NEW! Spin Items

New items for spin - it looks like a longsleeve warm up top, a singlet (blech!) and a crop with (revealing) sheer mesh up the side. I really loved the Right Round singlet from last year. Looks like I'll be saving money this season. Also shown in the En Route Jacket.

Black Tech Mesh Singlet and Urbanite Pant. I love all things mesh as long as they aren't see through. I hope this tank is coming to my store or the webstore.

A nice shot of the Plum Wee Are From Space Inspire crops. Also, Raindrop Jacket.

 En Route Jacket photos.

Star Runner Pullover and Dog Runner Pant.

Is it weird that I kinda love the light grey En Route jacket:0 was it uploaded?

haha I LOVE The sheer ride panel on those crops!! Maybe it is a bit hooker-esque but whatever, i'm going to totally rock them, just like I rock my tech mesh tight :D lol I love a bit of bad ass to my workout gear because I also have a bit of bad ass to my casual style!

Yowsa! The mesh inset on the crops is really revealing. I like the design of the singlet a lot!

The mesh tank is in Canadian stores now. It comes in a mint green, black and lavender.

@ anon 6:31 pm - I liked the Tech Mesh tight a lot since the black mesh was pretty dark but the mesh in these and the Second Chance tight looks pretty sheer.

Anyone know who makes those awesome boots the model is wearing? I would love to get a pair!

What vinyassa is she wearing?

The crop with the see through has street walker written all over it. Just like the Shine tight. Perhaps there's a Street Walker capsule.

Wow! I was really looking forward to the spin line as I spin 3 times a week. I hope there is more in the upload because everything here is a big Pass! I wanted to add some Lulu to my Pearl Izumi oh well.

I love the En Route in the light grey too! And I don't think we are weird. To each it's own!!! ;) I don't think it was uploaded on the US site. The back zip, half unzipped or unzip at right where my hip starts, looks super stylish! :)

What the heck, are there TWO Lulu logos on the back of that Star Runner Pullover?!?!

Here's an OT try-on report:

I tried on a few of the Nice Asana jackets and agree that the luon is scratchy. The cuffs and the seams do not feel nice, which is a shame. I pretty much live in Lulu because my skin is so sensitive and I normally find the fabrics so gentle. Anyhoo, I did find that the ziggy version was much silkier feeling so I came home with the ziggy plum (hard to resist MD). Scratchy or not, the jacket fits me to a tee and along with the colour, it looks pretty darn good with my complexion (dark hair, fair skin).

Also, since I am pregnant, I have been scoping out a lot of the higher waisted styles. I tried on the high-low WUPs in ziggy black and inkwell paisley, both in my normal size 4. The waist comes up to my bra strap - my belly rejoiced! - but the two pairs we so different in fit and feel. The paisleys were extremely sheer, scratchy, and had a shine to them, just like cheap, bottom-of-the-barrel tights. But the ziggy pair felt like heaven and while they weren't completely opaque the pattern provided me with enough camoflage to feel ok wearing these out in public.

I purchased a ziggy black CRB a month ago and needed to size up to a 6. Today I tried on a ziggy plum CRB and, oddly enough, the 6 was way too big.

So while I am very pleased with the purchases I made today, I'm also peeved at the inconsistent sizing and quality of the fabrics because I live 4 hrs away and normally shop online. I used to be able to order items without any hesitation because Lulu used to be known for high quality merchandise and consistent sizing.

I don't understand when people get upset when someone comments something is ugly or "hooker" or tacky or whatever. They are just opinions. For every person that hates what you like, there will be another who loves it. Buy what you love, don't be upset when not everyone shares your opinion. It's just clothing.

I don't find the shine tights to be street walker material at all. I think they are fun and would totally wear them for working out and casual wear. Back in the day when I ran track in high school in the late 90s all of the tights at that time were shiny.

The lace on the back of the star runner pullover is thin to allow for ventilation. You are seeing the logo from her sports bra underneath. This is the same lace on the full tilt pullover.

