The zipper pull on the plum scuba, is that sizzle or a greenish yellow?

I'm dying for a review of the in the zen halter and how if it pulls on the neck... Any help??

I think the style of the Blissed Out Jacket looks cute but I am not sure about the Tencel.

OT: Anyone notice that the swimline is gone from the Canadian website. What happened to all of it?

@ anon 11: 12 am - I'm thinking it's Sizzle

When will the Runsie be uploaded? And sizzle speed shorts?

Really diggin' the plum and slate denim. Would love some denim WUC in that fabric.
The terry shorts are cute for loungewear, but the asking price is outrageous. It's not a technical fabric, it's bathrobe material, for goodness' sake! Lulu is laughing at us all the way to the bank with these types of products. Would it really kill them to sell the casual items at a more appropriate price?

Ugh...there's like three scubas I want and its hot outside. I want the plum striped one,the slate one, and the grey/sizzle....I'll probably go with the first two. Luckily for me, they haven't been selling out new scuba colors so I can stretch out my purchases.

Anon 11:24 I just got home from purchasing the H2bZ halter in both spry blue and sizzle. The neck is kind of weird where it ties behind...kind of hard to explain, but I wasn't expecting it to be anything but straightforward... Anyway, I don't think it pulls on the neck any more that any other halter type top, in fact I find the scoop necks, both old and new to be more bothersome.

I found the top to be a bit big in my TTS, and long on me, but I'm only 5'4", I will definitely have to have it hemmed 2". I don't suggest sizing down if you are busty because you will lose fabric over that area in a size down, but if you are less endowed sizing down might be an option. I was really wanting the sizzle, but when I put the spry blue close to my skin it looked nicer and I think it has a bit of retro 50's look with the white stripes down the middle and sides.

I also bought the Amped pants (because they are not "crops" on me lol) in black but I can see the tag through the fabric. Sizzle halter and Amped Crops going back to the store. More money for the fall colors.

blissed out shorts are cute but not for 58 bucks when i can get the same thing in the target pj section for 18.

I saw the plum scuba in person. The zipper pull and the grosgrain ribbon inside looks more greenish than sizzle but maybe its just me.

Thank goodness everything uploaded is ugly and unflattering. Been waiting for something I want to buy but just not happening lately...

Scubas are @ Santana Row, SJ CA & the colors are waaay more saturated than how it shows in the pics. Go up a size & the scuba fits perfect, long in length (I'm 5'4" 135 lbs yogini body w/ a short torso & the scuba in a sz 10 is abt an inch above my V) & nicely porportioned in the body. In my regular sz 8, the shoulders look baggy on me, the body's too tight & squashes my hips making the top of the hoodie body puff up swallowing my neck. I noticed that the blue one (its really saturated pastel blue) w/ the stripes is scarce or gone in all the sizes. IMHO, its the most flattering color on everyone & really pops! The grey, plum, etc. were also scarce or gone in all the sizes. The pink plum stripey one is a pretty color, but w/ my tan skin, drk brown eyes & highlighted drk brwn & blonde hair, the color didn't pop on me. It also had the most scubas left in all the sizes. No one was trying it on either.

Are the new Scubas online? I don't see them.. :( (I'm Canadian, BTW).

Has anyone else found that their Yogasmoga crops had a strong chemically smell?

I've worn and washed mine two times now and the smell is still there.

I love the fit, the fabric is good and opaque (no tags, no butt cracks) but that smell :/

Anonymous said...

i love those scuba colors!!! if they were "vintage" i'd buy a couple.

i don't mind the tencel insert on the new jacket--if it was thicker french terry it might look too bulky. those jackets look like they run small/short. i don't think Lululemon understands that "jackets" and "thick hoodies" are worn when you want warmth and coverage.

Anonymous said...

I was hoping we would see those new scuba colours on the upload! My closest store is 8 hours away and I would love the grey one!

Anonymous said...

Yes, my yogasmoga crops still smell months later and I won't buy anymore. If I wash them with my lulu some of the smell gets on the lulu items too. Not good.

Anonymous said...

@2:21 PM - yes, my YogaSmoga crops also have a chemically smell that hasn't gone away after a couple of washes. I thought it was just me since I haven't seen anyone comment on this. Haven't yet, but I was going to contact YogaSmoga about this. I like the crops otherwise but not sure I can get past this smell.

Anonymous said...

Were the black amped crops online? I only saw the soot and spry blue

Anonymous said...

@ anon 2:21
My Yogasmoga crops had that chemical smell as well. I've only worn and washed them twice, seems like it is fading but can still smell it.

scubas look rediculous on everyone look like baby jackets- not a look i care for- makes the bum look long and big another look i'm not trying to achieve!!! longer length equels warmth and more figure flatering and i'm 5'4" so no short people chimming in i am all about length people always tell me they can't believe i'm so short- well i wear longer tops always! it elongates a short torso! did i spell that right? ha ha ha!!1

Anonymous said...

