What? Nobody is going to comment on the fabulously fit male model? ;)

I saw the grey stripe fast cat skirt at the Tyson's LLL last night and it was really cute. I would have gotten it but they didn't have my size.

anyone have thoughts on the track to reality pants? they look cute in some photos but awkward in others, and i don't think i'll have a chance to get in store.

thanks!!

OT, but curious what everyone think of the new Nike yoga pant for fall? http://nikeinc.com/news/shape-and-feel-the-nike-sculpt-tight

After receiving my plaid pacesetter, I have to stand in the group that thinks it fits small. There is no give in the fabric like the others I own. I was glad I ordered two sizes to try. The size-up makes the waistband looser, but, unlike my regular size, the next size up fits and I can move with it on.

I just had the weirdest thing happen. The FedEx man shows up with a lulu package containing a sz 8 speed shorts in sea check. I wear a sz 2 or 4 for one thing but also I completely missed that upload and ended up getting a pair thru my lovely friend who helped me out. Anyone ever have this happen? So now would I be responsible for the $5 shipping charge to send them back? That's crazy! I apparently paid for them. Shows on PayPal : /

Tried on the fast cat check skirt.... The yellow under shorts are see through..... What a shame

The pics of the plum dance studio jacket look more like a purple colour rather than the plum that is in many of the recent new items. Has anyone seen it?
thx

I'm curious to see how the plaid fast cat skirt fits, I got the pacesetter in 4 and I can hardly squeeze it on. I have pacesetters in a 2 & 4, so this makes no sense! Annoying!

I picked up the grey striped Fast Cat skirt at the Bethesda MD store (my first time at that location). I felt like they were trying a hard sell on a few items and it put me off a little bit. Even when I told them, yes I have that item, it is nice, thanks... I don't think I'll be going back there any time soon.

They did have shake and bake shorts, the midnight iris WUP, plum stills, a few sea check RSS, most sizes of sea check Grooves (even one size 2), and the grey fast cat skirt. They also had Chai Time tops. I tried one on to see if I liked it but it just isn't for me. I have the same issue with it as I do with the long sleeve swiftlys, the forearms on the sleeves are just WAY too tight. The short sleeve ones fit great but the long sleeves are just a no go for me.

The Fast Cat fits similar to the pace setter I think. The material is 2 way stretch and has little reflective threads incorporated like the reflective run speeds a while back.

First of all, thanks for all the time you put in this blog !

I have a question concerning the recall of black luon pants : do you think they still exchange them ? I purchased a pair of black presence pants in march and never wore them to yoga because my husband told me he could see everything lol .. and since I'm not a lululemon addict (but I totally respect those who are!!) I didn't even know they recalled those products. so ... has anyone got a refund or an exchange recently for black luon purchased in march ? TIA

I must be in the minority, but I do not like the look of the Fast Cat skirt. The split at the front seems to make it hitch up a bit in every photo I have seen. Makes it look like the center of the skirt is shorter than the sides and that only happens if the tummy area is not fitting correctly. Seems to fit fine on everyone in other places so it is just the style I guess. No go for me. Also do not like how they put the sea check on the diagonal just on the front center portions, especialy since the colors are not symmetrically placed.

I'm going to put this out into the universe and maybe some of my good Karma will come back to me.

I am totally Jonesing for a pair of the Sea Wheeze mosaic triangle run speed shorts in size 10 (damn you two way stretch). I'm stalking a pair on ebay and trying to decide if I am insane to pay nearly triple the actual sticker price. I certainly don't need them but... HA

If anyone has a line on a pair shoot me an email. macfrannie@gmail.com.

THANKS!
Fran

@Jennifer K: I think it fits small, too. I sized up, and the waistband is loose, but not too bad. The skirt is now comfortable, and lays nice without any pulling. I love it!!

@ anon 9:01am: you could try calling GEC maybe, especially since the size is inconsistent with what you usually wear? I've been putting small items in a small flat rate box ($5.15) in order to get my refund faster if I can't get to a store. I hope this helps...

Off topic but has anyone sized down in the chai time pullover? I tried in both my regular size and one down. I am on the fence about which one to get. While my regular size is comfortably slouchy in is also a tad long and since I am planning on wearing it with jeans, I don't want it mid thigh. The arms while fitted were ok on both. I could still push the sleeves up a bit. For reference I usually buy a 6. 5.4.5, 120 and 32/34 b.

If you contact the GEC they most likely will take the pants back. You wont get a refund but they will give you a gift certificate. I have a crb that had color transfer during the wash and when I contacted them about it they offered the gift certificate even though I bought it in Feb.
Good Luck!

