Yes please.

ooo...i might need ALL of those! i skipped the classic stripe black/white CRB, and regret it..the twin stripe might be a necessary replacement. spry blue looks pretty, but it seems very similar to beach blanket blue in this pic, and i already have a BBB CRB.

A little OT, but I was hoping someone could help me out. I currently wear a 4 in CRBs and wanted to try buying a regular luon power y off ebay (never had the chance to try these on before the current ones came out) - will I also be a 4 in the power y or should I size up? I do wear a 6 in the flow Y bra (which I hear runs small anyway?)...

I like the Spry blue! Cute.

Anon @ 1:55, I wear a 4 in the CRB and a 4 in the regular weight Luon Power Y and Flow Y. I wear a 2 in Luon Light Power Y. I'm a 32C/D. My guess is you might want a 6 if you wear a 6 in the bra. My mom goes with her bra size in tanks with a built-in, which is one size up from what she normally wears.

I usually don't like stripes, but I really like both those striped tanks!

Anon@1:55 - I wear a 4 in CRB but a 6 in the regular luon Power Y. The 4 was too tight in the rib cage for me. It looked ok, but it was uncomfortable. The regular luon Power Ys seem to run slightly smaller than the luon light ones.

That spry blue striped is similar to the SeaWheeze one :)

It's nice they've made something non-juvenile. However, I'm not into stripes at all, so I'm safe. I do fall for blue, so will look at the Spry Blue and definitely want the Soot one.

@ 1:55, I'm the same as you and think you should size up to a 6 based on the Flow Y for the Power Y's built in. Although, I'm not an expert on whether or not they've changed the sizing on the Power Y.

Picked up the hook me up bra in beach blanket blue on MD. Love those blues!

Can anyone tell me how Spy Blue compares to Frisby from a few years back......if anyone remembers that color????? It was my favorite lulu color!!!!! Love your blog LLA!!!

Hmmm, anon 1:55, I think I would get the power y in a 6 if it's one of the older ones. I haven't tried any of the new ones that came out recently, but I just wore my black and white wee stripe, luon power y the other day and it is a much more trim fit compared to my crbs through the belly. I was given a Paris Pink Power Y in a 4 when that color was out and it was tight around the ribcage where the bra band was even though it fit my belly fine. I wear a size 6 in the flow y bra. I'll be interested to see how others review this tank's sizing.

@Anon 1:55pm - I usually wear a 6 in CRBs and I've never found the power Y tank to work for me as the 6 always seemed really tight and the 8 a bit too big. I do like the power Y bra though and I wear an 8 in that. Hope that helps!

On another note, I went to my Lulu store today and was disappointed to find no new items :( I was on the hunt for a soot or spry blue CRB and the new polka dot energy bra. Alas, none to be had.

OK, I'm surprised, but love these tanks. I think Lulu WAY, WAY overdoes the stripes, and horizontal stripes especially does not do anyone any favors. I have always been surprised at how popular they are. But now I'm in for one of these striped tanks.

Anonymous said...

Im sorry, but all these tank patterns and colours--MEH.... :(

Any idea when this weeks upload will happen? Still Monday night? Thoughts?

I wear a 4 in a CRB and also have a 4 in the older regular Power Ys. My Power Y is from about two years ago. It is definitely snug fitting but not constricting. It's nice because I can wear it for yoga or for running and I feel supported. For reference I'm 117lbs and a 32B. Although I don't have one, I've tried the flow y bra on in a 4 and that would be my size. The 6 is too big for me. good luck!

If anyone has a comparison of Spry Blue to Beach Blanket Blue I would so appreciate it as I already have the BBB CRB and won't get the Spry Blue one if it is similar.

ok so to the MEH person, is it always you who comments MEH? What do you like in the lulu colour spectrum? I'm curious to know. I just received the nimbus stripe CRB. Very happy to see it was made in Canada! Can't wait for the soot CRB and new wrap to be uploaded:)

Was the groovy stripe/Raspberry energy bra uploaded on the last upload. I do not remember seeing it, but it is on the Lulu website now.

Only the soot for me...love the pink (raspberry glo?) stitching on the reverse side!

