More Sea Check Speed Shorts

Man, those Sea Check Speed shorts are so cute. I hope this pattern is coming in Track Attack shorts, too. Shown with the Blue Moon Stuff Your Bra II tank.

Those shorts are so cute, I no longer see them on line!

Can you please keep us informed if these start showing up in stores? They are so cute!

I bought the Iris Atma tank, but I'm still on the fence. It's really long, in fact I'd call it a tunic! And you cannot hem it without losing the logo, which is not a big deal, except you would have to hem it at least 3 inches, and I'd only want two inches gone. Leaving a partial logo, and that's not acceptable.

It also has a curved hem and I know there a lot of you that do not like curved hemlines on tanks.

I bought the Iris Vinyasa because that is going to fly out of the stores, and tried on the blue Stuff your Bra tank (forgot exact name)

It's tight through the bust and back! If you have large lat muscles (like I do) or back fat then this is going to be a pass!

The Santana Row store did not have too much new stuff, about 20% of what was uploaded (except lots of the Iris Vinyasa), so wait a day or two for them to get more shipments. No striped CRB's, no bike shorts, no Speeds, no blue Om, not sure about the new bras, maybe, no Chai Time.

I saw the new CRBs in store today. The striped ones are not high poly content but the floral one seemed to be although I don't remember the exact content of it. I liked the inkwell/blue moon striped one the best. No sea check speeds but they did have the new ras glo ones.

My store didn't have much out yet. They took my name and number and offered to call me if they got more of the PLUX WUC which was nice. I really wanted to check out the chai time pullover because it looks beautiful on the website. It seems amazingly cheap in price to me too!

They also didn't have any plum or inkwell inspires yet.

I did notice that a lot of tanks in pizazz were marked down - track and train was only $29.

All the sea wheeze checked shorts in all sizes were gone on the Lulu website this a.m. at 7 o'clock. I honestly feel like someone is buying certain pieces up to hoard then sell a an inflated price at a later time. These shorts went faster than the Love Red track attack skirts which all disappeared overnight in every size. Something weird about that!

I will hit the store tomorrow hope i can see new stuff. I kinda regret that i didnt order sea check speedy but i am sure they will upload more next batch. I ordered RG speedy which is my fav color!

Anonymous said...

Do you know if these will be available in stores??

New speeds are cute, sorta regret not getting them, hopefully they show up in stores or my stores get the pacesetter.

Was in store today and did not see much of the new stuff. No inspires, no speeds, no Chai time PO but my store did have a lot on MD.

This is really TMI but I need a bit of advice. Among other things I picked up today I grabbed a skirt on MD and did not try it on because it was my usual size and my hands were full however I just went to put it on and there is (no joke) "residue" in the crotch. Ummm, nasty. Like really nasty. So, what in the world do I do with this thing now?! I can't return it nor do I want the embarrassment of taking that thing back to the store! I guess lesson learned, the hard way, to at a minimum, look inside the clothing before purchasing. Appalling, never had this happen in my 5+ years of wearing lulu.

The Sea Check Speed Shorts were at my local store today. Not sure if this will help anyone, it is the west 4th store in Vancouver.

LLL...omg....your homepage. I can see that girls boobs. SERIOUSLY, you make cups for all of your bras....why don't you advertise them?

fingers crossed these fit like most of the other speeds i've gotten and the 2 fits me! i debated ordering a 4 as well but didn't. now i'm on pins and needles waiting for my order to come in!

checked out my local store and, for once, walked out with nothing!

didn't have the sea check speeds (or pace setter), did have the rasglo speeds. were already out of the iplux WUs in 2 and 4, but had them in other sizes.

no chai time pullover yet (drat). i'm considering just buying it from the site, because people seem to really love it (supposedly the pills are easily removed and stop happening after a few washes?), and the price drop is attractive, too.

my store had the iris scuba (not calling to me) and the blue moon commuter denim scuba. i tried it on in a 4 (i own a 2 in the scuba stretch in another color) and it fit.. rather roomily. not BAD roomy, just bigger than i remember 4s in scubas being in the past on me. passed on it, but i did really like the color. if the logo on the hood had been inkwell instead of blue moon, i probably would have caved.

no plum WUs yet, but an educator was wearing them from a couple of years ago and i was SO jealous. i need these to come back!!

i had a black vinyasa in my hand and ended up putting it back. the split pea (?) on the snap ribbon area kills the iris print for me. it looked like it was grey (possibly soot light) on the reverse side. i'm going to wait a week or so, then probably buy the black vinyasa (if it's still there) -- but what i REALLY want is a plum or a heathered grey. yum.

had all four tanks i was interested in (iris, blue moon solid, and the two new stripes) but passed on all of them. holding out for a solid plum, though i might eventually cave and get solid blue moon anyway. the stripes aren't as attractive to me in person as i thought they'd be in my head!

