Well shoot, the zippers on those crops aren't really functional (I was hoping they made the leg opening wide enough to take them off without removing my shoes. Now that it's wet and rainy season in Seattle, it's nice to be able to do that. I will go try them on, though.
Not loving the new floral print, but the model makes it look good. She is beautiful!
They're cute, but I'm glad I don't care for the striped CRB's, I need a break from CRB buying haha.
I picked up the Baser Runner 1/2 zip in heathered (all) black, in store today. I bought my usual size 4 and it is perfectly fitted and not too tight (and yes, I have lean muscles. Small busted), even with a CRB underneath. I did try the 6 just to see and it was WAY too loose/dumpy on me. I also tried size 4 in the heathered white, which is the one I definitely thought I would buy, but the heathered black was just more flattering (I have fair skin). I also could have bought the pink one or surge, but as soon as they came out with the neutrals, I changed my mind. As far the collar goes: I will wear this running mostly so it's going to stay up, but I love the option of the half zip to cool down and warm right back up. I wouldn't walk around casually with it wide open. That said, I will definitely wear it casually from time to time.
Also, that was quick on the Base Runner 1/2 zip on the Canadian site selling out. I think the heathered black was there this morning but it's gone now. I don't think Canada got the all black (non pique) and the heathered white is almost gone.
Wow. Are those purple crops sheer on her knee??? I hate to think how sheer the butt is. When is this company going to put out a decent pair of pants that are not sheer? (Dog runners and lined studio pants excluded)
It really bums me out that Australia got all the RFYL crops while the US only got them in a few colorways a few months ago. I like the Run for Funs OK, but they aren't the same.
Has anyone tried on the Practice Daily Pant? I am curious in reading some fit reviews and what people think. I think they are super cute, but I just haven't had the opportunity to go to my nearest store yet. Thanks in advance!
Also, does lulu have any black friday sales?! Probably a dumb question lol.
Anon 5:46 - how do you find the zipper when running in the base layer 1/2 zip? I don't see a zipper garage and that's what's stopping my order. Does the zipper flap up?
Bought the Take Me Om Pant today and really like feel and style. I am usually a ten or twelve and took home an eight. I will wear these pants when traveling for business. These are the perfect pant to wear home on a long flight. I would also use pants for yoga, walking, and weight training.
I also loved the Practce Daily Tank in Zin. It looked nice and had wonderful compression. Didn't take top home, I am pacing myself for the upcoming bi-weekly downloads.
I like the Surge/Inkwell Gingham...hope it comes in Speed Short.
Holy Cow! WMTM is up already! 65 items. Some cute stuff, but nothing I really want which is good. I've been on a Lulu/Ivivva tear lately!
My deep zin/winter orchid speed shorts came today, and they are adorable! They have the reflective striping like the raspberry ones. Now I'll have to buy a top (or 2 or 3) to go with it... I am digging this new color palate!
@6:23 i ordered the practice daily pant this morning. they didn't have them at my store. i haven't heard anything about them so i think stores havent gotten them yet. i will post when i receive them. i'm really hoping they are nice, they look so good on the model but she is teeny tiny. im not so sure about the ruching but we shall see :)
Canada got the inkwell/surge plaid Groovy shorts this week. I'm really hoping that we don't get them next week in a speed short. I told myself I wasn't going to buy any more shorts this year, and I've already gotten 2 more pairs the last 2 uploads (BB inkwell speeds and now the W.O/DZ speeds. Ack!
Would love a store report on the Sweat Once A Day bag! My biggest question is if it is as heavy empty as the Hatha Happy Hour bag is...
I'm interested in hearing some feedback on the Avenue Pullover. The green bean/inkwell stripe hit WMTM (uploaded early this week by the way)for $79. I'm considering it but in some pics it looks nice and roomy on people but then in others it seems tinier to me and not as bum covering and the arms look short. For reference I am 5'4", 115 lbs, 32B chest and generally petite all around. I'm a tts 4 but would like this to be roomy and bum covering so I can layer under it rather than on the slim side. I am pretty sure the stores near me sold out in this already so I doubt I'll be able to try it on. Thanks!
And yes I noticed the sheer knee on the crops above which is a bummer because I am waiting for mine to arrive!
@ Jen 6:24, I haven't had a chance to run in the Base Runner 1/2 zip. You are correct, there is no zipper garage. The zipper does go right to the top of the collar and is noticeable/you feel it. Admittedly it is a little irritating and scratchy. It's not the pull but the top of the zipper part that's on the inside and is against the skin. I don't think the pull flapping up will be an issue, it's the LLL circle logo and it's pretty light.
