The Latest and Try On Reports

I went to check out the new arrivals at the store today and was super surprised to find out I really like the Ziggy print stuff this time around. I hated Ziggy last time it was out - it was thick, hot, and scratchy. This time the material is super soft and silky, very stretchy and feels like luxtreme, especially the September Black and August Glo versions. I tried on the Will Pant in the Ziggy Wee September Black and really liked them. The Ziggy Wee August Inkwell - I only tried on the CRB, I don't think my store got the Wunder Under Pant in that color yet - is thicker but still soft. I ended up getting the crops shown in the above photo - the Ziggy Wee August Glo. I thought they were fun and they look super cute paired with Raspberry Glo. The material has good coverage and the pattern helps hide imperfections. I'd say the fit is TTS but the material is stretchy so if you are between sizes then go down. The WUP in the Ziggy September black is very stretchy but goes a bit sheer when over-stretched so I'd be careful in sizing down in the black.

The Will Pant in Ziggy Wee September Black.

Ziggy Wee August Glo Wunder Under Crops.

I tried on the Plum Ruffled Wunder Under Pants and thought the material was on the nicely thick side.

New Groove pants in Split Pea/Soot/Angel Wing

The new Full Tilt LS tops. I did not see these in my store. Note the new Slope Stripe Black Speed Shorts in the bottom photo. I have read these seem to fit a bit tight.

I tried on both the Wunder Under Pant and Skinny Will Pants in the Herringbone. These are the real deal herringbone and not a print on fabric. I was super tempted by the WUP but I already bought the Pique Skinny Wills so figured I could live without these. I thought the fit was TTS, maybe a bit snug but I wouldn't size down.

I tried on the regular luxtreme Speed tight in the Black Wee Space/Split Pea color. The luxtreme felt thicker than other Wee Space prints have been. I thought the compression was pretty good and they fit TTS. I can get away with wearing crops in our winters so I don't need these but I know people are really liking them.

How long were the speed tights? I read a comment that said they were really long, so now I'm wondering if they wont work for me -- I'm 5'3''. Thanks!

Thank you for your review on the new ziggy items. It's not a texture that grabbed my attention, but I might have to give it another chance. I appreciate that it's a genuinely new pattern that's unique to Lululemon. It's sort of like a luon ikat and almost a bit Missoni. It just looks quite messy in the product photos and I haven't been able to get past that.

@anon 3:24 am - I didn't really notice how long they were but I know they bunch up on the end on me and I am 5'5".

Hmmm I'm debating between the plum skinny wills and the plum speed tights...what to do? I'm in TX, so not sure what will be more useful. Also, I'm a short 5'2", so any other shorties try both of these on?

The ruffle WU were super see they when I tried them on even after sizing up. I only tried the black on though. And yes the new speed shorts in black stripes fit tight! I already size up from a 4 to a 6 in speed shorts, all my speed shorts are a 6, and the sales lady tried to get me to try on an 8... Not sizing up two sizes to get a good fit , not doing it

Thank you for the review LLA I am very excited about all the new stuff that lulu is putting out at the moment. I have to be careful though, my workout clothes closet is seriously full with only lulu, the sign of a very bad addiction.

I love the lace on the full tilt LS. I hope the lulu designers pick that up and make them into crbs. The last time they had the limited edition lace crbs, they sold like hotcakes! I wanna get every single colour if it comes out again!

I thought the Speed tights were longer than usual and the Ruffled WUP were shorter than usual. I would have loved to have gotten the Speed Cosy tights, but you can't hem them (they are ruched at the bottom). They were sooo nice! I thought they were also not only long, but tight at the ankle, and I have a small foot and a skinny ankle!

Both the luxtreme and cozy speed tights say they have 30" inseams according to the website.

Thanks so much for sharing your fit reviews. It is always so helpful and I was curious about the ziggy print crops and now I really want to get to a store and try them on.

@Katmac - tough question. I would think you might find the Speed tights a bit cooler/more breathable than the skinny wills because of the different fabrics. If you run, the pockets in the speeds tights are super handy. If you want to use them for both gym and casual then I would go with the Skinny Wills. The Speed tights look like technical wear.

You say the skinny will herringbone aren't just a printed on pattern? I had heard they were from other sources, but my local store hasn't gotten them, and I'm too scared to pull the trigger online! (In fact they were out of a lot of stuff and they had merchandise from 9 mo agi (e.g. Cardio kick bra, gingham WU) that weren't marked down!). I didn't like the way the pique Will pants fit on me, but I'm wondering if the herringbone might be better. thanks!

I LOVE the full tilt long sleeve and picked up the hyper stripe plum. It is so soft and comfortable and fits perfectly in my usual size 6. It's fitted but not tight and the color is so pretty. Now I need the weather to cool off enough to get some use out of it!

I also tried the Ziggy Wee August Glo WU crops. I loved the feel of the fabric but the print was just too much on my legs. I carry most of my weight in my butt/upper thighs and this print was just not flattering. Too bad, because it's such a fun print!

WhenI tried on the Ziggy Wee August Glo crops I found they were sheer went I bent over. But maybe thats better for me because I have been buying a lot of lulu lately since I'm no longer pregnant. I need to take a break.

I got the WAFS speed tights and they were nice and tight, but pretty see-tru without even bending down that much. I'm 5'8" and thought the length was nice and they only bunched a little bit. I got the pique wup and skinny will's trying to decide which to keep!

Not directly related, but that yoga lady (doing camel pose) has such fab abs...I want it...

@ julie - pull the trigger. They are real herringbone.

I tried on the Cozy Speeds today. I'm 5'10" and I found them a smidge long--I rolled them up about half an inch to reveal the reflective stripe inside. Very form-fitting and snuggly inside. Since the bottom is rouched, I think you can scrunch them down a bit to compensate for the length.

I tried them both & went with the skinny wills in plum. They fit me perfect & I found them to be more versatile than the speeds. I'm 5'3" & got them in my tts 6. Hope this helps!

My WU in Herringbone arrived in the mail today and they are beautiful and opaque! Real herringbone, NOT just a print! A little thicker than the basic WUs and will be perfect for fall. Highly recommend.

I tried on the Ruffled WUs in plum at the store the other day and, although they had more compression than the Hi/Lo WUs, they were still completely see-through. Such a bummer because they looked great and I really want a pair of plum yoga pants. Haven't seen the Plum Skinny Wills at my stores. Hoping those show up on the website and are opaque.

Are those inkwell wu in the full tilt pictures? I have been patiently waiting through all the plum for an inkwell wu or wuc. Does anyone have the scoop?

I found the same thing with the Plum WUs and I was also in my larger size.

Would you recommend WUP Textured or Speed Tight Cozy for winter East Coast running? Or will neither be warm enough? Thanks!
