OT: I wore my new black wunder under crops today. I thought they were ok, but after a wear, I realized there's still some sheerness in a deep knee bend ( I noticed this on my thighs in a leg press, not in the butt area), the rise is definitely higher and they just feel odd. I'm not impressed. I was hoping for the best, and this is not it.
Thankfully I have two pair stashed w tags on from 2008. I keep putting off wearing them so I have a supply for the future.
Sooooo disappointed. These WUC will become casual knock around crops.
@LLA
Would you say the fit in normal? I've been hearing that its tighter.
For some reason, the mellow yellow looks really washed out... but I find it's a nice bright light yellow.
Talking about "Made in Canada", I would like to see more Power Y tanks is OLD SCHOOL LUON, not the CHEAP LUON LIGHT crap ! I'm loving my Power Y tanks bought a few months ago like Very Green that are nice thick Luon ! :)
I own the Hills pullover in this color! I forgot it was Mac n Cheese! I loved this yellow and plan on getting the new Sizzle, even though it looks "green" based. Interesting enough when I wear my burning yellow tank to Bikrams yoga it bleeds green although it looks orange based.
OT I just got my dazzling "breeze by" skort (or whatever it's called, the orange skirt) from wmtm, and I love it so much I am tempted to buy another color! But I will just wear this one out and spend my money on something else! I love the pockets on both legs, one for keys and one for phone! (walks, not runs)
@ anon 6:54 pm - it's definitely not loose fitting but it doesn't seem too out of family with most of my CRBs. I'll do a comparison with some of my other CRBs tomorrow and see.
@7:04
Omg I know!! I've been ebaying older power Ys and I can see the difference in thickness and quality! I'm relatively new to lulu (started jan 13) so I didn't know what old lulu was until I bought a gently used one. I remember trying on the newer loun light crap and thinking to myself, "and why are people crazy about this...?"
BRING BACK OLD LUON! Says the newbie who JUST discovered lululemon.
ITA about the older style Power Ys. I hate light luon Power Ys. The new ones are also ridiculously long. I have just one of the new style - the Power Purple and aquamarine bold stripe since it's so cute but I truly prefer the full weight luon power Y.
OT, but how do you wear a bang buster? Do you wear it like a normal headband, or over your head- it just seems so wide to me!
Have you seen the press release from lll posted on lulumum site. Lll is now blaming the sheer problem on us, apparently we are wearing the wrong size. Its simple for me at least, I don't buy their pants, I have now been buying althleta and ys pants.I love the fit, compression and non sheer. This is the last nail in the lll coffin. I now only buy lll crb made in cananda and energy bra. Lll has taken it to far, its sad cuz we so wanted the product to be what it once was, time to move on luluaddicts, the company does not care about us, their customers.
I agree... I have not bought and kept any luon light power Y yet. I have bought a couple and tried to keep it but had to sell it NWT on eBay because the fabric is just not forgiving. I have about 6 old luon power y and love those.
OT. I want to ask others here whether their CRB is too long for them. I'm 5'3" and find them so long like a tunic. When I do any kind of squats or sit ups, they fold back up. I would prefer to hem a couple of inches off but don't do it because of resell. Also, the slight curve of them hem will be gone. I love my CRB except for the length. What do you all do.. The not so tall gals?
Ugh... It's that time again where my drawers won't close.. Too much luon and luxtreme. I have to purge some of my luon again.
@ anon 4:03 am - I've seen some chatter but haven't pulled up any articles. It seems to be getting play more in Canadian papers so I'll have to search out the links.
I think it's bullshit, though. In pants from 5 years ago you could easily squeeze yourself into two sizes down and they still wouldn't go sheer, just get shiny. I don't understand why they can't find their old luon recipe.

@ anon 2:47 am - I wear it like a normal headband.
Totally OT - how does Zella sizing compare to LLL. I am a 4 in old Luon and 6 in Lux, Zella has xs 0-2 and sm 4-6. How do you guys like Zella, is sizing and material compare to old LLL??
LLL..is full of shit. Ive been a customer for well over 12 years. based on the measurements I told the GEC and was advised by their size chart online....Im a size 8 in their Grooves. I ordered a size 8 based on what their chart said...and they were way too big!! In the end, I went to try on grooves in the store and size 4 & 6 was good. Size 6 fit nice, size 4 skin tight...and it showed off my nice bum. I preferred the size 6.
Now...that was when I was 5'6...122 lbs. Had a baby, gained 60lbs, worked hard.....and now Im 5'6....110 lbs! :) So Im betting I could easily be a size 4 now. I never go on LLLs stupid chart--always found it to be way off... Im not a huge lover of LLLs luon. The feel made my skin crawl....so I buy Lulu bottoms that are only made in swift, organic cotton and french terry fabric only. Glad because Ive never had to deal with any of their see-thru issues in bottoms.... :) Ugh Lulu...get your shit together before you bankrupt yourself!!
2:47 I also wear mine like a normal head band. those puppies stay put, they are great for when I race sail boats, my hair is unruly and the bangbuster keeps it under control.
In terms of the sheerness of the luon and luxtreme fabric, looks like you would have to be a stick to keep those pants from being sheer.