I got the blue yogasmoga crops months ago, they smelled very chemically in the beginning. The smell has not completely gone away but is much less now.

I just got the blue scuba from Santana row.. Very pretty! I was hoping they would have the grey one with the yellow cuffs (no luck).

hi anon July 23, 2013 at 2:21 PM - I also just got my second pair of Yogasmogas and definitely noticed the smell. I am returning them for another size (Despite the 12+ week wait - boo) so hopefully the next pair may be better? I got the crops a couple weeks ago but didn't get any smell there. In the ones I am returning I sized down (which a lot of the early buzz mentioned) but they are too tight, so size wise I am TTS for YS and LLL, hope that helps someone.

liz said...

Where are you guys seeing the Scubas? Are they in stores only? i don't see them online (US)?? =(

dixie said...

South Coast Plaza had the Blissed Out shorts and jacket. They also had a few pairs left of the Voyage sweatpants in Love Red. I tried on the Blissed Out shorts even though I think they are ridiculously overpriced. I stayed TTS in a 4 but they were very big and baggy all around that I would have needed to size down to a 2 but they don't make it. Also tried on the Voyage sweatpants in Love Red. They had no give in the waist band when pulling them up (I think this was already talked about) and they were a nice fit through the butt/thighs but too flarey for me and way too long.

I just bought the plum Scuba hoodie at the MOA store in Bloomington, MN. They also had the blue slate, slate commuter denim, and the plum striped hoodies. Salesperson told me they were flying off the shelves. The plum Scuba fit like all the other Scubas I own, but the slate commuter denim seemed extra tight in the shoulders. Maybe a fluke? Also, it might just be my eyesight, but I think the zipper pull on the plum hoodie is ever-so-slightly greener than sizzle.

Anonymous said...

@Liz- my store had them in stock, but didn't send out a product update, so probably worth stopping in. It looked like they only got 2 of each size in each color, so if you have your heart set on one i'd go! they also had the black amped crops and a few other things that weren't online.

so basically- don't wait for an email saying they've got them in stock, call or stop in.

also for thsoe asking about the zipper pull on the plum scuba, it looks awfully green to me and not sizzle.

The elastic on the bottom of the Blissed Out jacket reminds me far too much of a Members Only jacket. I know retro is in, but some things need to skip that phase and remain confined to the past.

The shorts are cute though.

Yup, I returned a pair of blue YS crops because of that chemical smell that did not fade after 2 washes, smelled up the other items I washed it with, and stunk up the laundry room. They took them back without any issue and my replacement ones hardly smelled at all, just faintly. I think this might be something they need to hear from us on.

Anonymous said...

MY Yogasoga crops smelled like potato chips or something, maybe it a chemical. It hasn't gone away after two washings. boo :(

luluFemom said...

I, too, had issues with the smell on my YogaSmogas and I contacted them about it (this is way back during the LLA promotion - my pants and crops weren't back ordered, so I got them months ago) - I got a lulu-esque response that they did have a "batch" that had a strong chemical smell due to some finishing step during manufacturing, but that future products should not have the smell. I wash all my workout gear in a vinegar rinse and The Laundress detergents (which are pretty mild, so maybe Tide would get rid of it faster) and even after several washes, it's still noticeable. I never wear them for that reason...

Anonymous said...

@RunLikeTheWind - Totally agree with you - why would I pay so much for a plain terry short that is not made of technical fabric? don't get it - what are they thinking?

@anon 3:37 I am happy with my yogasmoga crops. My first pair I ordered a couple of months ago and it had a faint chemical smell that went away after a couple of washes. I received two more recently that were on pre-order and there is no smell - perhaps they have taken the feedback and fixed whatever issue there was for the new orders.

The Amped pants in black looks really cute but they're not available on the U.S. website yet. Has anyone seen them in the store? I would love to check it out.

kmick said...

For the people with the problem of the smelly yogasmoga items, try putting vinegar in the washing machine with them (about 1 cup w/ regular amount of detergent should do the trick)

Anonymous said...

I saw these Scubas @ the Santana Row store, San Jose CA.

Regarding the yogasmoga crop's smell, I own 2 pairs (so far). I did find they had a faint smell, I guess you could say "chemical". I didn't find it offensive in any way, I also find "fresh" lulu to have a smell (that I associate with new stuff and like! haha). I've found the smell has decreased with a couple washes and I hardly notice it. For me their functionality more then makes up for it. I love them! I am admittedly not very smell sensitive however, maybe it's because I'm a nurse. ;) I ordered 2 pairs of crops in my lulu size, (blue and pink) I am happy with the fit but did order a black pair in a size down (thought it safer to try smaller in black than in pink and after a work out I notice a bit of bagginess in the crotch/front). They are currently on pre-order so I will report back when I get them!

Is that a super close up, or is the logo on the hood of the plum scuba HUGE?!?!?

Anonymous said...

I don't know why people are still upset about the Scuba length. I have two (alberta lake herringbone with unlined hood, and mellow lemon with lined hood) and although the unlined hood version was 1.5-2 inches shorter, I find the mellow lemon to be just as long as my older scubas from a few years ago. I think they went back to the original length.