i didn't see the new bras or the om pant.

saw the new bliss break stuff too. meh. the sweatpants looked cozy but i never really have occasion to wear sweatpants anymore. i'm considering getting the plum pair to throw on over my shorts after dance for wintertime, but... it's not a need-now item for me.

atma tank didn't look like anything special to me; i didn't even try it on.

i almost got the plum tuck and flow, but it's still to hot to even consider running in rulu right now. they had it in a pretty heathered grey that i thought about getting for a yoga to-from/savasana, though.

really, i'm just bracing for the next upload. i'm hoping that's when we'll see the plum WUs, the universal wrap, plum LS swiftly (pleaaaaaase!!), blue moon swiftlies (also pleaaaase), maybe a plum crb? plum bangbuster? and while we're talking wishlist -- a plum power y.

I was so bummed to see these shorts literally vanish into thin air -- I saw them as the first color option on the "What's New" page, went to the bathroom, and bam! they were gone.

The RAGL size 4s were already sold out at this point, too :( I am marching down to my store tomorrow morning at opening to snag a pair.

The Sea Check Shorts should be arriving in stores… mine is getting some on Thursday...

GAHHHH it drives me nuts when the models size down on speed shorts! Don't they know their good China is displayed when they undersize??

Anonymous said...

I went to 3 local lulu store but non of them had a speed shorts.

Anonymous said...

Hmm, I must be the only one who is not loving that check pattern on the speeds. I was purchasing several items at 10pm last night and there was a full run of these speeds, but I passed them up. And speeds are the only shorts I wear! I just don't see what's so cute about giant plaid. I must be blind to some magic here.

My store in the Houston Galleria had the sea check shorts as well today.

Did anyone notice the camo print on the Namaste yoga tote?

the model is awesome. super athletic. thank you LLA

I ordered those at 1:00 am I was just browsing so glad I didn't wait till the morning :/

I agree I love speeds as well and there were plenty when I was looking at around 3am in the US. I don't ever seen myself wearing them, they don't match anything!

Anonymous said...

Looks like we have a midnight iris pace setter skirt coming too.

OMG here in Australia I paid $75 for track and train!

I just called my local store in McLean (Tyson's Corner) and they don't have the plaid speed shorts, they do have the raspberry glo if anyone is local and wants a pair of those. They told me they get their shipments of new stuff about 7pm and have it out for opening the next day M-F.

Cheers,
MacFrannie

@Anon 6:29

I would def email the GEC about that - super gross. I can't imagine they wouldn't do something for you like offer you a gift card.

I emailed them about a CRB that had weird colour issues and they wrote back and said they would give me a full refund on a gift card and would send me a shipping thing so that I could send it back to them free of charge. That might be a good option for you so you don't have to deal with it in person.

i snagged (i think) the last pair of the Sea Checks yesterday morning. they were a size 2 and i normally wear a size 4. i'm going to hit my local Lulu tomorrow and hope that they have them. if not, i'm just going to cross my fingers that the size 2 fit and aren't too tight.

i'm also amazed that the Play All Day shorts are now disappearing online. i thought i could wait on those since they didn't seem to be selling that well at my store. :(

I bet everyone who bought the plaid speeds from last year's sea wheeze for $250+ is feeling pretty silly right about now.

Hi - I am dying for a pair of the sea plaid speeds in a size 4 but missed them online and am now on vacation. My local store won't hold them for me or sell them over the phone. If anyone has an extra pair in a 4 or is willing to pick one up at their store and mail to me (US) I would be eternally grateful! I can pay postage and a bit over retail ($10-20) but can't affoard the crazy ebay prices! You can contact me at catenava@hotmail.com. Thanks!!

Anonymous said...

Or you ca wash it and sell it on ebay..Ha:)

I went to my local in Chicago burbs and got a 4 and 6 in the speeds because I didnt have time to try them on. I also walked out with the Tuck and Flo plum LS, the color was gorgeous!

Anonymous said...

I am dying for those speeds! I'm in NYC and I've been calling both stores on the UWS to no avail :( Hopefully they will get them in the next couple of days... Looks like I'm going to be a Lulu store stalker this week...

Plaid speed shorts at my store in Boulder, CO, but not many left! So cute, I caved and got some. I like them so much better than the Seawheeze shorts. They also had all three colors of the Universal Wrap, and I impulsively left with the one in heathered black swan. OMG love....

Anonymous said...

Hello! Can you recommend a LLL board for swapping items? I got a pair of the plum plaid speeds in size 4, but I prefer the fit in the legs of a size 6. Looking to swap sizes with someone. Thanks!

