Print: Beautiful Baroque, New Color: Raspberry

I must have lightened this photo by accident but it gives a good look at the print

Sharp-eyed readers noticed the new colors in Astro shorts that made it to the We Made Too Much Section - Surge/Inkwell/Beautiful Baroque. I've seen a swatch of Beautiful Baroque and I think this must be a very blow up version of the print because it almost looks like camouflage in this photo.

Another new color in the Astros was Raspberry with Macro/Micro Stripe Raspberry. This looks a lot like the Raspberry that was out a few years ago:

LLA, do you think that there will be a couple of pairs of tech fleece tights/pants coming out in the next month or so? I know that there were two pairs last year: Bold in the Cold pants and a pair of tights. They were both out before Christmas. Was just curious if you've heard any rumors? I'm getting cold running. :)

Any fit reviews of the astro shorts? I love the waistband but not so sure about the rest of the shorts. How is the fabric?

I too am wondering about the astro's. They are just about gone. I have a 6 in the knock out short. one is smaller than the other and with the larger I can cinch the drawstring. The online chat said the just revised their sizing chart about three months ago. I am curious if it went up or down but she couldn't tell me. A few reviewers said size down but most went tts, so that is what I did. Hard to tell...

@ Anon 12:42pm - I was wondering the same thing. I have muscular thighs and a booty, so a fit review is a must before I buy any shorts final sale!

I find the waistband comfortable (same as on the astro pants) but the short part seems to flare out a little, I would prefer if they were more fitted at the hems. They have a cute mesh panel down the sides which is good for work outs, but I am too modest to wear them out I will only use them for lounging in the house or the beach during summer time.
I find them TTS. I also have the CT issue that I have with Astro pants but I think that might just be me.
I'm wondering if there is somethign wrong with them why the bright blue ones also went straight to WMTM.

I ordered the surge/inkwell in my TTS this morning. The colors were pretty and I figured for $24 it was worth the risk.

I love the color surge. Is it an old color? Is it possible that I have a pair of Speed Shorts from a few years back that are surge?

Surge is sooo gorgeous!!!
Athleta has a new yoga tight out now with a black/grey pattern very similar to what we are seeing with Lulu, might be worth a look.

I bought the angel wing/soot light astros on Thursday when they were first added to WMTM. I have never tried them on but am a 4 in 99% of lulu bottoms so went with that.

I figured the same as anon 4:38 that they are only $24 so worth trying. I'm sure I could find them in a store near me but they were sold out by later that day so I'm glad I took the plunge. I figure they will be mostly for home/lounging since they don't have a liner. I just joined crossfit and it is too risky wearing shorts without a liner cause you never know what you'll be doing really.

Yes -surge is an old color. There may still be long and short sleeve swiftly's on the canadian website in surge.

The print portion on the astro waistband looks like Ikat....

I like the Astro waistband in surge/baroque etc., it's tasteful and classic. Maybe there is nothing wrong with them since all Astro shorts seem to be in wmtm. I know it's not true fall or winter everywhere in NA, but maybe LLL is just following the fact that in many place it is. They know people will buy the shorts at a deep discount and they need to move them to make way for more fall/winter gear?

I sized down in the astros. I wear a 6 in grooves, a 2 in dance studio pants and got a 2 in astros. Hope this helps.