5:46 again, just to clarify on Baser Runner 1/2. The full zipper is not against the skin, it has the material layer/flap underneath. It's just that very top part of the zipper, with no benefit of a garage, that is against the skin and is scratchy. It's true it's a design miss.
OT - Has anyone done a color comparison between Deep Zinfandel and Black Swan? What's the main difference? Are they both super dark almost black with a touch or color? Or is the DZ more colorful?
Off topic but I noticed that the piqué neckwarmers seem to be missing from the site this morning. I ordered a surge one when they were uploaded last week but they sent me the grey one (which wasn't even on the website). I took mine back and reordered (didn't have the surge in store, either) assuming it was a fluke but I've seen at least one other comment here that the same thing happened to others. If my reorder is wrong AGAIN I'm going to be seriously annoyed.
I'm also curious about the fit and feel of the Practice Daily Crop &Pant. There are zero reviews on line and my store doesn't have yet. Do you think they fit like the Venus Crop from last fall 2012? Thanks!
I have the DZ Speed Tights and the color is a lot brighter than Black Swan, which is almost like a dark navy. DZ is dark enough that it works like a neutral. Very glad I skipped the Plum Speeds and could get these instead. I LOVE them. They stay put and keep me warm/cool during 35-45 degree mornings. Love those sturdy pockets, too.
@9:29 - Thank you! I'm curious to see what you think of them when you receive them. I think the ruching detail is cute, but I am not sure how they will feel with the Full-on Luon fabric. Let me know!

I don't have a picture to back this up, but I did a visual comparison of Deep Zin and Black Swan in DSPs. My black swan DSPs are nearly navy and very dark. The deep zin DSPs (which I have lusted over in the store and am very much hoping that my hubby has them hidden away for me for xmas) are lighter and much more toward the red/pink end of the purple spectrum. Definitely different enough for me to want both in DSPs. Unfortunately, I can't speak to the colors in other material.
That print is BEAUTIFUL! I hope they make some crops in it.
Hi LLA, thanks for the awesome blog! Do you happen to know if the surge/inkwell BB will be coming in WUC? I really, really hope so! TIA :)
@ anon 9:27 am - I don't know for sure but since the Deep Zinfandel came out in a crop I would expect these to come that way also. I just checked the Australian website to see if they had them yet since they got them first, but they only had the Deep Zin BB. I am holding out for a crop in these, too. I find the WUP hot in the Deep Zin BB print.

I have the avenue pullover in the light grey. I got it my TTS. For reference, I'm 5 4, 135, 34A, pear shaped. Typically a 6 (sometimes 4) in tops and 8 (sometimes 6) in bottoms. It definitely covers my bum while standing, not if i were bending.
I've worn it with sweats and jeans. Just T shirt underneath and a down vest over. I'm sure I could have gone down a size, but I was looking for comfort in this one! The arms are a little long on me so I fold the cuff back.
@ Jen 6:24 I ran almost 4 miles in the base runner 1/2 zip last night and did not experience any problems with the zipper. I had it zipped fully up the entire time. It's probably the most comfortable shirt I've run in, the vents on the arms are great. I stayed TTS.
I don't think the purple crops are sheer in the knee, I think it's just the way the flash is showing in this photo. Has anyone tried these on that can tell us for sure? On a side note, has anyone tried the WUP reversible in black/DZ? I just ordered online in a size 6 because the 8 was sold out. Typically I'm between a 6-8 in bottoms, 5'4" 130 pounds. I find I size up more with the luxtreme fabric but my old WUP are size 6. I have recent pairs that are size 8 because of the sheerness thing, but 8 was sold out in the reversible DZ. Wondering if anyone has tried these on? Thanks :)
Not sure if this is allowed here, but I have some size 4 items from back in the day that I am selling. Mostly tanks, one pair of pants if anyone is interested.
DZ and black swan are VERY different. Dz is much more purple. Id day it's very similar to Concord grape.
Bought a pair of black full-on luon WU crops this week. Nice to see they are made in Canada. Have they always been??
Thank you anon 5:46 and 10:21 for the feedback on the half zip!