I know... We keep hoping things get better but they haven't much... I did think the contempos looked very durable and was interested in one but then I saw a review of a ras glo one with shoddy seams and it turned me off.
I really want some crbs but they are so much thinner than when I purchased the ray and flare (I think) last summer, those were both made in Cambodia and my ray kept absorbing what ever other color sports bra I was wearing..then I sold the flare cause I never wore it.... I now only have my heathered power purple, XL heathered coal with ray stitching inside and the thick black ziggy patern I mostly wear casualy. I wear the heck out of my reversible dense purple and black WUC but they do slide down a lot and I prefer my power purple ziggy embossed? WUC but I had to search through a pile of those before I found ones that were nice and thick. I did recently buy some groovy shorts the black with power purple trim and "girlish" waist band and I've been wearing them non stop, I think the aquamarine in them is soooo pretty! It looks washed out in pictures but its lovely. I hope these hold up cause lately a lot has been crappy. Super long post right? Lol!
Tried the sizzle crb in store today. Nice bright true yellow. Soft. I did not think it was smaller than usual in my usual size. Wanted to love it but it showed too many of my flaws :( I did get the new charming headband which I like a lot. Spry bc that color is just gorg.
One would think that Lulu would have learned from Abercrombie and Fitch's stance that "If you are too fat to wear our clothes, then don't". A&F's horribly arrogant, smug and snotty attitude towards their customers resulted in plummeting stock shares and slow sales as well as enraging and alienating thousands of potential customers. Jack in The Box is the gold standard on how to handle a product crisis. Back in the 90's, they served hamburger that resulted in the death of a little girl from E. Coli. This event could have shut them down permanently. Jack in the Box accepted full responsibility at the time, apologized and then did everything it could to ensure product safety. They are now a text book example in many business schools on how to properly perform crisis management.
Oooh, sizzle seems like a true bright yellow!
Do we have one for Spry blue yet? Or in the archives?
@ 4:34 AM, I'm 5'5" and CRB's used to be a lot longer and I would always have them hemmed at least 1.5 to 2". For me, they are now not a problem as they seem to have settled on a decent length. However, that said, when I was getting them hemmed (still decent in length), it was all about what works for me and having a fuss free workout. I was totally not worrying about resale! I did sell some of my less fave ones. When I posted for sale I would include the length of the CRB's and the people that bought them never had a problem.
Re: bangbuster. This headband does not work for me. I have smooth, fine hair and the bb is too wide and just slides off. I think it works better for someone with thick hair or curly hair?
I have the Mellow lemon CRB and love it! It is a very tasteful yellow. I'll have to see Sizzle in person but I'm pretty sure it is a pass for me.
ugh, i read the articles about wearing the wrong size. its really easy to just walk away after reading something like that, its just such bullshit.
im officially embarrassed to wear any of my old lulu, i just don't want to be associated with the brand.
as a customer, im offended. at least its an easy choice not to spend a dime with them in the future though.
time to move on:)
Anyone have any feelings on how Sizzle compares to Burning Yellow? I really liked Burning Yellow.
Thanks!

Anon @ 9:42 AM...
You said it right ! "Lulu get your shit together before you bankrupt yourself !!" My thoughts exactly !
Stop the BS and get your act together ! You're loosing valuable loyal customers. Shame on you for blaming us for your quality issues.
I have the mellow lemon/burning yellow warm up crew (NWT) and I've seen sizzle in the store. Burning yellow is much more orange. I think I've read someone liken it to a sunflower yellow whereas sizzle is really a true yellow like a crayola crayon or the yellow in a rainbow. Hope that helps.
Needless to say this crew still has the tags on it because I was disappointed in the color. It looked so much warmer online than in person that I'm not really crazy about it. At least I only paid $29.
I saw the Sizzle CRB in person in store and took a pass. It is a true bright yellow, not neon, but I took a pass. I love Mellow Lemon and have that CRB, so if I owned Sizzle, it would never get picked over ML or the other colours I have. I also did not care for Love Red, which is towards a tomato orange. I didn't care for Currant either. LLL has not made a red in recent years that I dig.
I got the sizzle speed shorts and already have the burning yellow ones. The sizzle color is closer to true primary yellow. burning yellow has a tad more orange in it, it is not as happy in my opinion. the sizzle speed shorts are 4 way swift which is a plus for me. love running in them.
M
Thanks for the burning yellow/sizzle comparisons!
I think I'll stick with my burning yellow stuff. I don't really look good in 99% of yellows, so I was suprised the burning yellow worked. I think sizzle wouldn't.

I fold mine part way, they look way to big on me also
