Eye Candy and...Oh Yeah, Some Lululemon Stuff

Darn, I forgot to post this earlier. This came up on my feed and I knew I had to share with you ladies. This is an Ambassador from the Rancho Cucamonga store. I have got to hand it to SoCal stores, they can really pick the male Ambassadors (and really know how to photograph them. I love the setting of this.)  ;-)

Some more Scoop Neck photos.

The Plum Hi Low Wunder Under Pants.

More Journey Crop photos.

The latest Power Y tanks.

I am so excited to get the Midnight Iris duffel I ordered. I was able to check the bag out in the store last night and it looks really nice. It comes tomorrow. I can't wait to retire my Retro Groove bag:

Quality of new Scoop Necks is not good.

Quality of Scoop Necks has gone way down hill

They are thinner than before which bums me out.

Aw! They look so cute, love the Midnight Iris print in the Scoop Neck

All of the models look great, especiallyyyy the first one!!! Thank you LLA for him!!

RC has a lulu store? Maybe this is the OC in me, but RC seems so BFE. Yummy eye candy though!

Wow, that is some serious eye candy. THANKS!!!

Quality of everything seems to have gone downhill - my high/low plum WUs don't even have a logo on them. Not sheer once I sized up, though the compression isn't great - I was willing to tolerate it for the colour, but seriously, what's up with the missing logo?

I read somewhere that the hi-low wunder unders have a weird crotch, and it is what I'm seeing in the 1st pic showing the pants! Why is the crotch wrinkly?

Anonymous said...

Oh la la!

Depends on the fabric. Midnight iris is a weird pattern knt. I saw black in my store and it was standard luon

I ordered the Scoop Neck pow stripe split pea in last upload and now I'm worried that the stripe placement would be similar to that 3rd photo from top -- the cut off at the bust made the stripe placement odd... it's all yellow and blue. :(

Have you heard about the corn blue dance studio jackets luluaddict?

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 7:31 pm - I did. I tweeted about them earlier. There is a new cornflower blue and Angel Wing off white. I forgot to mention them in the blog.

LuluAddict said...

@ strongisbeautiful - oooh! That gives me hope. I have my eye on the inkwell/plum fat striped one.

Do the journey crops show little skin imperfections?

Anonymous said...

Question for you experts out there: I bought my mom a sleeveless Swiftly top. She's run in it twice, and it's already full of snags. Super disappointing. Will the stores take it back, or will it be a fight? Thanks for the help. :)

strongisbeautiful said...

I ordered it! Ill be sure to let you know when I get it!

Anonymous said...

I'm sorry those journey crops look like pantyhose. Not cute. I much prefer the tech mesh tights for this 'look.'

Anonymous said...

Nice way to open the latest entry! Thanks for sharing the Ambassador with us!

Um, I had to look very carefully to see that it was his foot in tree stand. Holy moly there. My he does have big feet nonetheless!

@9:31 PM I'd take them back. I took 2 v-neck swiftlys back to the store and got a full refund on a gift card with no questions asked. I had bought the swiftlys in April and by August they were snagged on the inside! I had only worn these a handful of time and always with just FTB bra (so no friction other than my skin).

I don't do yoga but I would start if the instructor looked like that!!!

Anonymous said...

Definitely return the run swiftly that has run. They should replace it no questions asked!!!

Holy heavens! That man is beautiful! Thanks LLA

I just wanted to put my two cents worth in and I've noticed that the quality of Lulu has gone downhill big-time!! Several of my swiftly tanks have had a hole in them in one wash and I wash my Lulu very carefully and hang to dry! Ive been dealing with Lulu since they opened as a brand almost 15 years ago. They use to give me such a hard time over the phone for any problem, Now I find every time I have to call they are super nice. I also find now a days, they give any excuse to give out gift cards! I called the other day just to make a suggestion and they were handing me out a gift card, just like that! I am left wondering how a company can keep that up--giving out gift cards so freely! I come to the conclusion they must be in terrible trouble...to keep their customers loyalty just by giving out so many gift cards!! In fact, every time I seem to call about anything, I'm being offered a gift card! I don't understand that! why not just fix the problems at hand...instead of handing out gift cards all the time. I even called one day to give them a compliment and was being offered a gift card! lol... What is going on with this company??? They acknowledge That there are problems, but it's like they don't want to fix the problems they just want to use a Band-Aid by handing out a gift card! Of course who isn't appreciative of a gift card, but I wonder how long this company is going to be able to freely hand out gift cards to everyone?! This willingness to hand out a gift card for anything & everything, makes no sense to me... So strange!! Makes me wonder what's going on with Lululemon Behind the scenes.

has anyone tried hi/low ziggy wee WU? R they see through, TTS? i checked online and 6 was available, i am a 4, but i love the print so much that i ordered the 6, which disappeared from website after my order....now i am wondering if these would be too big ... and my order will only come on sept 6!