I went to the store this a.m. and tried on some stuff. The Practice Daily pants were very nice--had 2 pockets in legs like the running tights (which was what I was going to use them for), plus a gu pocket in the waistband (not really for gu, but that's what I would have used it for). I tried the inkwell and loved them, but I knew if I put stuff in the pockets they would tend to fall down--wish there was a drawstring in those!) Tried on the reversible WU crops, and they were cute, but no pockets, no drawstring, and a touch sheer, so no go. I was very disappointed by the Run For Fun--they were so extremely sheer! I couldn't believe it! I ended up buying the Runday crops. They were ever so slightly sheer when I bent fully over and pushed my butt out (which I won't be doing when I'm running, so I got them). I thought the high waist would bother me, but it's kind of nice to have my winter belly covered up--zero muffin top! And because my legs are so stinking short (I'm only 5' tall), they are like ankle length tights on me. The zippers on the legs aren't super functional, but they are cute! I really like these pants. I would have preferred to have gotten them in inkwell, so I think I will wait to use them and see if an inkwell one comes out. They were TTS, my normal size 4. The new CRB's are cute (didn't get one though).
@ LLA, any idea if they'll come out with deep zinfandel / black reversible wunder under crops?
@12:10 thank you so much for the try on report! i ordered the practice daily pants in inkwell so now i am excited to get them :) i got my tts, hopefully they won't fall down if i put something in the pockets - but honestly i bought these more for street wear as an alternative to skinny jeans. i am so spoiled by my WUs that i hate jeans now! :p
I just received my Practice daily crops in both DZ and Black , they are very comfortable and thick. Definitely not low rise. I bought the Runday crops a week ago, and they were thin and sheer all over to me. Maybe because my ass and thighs are a little bigger than most but , in the Practice daily crops, there was only a tad bit of sheerness when I stuck my butt out and bent over. I also got the new Sweat Once a Day bag, which I AM IN LOVE WITH, I got DZ and it is so gorgeous and functional. I am a college student and will be using it for class, since I already have a Work It out duffel for yoga/gym. I also got the new Inner Calm LS ( coral pink and inkwell) which I will be returning.
I think someone asked earlier, if there was a big difference between the bleached coral and pretty pink. YES there is , the bleached coral is way pinker rather than the light blush looking pretty pink. The coral stands out way more, so its not like the raspberry but more like a bubblegum color.
I got my DZ BB WUCs in the mail today. Kind of a let down. The purple hardly stands out against the loads of black and I could practically read the text on the tag in a squat. I think I might return them since there are so many other things I want!
The model in your first set of pictures with the new black floral print is so so pretty. Almost had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't Megan Fox, even though I don't really care for Megan Fox.
Saw this tank in the store and I wasn't instantly in love with it, but now seeing pics of the tank on this pretty girl, maybe I'll have to go and try it on.
I just bought the practice daily crop, they are not see through. My TTS is a 4 and they past the squat, bend over test. Could not see the hang tag or mu butt!!!! Love them. The scoop neck in floral print did have a silvery background, but the fabic felt very cheap and thin. The striped CRBs also had that cheap plastic feeling but the surge CRB did not, made in Canada and that came home with me.
When can we expect the surge ss swiftly on the US side?
Thanks Lia for the color comparison!!
@ 3:52 AM, I just tried on the Avenue pullover this past weekend on md in a store (it was down to $79). I am a tts 4 and that's what I tried on. I'm 5'5" and 125 lbs. It was VERY roomy on me in the torso and it covered part of my butt. So it definitely would be long enough for you but it might be too roomy? You're smaller than I am. it fit me perfectly in the shoulders and sleeves. It is a nice sweater though and very soft and cozy, especially with the high neck. For me it would have been more of an impulse buy, and at $79 plus tax I controlled myself. It was also because I've also bought a lot of new stuff lately.
Got my full-on luon WUP in black today. They are the perfect, second skin fit with no bunching and no digging in. They smooth out my legs nicelywith just the right of compression. They also feel flame-retardant and you can clearly see the colour of my undies withoutbending over. When I do bend over, my husband can read the tag. You suck, Lulu.
With all the reviews all over the place with the Zinfandel BB pants I am seriously considering the reversable black/Zinfandel wunder under pants. I Am just afraid they will be too hot to do yoga in. I bought the BB forme and need/want something to go with.
Thank you to the ladies who commented on the Avenue Pullover! I went to one of my local stores today and they didn't have any to try on but said that they knew another store about 30 min. away has some left. I passed on ordering it from WMTM since I couldn't try it on and my size has now sold out. I ended up finding and buying a Star Runner Pullover in all black marked down to $74. I was in this same store on Tuesday and the solid black pullovers were still full price (other colors were marked down but were not my size) so I'm glad I stopped back. It is super soft and cozy and a very flattering slim fit.