I think my YS smell like popcorn. Lol.

On me these scubas are really short. out of the 4 new scubas i felt the plum fits better than the others. i do find they run a bit small too. I'm 5'6 and don't consider myself to have a really long torso. i went to 2 Vancouver stores today and they had a few of all colours and sizes. hope that helps.

Anonimouse said...

@ kmick, thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that.

Thanks anony 12:20AM! I have a family member flying to Van on THursday and I'm hoping he can pick up a scuba for me in the striped grey or the blue striped one! :)

OT...I cant BELIEVE the fast declining quality of Lulu clothing. Ive been a customer for well over 12 years. Use 20% of my Lulu to sweat in and the remaining 80% as comfy loungewear. In this past year alone, Ive had to call the GEC at least 4 times.....regarding items that had been washed a whole 3 times and already coming apart at the seams. All items, were items I dont sweat in and washed on delicate in cold water, hung to dry!! After not even 3 washes, noticed snags and threads coming undone! This is appalling for items that are costing $50 and up! I call them now and they are very good about helping me out.....but it certainly makes me wonder about the future of this company?! I dont think Lulu is headed in a very good direction right now. Def. the quality is NOT what it use to be! :( I just wish Lulu would go back to making everything in Canada & the US... They wouldn't have to issue out apologies & gift cards, if they just did it "right" the first time!

Anon 9:38 -
I don't get it either. I have two...and the new length is 2" longer than the super short verison. I'm 5'7 and haven't had issues with the length.

There has been a lot of snarky comments saying how these hoodies looked terrible on these girls. They look great, especially the picture of the three girls towards the bottom of the post. With the exception of a few, more than likely sized too small, they don't make them look boxy or make their butts look big. I think some people just like to complain....its easy to be a bitch when you're hidden behind a computer.

I think they look great on the girls. I'm looking forward to seeing them in the store.

Anonymous said...

I bought the gray denim one at the store today. I can defnitely see there is an improvement in the cut. Not sure why everyone is complaining about the length. I always thouht they were fine. But the old scubas had too tight of a chest and these new ones have more space now. I also tried on the blue one. For some reason, I thought the blue one was looser.

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 10:52 am - what are the four items that are falling apart?

ITA with they should go back to making stuff in Canada and the US. That would really send a signal to their customers they are getting serious about improving quality.

Anonymous said...

Ick city on any of this new stuff. Scuba sure, but it's the Scuba Stretch. I will never buy the SStretch as they are no where near comparable to old Scuba, even one bought in early 2012.

YogaSmoga crops smelling - I'm another one that has noticed. I've only washed them once though but have yet to wear them. I realise it's not great that they smell but I do expect it to fade wit washes. My recollection serves me well that others have complained about certain LLL items also smelling in the past (not the clammy smell, but chemically smell) and others weighed in that over time, it faded.

Anonymous said...

LLA--My items that have been falling apart...Mula undies, Swiftly tech tanks and a couple of shirts (Ts) from Lulu. All had seams coming apart or unravelling. :( The Swiftly items, snags on the inside which led to holes and unravelling hems. Not good... :(

Got a few things in the mail this week:

1: Blue yoga smoga crops
The fit is beautiful (Lulu TTS), the compression is good, and the colour is stunning, but the opaqueness is maybe 90%.... I'd be a bit self-conscious doing a deep bend in these. The fabric is way better than the luon from the last few years but not as good as my original WUs. No problem with chemical smell or too-tight calves. The T-shirt was a thoughtful addition but the saying on the front is too dorky.

2: Breathe and Release tank
The fabric and the open back feel fabulous. The fit is baggy and sloppy.

3: I scored a reversible Oqoqo dress on eBay in hot pink and orange. I love Oqoqo! The dress is wonderful!

I bought two of the clam digger crops in Raspberry Glo and Cool Breeze. I bought my usual size 6, but I'm noticing comments that these run large.

I hope I didn't make a mistake...I really wish I tried them on in the store, but I was worried they would sell out before I could get there after work.

I didn't want to risk the pants being too tight...I figured it would be worse to have pants that too tight, when the fit is supposed to be loose. I'm just worried that they won't stay up without the draw string.

I'm just using them for golf, when I have relaxed days like the range. I go out there in crops because its been lik 90+ degrees, but I would prefer to have some comfy crops that aren't so tight fitting. Maybe since I'm doing a lower impact sport, they won't be that bad....fingers crossed.

Anonymous said...

I ordered my soot clam digger crops sized down to a 2 from my usual size 4 WU size. They fit jsut right, still really loose in the leg/backside area but they are supposed to fit like that. I think you'll be fine, because I cuold definitley fit a size 2 WU or groove pant so I'm mostly in between. I almost ordered the cool breeze clam digger on WMTM last night but they are too long for me and i'm 5'4. They make me look shorter.
OH I bought the Sizzle festival bag on markdown last night as well. Score.