@9:31 - it might be a fight, but worth a shot. I know the delicate nature of Swiftlies is super frustrating, especially the recent ones. I have had quality issues a few times and have better luck emailing the GEC (at the very least, you don't have to deal with the "look" they give you in store). One time I got my return authorization and then took the email back to the store and showed it to them, as the turnaround time is lengthy when you ship it back.

It may be totally hit or miss. I had one Swiftly issue, and one store denied me while another would let me swap it out for another Swiftly. I totally understand how that item can break down without ever being subject to even the most minor trauma.

@ Ching-a-ling... That's so funny!! I was looking at that pic from my phone and I thought the same thing! Let's just say it's a very impressive foot!!

OT - Totally random off topic question. Has anyone ever tried to purposely shrink speed shorts? I've read about some methods on the interwebs but wondered if anyone had any personal experience with something like that.

Thanks!
MacFrannie

Anonymous said...

I would love to know if there us a way to purposely shrink speed shorts as well. I have 2 pairs that are just a little too big. Thanks to anyone with this info. Looks like macfrannie and I are sharing a brain again. Lol. Peaceandjoy

Anonymous said...

mcfrannie I don't think you can shrink the nylon fabric the speeds are made from. You may damage it first especially if it is the 4 way swift which is quite delicate.

The eye candy is mmmm mmmm mm..
I am bummed the the scoop neck is not of great quality. I just ordered the iris print one which I think is really nice and looks great on all the models.

I was excited that the Scoop Neck tanks were making a comeback, but seeing these pictures I'm not so sure now.

It looks like there's more cleavage being shown in most photos than I really care to show when working out.

Also, I was a total fan of the pow stripe inkwell but when I see it on bustier models the stripes end up looking weird.

@559: I saw the ziggy WUs, and they were so nylony like stockings or pantyhose. I didn't try them on but tried stretching them a bit with my hand. In my opinion I think they're definitely going to be pretty sheer. Maybe your sizing up will help after all.

Anonymous said...

All you ladies treating this poor, half naked man like a Grade A piece of meat should be ashamed of yourselves! How many times have you denounced men for objectifying women? It's absolutely disgusting and a disgrace...

LOL! I can't type this with a straight face! He is yummy! Heh! Thanks LLA!

macfrannie said...

Thanks for the shrinkage comments (LOL couldn't help myself). I am wanting to shrink a pair with 2 way stretch, my 4 way are all good. Maybe I'll attempt it with a pair I don't like as much as an experiment. I might also just try washing in super hot water and see if that might work. If I figure it out I'll report back to the group.

I was reeeaaalllyy tempted to get the plum and ziggy hi/low WUs but didn't like the waistband so I passed... Now I'm glad I passed because so far haven't heard anything good about either! sad!

At anon 5:37 .... I just called 2 days ago and didn't have a good experience. I had tried to purchase the DSJ for the 3rd time. The last jacket I received had part of the swift material sticking out of the cuff. I was soooo upset especially since I had to order online AFTER I had driven for 3 hours to try to buy one at the store.
GEC just said "we will try to make it right" and I said, "ok well I want my money back and not a gift card" and they said they would make a "one time exception" and set up a return BUT I got an email saying that when they recieve my package they will issue me a gift card... WHAT?! So after my online chat and email and phone call... I still only get a gift card?! No thanks, I want my money back as they stated on the phone! Any one have this happen and actually receive a refund instead of the gift card?

Does anyone know if the Heathered Raspberry Glo LS Swiftly with the zipper is as good as quality as the long sleeved one? What about the plum ones? I'm really bummed that the swiftly have gone downhill but am hoping they are getting better.

Anonymous said...

My store's email just came. They have new plum groovy run shorts. Soooo pretty!

Anonymous said...

The company can afford to give out gift cards because they are overcharging for all of their clothes. Let's face it - upwards of $80 for workout pants is quite insane. How much does it cost them to actually manufacture that pant? Probably less than $20.

Sorry to be a downer but it is annoying reading comments about how rude the GEC and some eds are when people try to return things due to poor quality and are then faced with absolutely horrible customer service. I have yet to experience this but totally believe every word of it. It's sad especially given the amount of money we all spend on their product, myself included.