@RunLikeTheWind - the Star Runner only has one logo it is the logo from her bra that is showing through the lace insert in the back because it is reflective from the flash that makes it look like there are two.

no kidding its just clothing some get so bent when you state that you hate this or that etc. Its really weird imo! I've posted comments on lulu's website and had a gal (i'm assuming its a girl) post that I had such a strong view that i'd better keep it to myself that others like this item yada yada yada, strange so I posted a comment back exactly what someone just said: its just clothing lady and get a grip its my opinion and I have a right to state it, I mean come on, super weird the kind of person I don't like the kind of person that is so pc their deranged on some lever, I try to stay clear of that kind of person they are unbalanced weirdo's!!! ha ha ha ha imo of course ;)

I am tempted by the en route jacket but a lot of the pictures show pointed shoulders. For those of you who have tried it on, how is the fit and quality? At $148, I need to make sure before ordering it online.

Personally, I like it when LLL makes items that have a classic quality and will endure over time. Even with new details that will not date over time.

In the past year (at least) they've made many things that, imo, are awful and unfortunate. There used to be so many things that were bankable or desirable at full price. Often any new crop or jacket ended up in my closet. Not anymore! I haven't bought a jacket in almost a year because they're just SO passable now (last jacket was 2x Run Bundle Up, on MD). Crops...not since before "pantsgate." Even before then, quality had deteriorated pretty badly. All I read these days is sheerness and loose threads.

I also know myself well enough to not be sucked in by something that is allegedly trendy and clearly a waste. It's a shame quality of design and construction is far and few between. That's OK, it's a better "pace" anyway as far as spending goes. I still think items like the Run Full Tilt l/s, CRB's, Swiftlies, and Speed Shorts (usually), are solid purchases. And if you look at wmtm or the warehouse sales, what do you see? Where the majority of what they're producing--ugly--goes to die. If I didn't want it at full price, I don't even want it for even $20. Also gone are the days where I could score great crops, pants, jackets (Dance Studio! Cuddle Up!), good colour CRB's, and (old) Scuba in wmtm!

Aw man, I thought the "hooker" comment was actually funny. I lol'd! I'm sorry, LLA, that there are some uptight people who are too easily offended, and you had to edit yourself. I love your blog, and I love how supportive mostly everyone is of one another. I also really enjoy your sense of humor.

As to this grouping of items, I hope no one is offended when I say "meh" and "bleh"! ;)

Does anyone have any idea what kind of boots those tan boots are?! They are so awesome!

I ordered the dark gray online last week and got it in Saturday. The shoulders are pretty structured. It kinda fits true to size but I had to unzip the back a little. When the back was fully zipped, it was super tight around the hips and it has zero stretch. They didn't have any in store yet but I might try a 6, however I think the 6 might big too big elsewhere. I returned the 4 because I would like to be able to wear the jacket it all its options. Weird because all my other lulu jackets are 4s.

The right use/color of mesh can look alluring, like in the Tech Mesh Tights. When it's not used well, it's looks trashy. I just don't care for how it looks in this photo, maybe it will look better on someone else but for right now I don't care for how light colored it appears in this photo.

The "Street walker capsule" comment made me laugh out loud. Thank you.

@ Ljg680 -- I went with my tts on the en route jacket too, and also find it snug on my hips when it is fully zipped. It doesn't look snug, it just feels a little snug. I tried it in store, so I was able to try the size up, which was way too big. I brought my tts home for a visit...I have to think about it though - $148 is a lot.

I like the pants with the mesh on the side. I actually saw a girl near the flat iron building in NYC wearing the last pair lulu came out with which had the mesh on the front of the tights and she was looking awesome in them. I would totally wear the ones above with a cut off T to my ghetto gym in Brooklyn. I think this whole thing is a matter of taste and yes some people tend to be more conservative than others. I certainly would not give dirty looks to the girl in hot yoga who is totally covered up in a sea of half naked people.
I also still think that lulu still has some decent stuff the star runner pull over is well made. so is the tata tamer especially when it's in WMTM as well as the scoop neck tank.
