don't know what to order.
Ehh…$108.00 on this is a little steep. I have similar items from trekking brands so I think I'll skip this. I would like to see some more tanks though. I know it's winter, but all the more reason to keep up with indoor sport clothing. I can tell anyone interested in the Aria II tank that you may have fit issues if you're not a little more on the broad shouldered side. Tried it on in store and I'm just not broad enough for the back of the top. It was almost as though the straps were set apart too far and then I had some gaping in the back (and I tried on the 2). I usually wear either a 2 or 4 in tanks (don't like my boobs on display).
Thanks, LLA! I don't own the DHBH nor the PC pullover, but I have been anxiously waiting for the DHBH pullover since everyone on your blog posts so positively about it. I hope it makes a comeback so I can check it out! I am relatively new to the lulu world (February of this year). Thanks to you and your blog, I am highly addicted!
Anon@7:22, I wear a 4 in most Lulu tops, but 6 in Swiftly and all tops with built in bras, and I bought a striped inkwell/surge Baserunner in size 6. (The pique ones ran even smaller than the striped ones). It's so cute, I'm wearing it more for casual wear than to run in (although, today, I wore it to work, then ran in it after work--heh!)
Anon@7:22, I have the base runner in inkwell/surge and a couple of Runder Under LS's from last year, both in pique size 6. I bought the Base Runner in a 10 and it fits about the same as one of them and a bit looser than the other. I wanted it for casual wear so that was ideal. I tried on the Base Runner in Raspberry pique in an 8 (my usual size) and it was not comfortable at all in the shoulders and armpits but fit everywhere else. I have big shoulders/upper arms which is usually my limitation in top fit. But overall I'd say the Runder Under was a size down (probably depending on your middle, which isn't an issue for me) and the Base Runner is a size up item depending on your arms/shoulders.
Anon8:33 is correct about the fit of base runner v. runder under. For last year's runder under I was a 8, but took a 6 in the pique. For the base runner, the 8 fits everywhere except the shoulders because of the decorative seams - they weren't stretchable so it felt very restrictive. I have to size up to a 10 to get a comfortable fit in the shoulders/arms/armpits but the body was too big. I was able to get my regular size 8 with the base runner pullover (even a 6 fit).
@anon7:22 In my opinion, the base runner half zip was a size-up item, whereas the base runner hoodie was more true to size! Not sure which one you're wondering about, but im thinking the hoodie since it was just uploaded
base runner half zip in the surge color fit me fine in the 4 size I am 34DD 117ish # 5'-3" I also have broad shoulders for someone my height. If you want to layer it maybe go up a size. I had my green star runner top under the base runner on Saturday and went for a run on a cold and windy beach in LI and it kept me warm and not feeling sticky and clammy. Love it, want to get the gray heathered one. I haven't taken this top off. was great today walking in the snow. so cozy.