@ anon 6:50 pm - It was stealth uploaded on Friday.

Yes, love the twin stripes! Saw a Scoop Me Up in black twin stripes with solid black trim in a product notification a couple (?) of weeks ago. Will definitely get it if uploaded Monday. ;)

Ohh, I am so happy for spry blue. So, very happy. I'll pass on the stripe because I have the SeaWheeze one, but I am super stoked at the possibilities for built-in tanks (and the CRB looks beautiful). Hoping it comes in the Fast Track. Tried that on yesterday and fell in love - just not with the current colors out. Crossing fingers ...

Wow, thank you for all your input. I actually just won a charcoal power y size 4 on ebay, now I'm kind of experiencing buyer's remorse, LOL. Maybe I'll try finding a 6 for comparison! I'm a 34B chest so I'm suspecting it'll probably be a bit tight :(

Does anyone know what color tank is featured in the photo if you click on "women" and look under "accessories" then "bags"? It looks like a turquoise tank with zippy trim.

I want that tank!

OT- just received my raspberry glo clam diggers along with soot. The soot are great. However, what is up with the thread color on ras glo? It doesn't even closely match and makes the pants look super cheap. Even my ten year o,d thought they looked hilarious! So these are going back. I'm interested in iconic wrap since I don't yet have a wrap. Are they prettier than blessed out? That one looked like it had ten extra yards of material. Lol

So my Mod Moves crops angered me this morning. I loved them in the store....loved how they enhanced the bum, fit well, and had great pockets. Last week they bunched up at the knees when I wore them. Annoying because I didn't want a pair of knee length crops and the bunching was not very flattering. I gave them a second chance this morning and I heard a few snap, crackle, and pops when I put them on. I was riding the metro and had serious un-raveling on both legs of the front mid thigh area. Embarassing.

I am pissed off. I don't have high expectations of Target or TJ Maxx, but a pair of $15 yoga pants are essentialy disposable to me when I can replace a fautly pair.

I do have moderate and reasonable expectations for $88 pair of yoga pants. It angers me. I am tired of returning clothes because they didn't hold up. There are quite a few people who complain about the seams, but that doesn't stop them from pulling the product. The seams cannot support the material in the front diagonally.

I shouldn't have to guess my size on core products or have to worry about returning new purchases because it bleeds, frays, or shows my bum. I should have been able to try on my clothes as I exercise, and have the right to return them if they don't perform the way a piece of workout clothing is expected to. Is it too much to ask to have clothes that meet the expectations of the price, without having to play a guessing game of quality or receive a snide eye from an educator....especially when a so-called educator couldn't "educate" me most LLL products?

I'm agravated that I have to waste part of my day to return another disappointing and faulty product, just to get another eyeroll from a cashier, when it should have been fixed by the company to begin with.

@Anon 6:44, I say, "Meh," sometimes too. There were a lot of weeks in a row where I felt like that, but the Spry & Soot had me warning my husband that he might want to hide all plastic!

Anonymous said...

Anon @ 4:20 ...I totally hear you. I had the same issue with my Mod Moves crops. And, yesterday, my new groovy stripe energy bra straps bled on my white shirt. I wasn't even sweating! And I had followed the care instructions to the letter (even hand washed twice in cold water prior to wear).

The best part is when I called the GEC I was told they'd not heard of the raspberry glo light bleeding issue!!!! Which is total BS because they state ON THE TAG that it could bleed. The rep kept telling me to take it to my store, even after I told her I'm non confrontational and don't like feeling like a criminal for returning faulty merchandise. Ugh.

Anonymous said...

I returned my Ras Glo too. I saw a returned blissed out wrap in store- so glad I didn't waste money on it! Iconic wrap is awesome :)

Lol!! I was thinking the same thing!!
Maybe it's some sort of strategy?
But it's funny because there is always that "MEH" person!!

@ anon 4:20 am - I had the seams make noises (ripping?) when I tried the Mod Moves crops on it the store though I didn't see any threads popping out. I was searching through the reviews to see if I wrote about this and I don't think I did - sorry about that. I wrote it off to my chunky legs being too big for the crops but I've since read some comments by other people that the seams did this to them, too. I know one girl who was told by an educator that the seams were meant to make that noise when you wore the crops.