Athleta is looking more and more appealing all the time.

So to anon 9:10 am, I would push and push and demand your money back. That's the only way to deal with this sad and ignorant company.

Ahh, that is a great picture to see during my work day. Thanks for thinking of us LLA!! :)

Question for people: I have Bordeaux Drama turbo run shorts from last year with I think a parfait pink (precious pink maybe) trim. I have a hard time matching these with tops because of the color combo. Does anyone think the plum/inkwell/split pea pow stripe CRB would look nice with them? Or do you think the two plum colors would clash? I would actually prefer a luxtreme top, but I've been looking for a good top for a while, and can't find anything I like. Can anyone suggest anything?

Anonymous said...

FTR: i have ziggy wee regular WUP from last year and i love them - they are kind of like nylons, i guess, but they are also flattering/forgiving and work well as leggings. (if it's the same material)

OT: i got my sea check groovy run shorts and my black summer quilt groovy runs, and the sea check are really stiff and don't feel like they'd be very comfortable for running. the fabric content is completely different between the 2 pairs. i guess people are already aware of this, and now i get it. (my other 2 pairs are all black.)

that said, which one of these is "two-way" and which is "four-way" stretch? i assume the black ones are 4 way, but want to be sure for future reference! thanks!

Also, got my in the flow plum crops today and they are very thick and tight, in a good way. my inkwell ones almost feel like they are too big in the same size. not sure if those have stretched or if these are different. i was worried that i needed to size down but i don't think so.

Kind of off topic, but I got my plum Energy Bra in the mail today and LOVE it. It's my first bra in this style and it's just so comfy. The color is pretty too.

The one thing I noticed was that there are new removable cups! Mine came with a pair that are darker in color than the old ones, and even better, they now show which one goes in the left and right pockets (labeled with a L or R) and it has an arrow that shows which direction faces up! No more confusion anymore. Yay!

CJ said...

I also got the new Ziggy Wee High/Low Wunder Unders and was surprised at the luon. It does feel more slinky/thin/stretchy and unlike most luon, but they fit pretty well and I had no sheerness issues. I personally love the adjustability of the band!

The Way We Were said...

I am with that asian girl as I like to match overjacket with my tank inside. haha ...

Anonymous said...

if you wash and dry nylon on hot you risk melting it!!! it will not shrink!!! sell them or use the draw string to tighten at the waist! or save them for your fatter days- god knows I have days like that when I throw on my shorts that are bigger and i'm always glad I have them ;)

Anonymous said...

This is OT, but has anyone heard whether or not we'll be seeing some plain ol' not highwaisted WUP or C in plum?

Anonymous said...

I got my pow stripe raspberry glo CRB today and unlike the one shown above, the front hem stitch is sewn in a u shape and just stitching itself is horrible! And of course back is sewn perfectly. I thought LLL was improving their quality control? I don't know whether to keep it or send it back and be out $5 for shipping!

Regarding quality issues: I was just in a high-end athletic wear boutique and tried Stella,y-3, splits59, adidas, etc. The pants were almost ALL sheer, extremely thin, ill-fitting, non-compressive and showed crack when bending over! (there was a stella crop equivalent to a beachrunner ($120)that had threads hanging and ripply seams) The only ones that weren't were splits59 & those gave me MT. Totally unacceptable for a yogi and pilates participant! Conclusion--LULULEMONS WORST IS STILL BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSES BEST.
The one exception IMO is yogasmoga.

Anonymous said...

I received my plum hi/lo wu's and the striped skinny wills today--both were AMAZING and not sheer. I also received the ziggys and they are very nylon-y feeling, but looked good. The reason I like the high waist is it smooths everything out under a tank and keeps everything covered during inversions!
Can anyone tell me if they have changed the crbs at all? They seem to fit/look different lately...

Anonymous said...

yea yogabodhi I agree I have my beefs w/ lulu and been shoping w/ them since they had there first stores in Vancouver bc btw and even thougn I miss the cute ruffle detail of a couple of years ago and minor thing like that they are still ahead of everyone else and they're cuts for pants are so so far above anyone else I still spend most all my fitness dollar budget on lulu!!!

Anonymous said...

I agree with yogabodhi and 5:03 I went to the equinox NYC store which has splits 59 lorna jane and a few others and I noticed the same problem with the items, also not enough interesting designs. The Nike run store also has high end stuff that is quite expensive and does not compare in quality with lulu. I like to check out other brands but keep coming back to lulu, because their designs are fun and functional.
The cheernes factor seems to be a problem with all the manufacturers out there.