Macfrannie- I think the Bethesda girls also do a hard sell. I like the Logan Circle location even though I feel they may get less items? They usually have a better attitude.

Which is usually your favorite location?

Anon at 11:40 AM, it was TTS for me. I was my normal size 4 like I am in every Lulu bottom. The only time I size down is for Groovy shorts and the Run Pace skirts, I wear a 2. I haven't had to size up for any bottom yet. I think it looks great, and it is very slimming!

@anon 3:08pm: I sized down in the Chai Time. Normally a 4 in all tops, but the chest area in the sweater was too baggy in that size for me. The gals at my store said the material will relax with wear, so I went with a size 2.

has the chai time pullover sold out or been pulled? I can't seem to find it. I know reviews said arms were super tight.

@10:46AM - The plum studio jacket isn't purple at all. It's a very nice wine/burgundy colour. I tried it on in size 6 which is the same as my CRB size and it fit well but I didn't like it enough to buy. I not a Lulu jacket fan generally.

@ Anon 4:14PM, if the Logan circle is the store on P street I've been there about 3-4 times. The funny thing is I use to work on Vermont Ave near McPherson Sq about 4.5 years ago, but... I had no idea what LLL was then and I was too big to wear the clothes anyway. So it's all good.

The other bad thing about the Bethesda store is it is maybe 2-3 doors down the street from a Georgetown Cupcake store. OMG, I have never had one and since I was right there I got 6. I have 4 left... LOL

My usual haunt is the Tyson's Corner store in McLean. It is the location that is the closest to home for me. I've gone to Clarendon a couple of times but it is a hassle for me to get there. I either have to drive, ugh or take the metro double ugh.

I'm in DC part of next week for a conference and since the traffic situation is such a drag my boss lets me stay in town in a hotel so I'm going to see if I can run over to at least the store on P St. I have to see how much time I have to myself.

If anyone is still on the hunt for things let me know, I'll see what I can do to help out. I know I will be going to my local store next weekend as I have some size duplicates coming and I discovered that I can place a vacation hold on FedEx deliveries for while I'm not home. This is one of the rare times when someone isn't at the house and I don't want my packages sitting on my doorstep for a few days or bother my neighbor.

Thanks for the shout-out and thanks to LLA for all you do. I love this blog and I've learned so much and met so many nice ladies in the process.

Peace, Love and Lulu

Hey all...I just got the Athleta catalog for the fall, and wow. They have really upped their game. Interested to hear what you guys think. They have a lot of super cute items that are looking more and more like they came from Lulu. Far less "woodsy" than what I'm used to from Athleta. Impressed!

I think there will be more of the mosaic triangle. The new lulu bags have the mosaic pattern on the yogi girl. Also that new gray skirt has the same pattern on the bag. I'm liking the paisley pattern on the bag and hoping for something in that.

@CarolineR, i tried on the Track to Reality pants tonight. i liked the fit of them, but they are thick. i was getting hot just wearing them in the dressing room. i'm in SC, so a warmer climate, and i don't know that i'd be able to wear them for any type of exercise. i much preferred the fit and weight of the Bliss Break Sweatpants, but couldn't spend that much on what essentially looks like Hanes sweatpants. the waistband is nice and slender, but you wouldn't show that part much.

so, i'd say it depends on your climate. for me, if they make it to a markdown, i'd consider them. but they were just too warm and i know i wouldn't wear them enough.

The plum is plum, not purple. If you love that colour, you won't be disappointed:)

Just call the GEC the number is on their website. I returned a Pair of WU's and they were bought before Christmas.

@Anon 6:07PM. Totally agree with you - Athleta has definitely changed their approach - even the models and photos look a little edgier. V interesting -almost LLL looking, I noticed it immediately too!

@ 3:08pm I also sized down on the Chai Time sweater. I am usually a 6 and went to a 4. You could probably go either way. I liked the fit of the 4 better. For reference, I am 5.2.-5.3, 118 lbs and 34C.

@Ching-a-ling, I'm not sure if you sent the email or if you changed your mind. If you sent it, I haven't received it and if you changed your mind, no worries. :)

Thanks!

Speaking of Athleta, I finally made it into the store near me yesterday to check out their stuff!

What was in the store still seemed more on the bohemian/woodsy side to me but I did try on a pair of crops.

I tried on the connect capri in the black/grey wee stripe color. It fit great and was not sheer at all however it was really warm! I couldn't see working out in it and not quickly overheating. I do not run outside very often so wouldn't get much use from them. I wanted to try on the chaturanga crop but they didn't have any in my size other than a magenta color which I would never wear so didn't even bother. And the same with any store they didn't have all the same crops in the store that are online right now. It also seemed that most of their pants are made from high poly content versus LLL which is mostly nylon.