Bought the sea checked speeds today at my store in Kingston, Ontario. They are super cute (and fit TTS) but like someone else mentioned, are tough to match! (since so many of my shirts are black and black does not look good!). I knew they had sold out instantly on line so bought them anyway!

Also bought the Tuck n flow ls in plum because the color is gorgeous! (love this colour palette!!) It's a super cute style although the sleeves are quite tight and the rest very flowy.

I definitely like the look of the iris atma tank, but no sign of it at my local stores and nothing on the Canadian site?? (am I blind?)

If the speeds popped up in store I might be tempted but I'm pretty stocked up. Saw the Bliss Break in store today, but didn't end up trying it, just felt so thin for the $.

OT, I've been a huge fan so far of yogasmoga, I own two pairs of the run jump play crops in blue/pink (in my lulu tts, 8). I liked the fit but thought I could probably size down to a 6 because there was a bit of extra fabric around the front/crotch. I opted to size down in a black pair (seemed safer) and although I LOVE the fit, more compressive but not too tight, they are sheer when I do the bend over test. Sigh. Not like bad lulu sheer, but you could clearly see the difference between my underwear and my bare skin. Neither of my size 8's are sheer so I guess my "true size" in YS is 8 despite their slight looseness. I want to order a pair of the leggings so now I'm not sure which size to do! YS needs a store. :)

Oakbrook? That's my usual haunt. :)

Did they have the universal wrap or chai time pullover?

How do the arms fit in the universal wrap?? Are there thumbholes?

Spotted the sea check speeds at la encantada in tucson tonight.

I got the sea check speeds today in the Chandler, AZ store. Hard to match how? Goes with sizzle, spry blue, ras glow, probably blue moon and definitely plum (crossing fingers for the release of a plum CRB.) And when all else fails, i think they look fine with white too. I find them beyond cute. I can't explain the magic, but i want to snuggle them like a teddy bear when i sleep. They're THAT cute to me.

I just saw a pacesetter on EBay in this print. Did I miss those? Or, are they in stores only?

I was a total creeper today at lulu and went in for socks (I forgot to bring a pair for crossfit) and talked to the educator as I was checking out (with the hyperstripe CRBs and a love red energy bra along with my socks, surprise, surprise can't go in for just one thing) about how I was charged for the sea check speeds only to find out they'd sold out and my order didn't go thru.

The ed said "we are unpacking those RIGHT NOW" and I was like gimme gimme gimme and bought them. Another ed who was unpacking must have thought I was nuts but I DON'T CAREEEEEE. I GOT MY SPEEDS. AND I LOVEEEE THEMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Anonymous said...

There are thumb holes. Arms are not too tight at all! Very nice!

They were uploaded on the canadian side in the most recent upload.

They were on the Canadian site for about 8 hours before they were completely sold out. My local store (Burlington, On) had them in stock yesterday. Didn't like them as much in person as I thought I would, so didn't buy (plus I have a zillion skirts already, can't justify another one unless it's one I LOVE).

ha ha lulu fan. I am about to start stalking the NYC lulu for those shorts. I think they look so cute and fun. speeds are my fav shorts for all activities. I am just hoping that they show up in my local store. Maybe next week.

The sea check speeds are my first pair of speeds. Question: are they really supposed to fit like they fit on the model in the pictures? That's how the size I bought fits on me but I'm not sure if I shoud size up since I'm a runner. It's hard to tell how an item will perform unless you actually run in it and unfortunately lulu's return policy is less than generous in that respect. Help, please! Thanks!

I ordered the Sea Check Pacesetter that was uploaded to the Canadian side. :) can't wait in until it gets here! (Hopefully tomorrow!)

Anonymous said...

@ Anon 6:15pm....I always think the speeds on the 'models' in the pics are a bit too tight. I'm 5'6, 118lbs and I wear a size 6 which are comfortable and don't look huge but allow me enough room to move freely (I'm a serious runner/triathlete). The only thing I wish they'd change on the speeds are the waist band...the cord is sewn in low so I find the waist area puckers somewhat especially since I usually wear a bra top to run and the waist is exposed. Would love to see a more gathered elastic waist line similar to some of the other shorts.

Anonymous said...

hi 6:15 I think if the sea check pattern is 2 way swift and it is that tight around the thighs, you might have trouble with chaffing.
I run in my speed shorts and mine are a bit looser in the thigh area I normally don't run in the 2 way swift but it is great for gym workouts.

Anon6:15PM- I think it's all personal preference. Mine fit looser because I like a little room when I run and crossfit. If I sized down to a 2 they would fit like the models. I buy 4 particularly when it's a pattern because they are 2 way stretch vs. the solid colors which are usually 4 way stretch and fits looser. Hope that makes sense and helps. Maybe if you want to swap you should post on here and someone may need to swap too. You never know.