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 9:58 am - Bummer about the Energy bra. I really liked the Raspberry Glo Deep V when I tried it on but I am staying away from everything in that color this time around. I got the CRB last time it came out but I suspect it may have transferred color to another CRB of mine just hanging in the closet. One bleeder is more than enough for me.

Anonymous said...

Who cares about who says MEH? lol... Like seriously. Its better to hear the odd meh from various people out there...than hear about people buy who buy items in colours they know bleed and then complain all day long about how their whole life was ruined. (Ive had stuff bleed too, but I dont talk about it, because I knew before I bought it, it may bleed) I welcome the odd meh! :) We've seen so much pink, blue & purple! Where are the browns and sage greens or more very green to change things up. Pretty patterns would be awesome too! As for stripes, Ive had enough of seeing stripes..... Pass for me! :)

Anonymous said...

I'm cracking up with all the MEH comments in this thread lol
I actually laugh, and secretly love, everytime someones writes a "MEH" in a post, particularly if it's about an item that I love, because I'll have more chances to grab one! Diversity is fun and I'm glad we all don't like the same things, so there is product for every one ;-) MEH

LLLaddict,

There are diagonal seams that run across the front and back of the mid-thigh. For some reason, the stitching cannot support a four way stretch. If you hear pops, it is because you are ripping your seams. The sound is the inner seam of the pants. Luck for me, my support seams haven’t ripped….although others have complained they have been left exposed. I have large thread loops sticking out. I don’t care if it was the inner seam…..I don’t trust these crops at all….I’m not going to be mortified because I did a squat and accidently gave a show.

It’s weird….other seams on the garment are fine. You can pull them 4 ways. There was a serious design flaw, and LLL chose to ride it out instead of pulling the pants. If you hear popping, its only time before your pants start falling apart and expose the threads. Don’t let LLL tell you that you did anything wrong care wise….it’s the pants, not the person.

This isn’t the only issue I’ve had. I’ve taken back at least 25-35% of my LLL items due to quality. I had a mellow yellow LS swiftly I wore to the gym for the first time. I was also wearing a forme jacket over the swiftly and CRB under it. When I took off the jacket, a LLL jacket, there were three large picks on my shoulders. I’ve had my white SS switftly for MONTHS and it never pilled. Too many times have I worn a brand new item, and within a short time period looks like I’ve had it for years. Their 5 year guarantee is a joke….They should have a super-fine print clause under it.

This has made me seriously re-exam how much money I spend on LLL. Seriously….it’s cute, but not worth the headache worrying about the sizing or the terrible customer service. Am I going to boycott LLL completely? No…..but I won’t be dropping hundreds of dollars on clothes I’m not confident in. I’ll probably only buy CRBs, pacesetter skirts, and the occasional scuba hoodie...these newer items are nothing more than just cheap gimmics at a high price.

@ anon 1:20 pm - thanks for the explanation. I knew hearing a ripping sound when I put the pants on was not a good sign. Hence, why I left them at the store.

LuluAddict said...

They have a shit ton of mod moves crop colors, too. Probably why they didn't pull them. I don't know if all the colors make that sound but I know the first batch did.

I have e Zippy Green Mod Moves crops and did not experience any popping sounds. I just got a black pair in the mail and did not experience the popping with that pair either. I will say the black pair seems to be stretchier in the waistband, though. Both are thick too. I was nervous to try on both pairs, but may have lucked out. If I do hear any popping I will definitely return. Thanks for the info!

Anonymous said...

that is a serous bummer regarding the mod moves. I have a pair that I bought and haven't worn yet. I took a good look at them before taking them home with me and the seams looked good. Now i have to try them on to see if I have the ripping sound.
That is not a good thing. I have the zippy green ones and I will post a comment as soon as I try them for working out. They look fantastic otherwise.

What time is the new product upload?

Anonymous said...

I too have a zippy green pair of mod moves crops but have not had any popping sounds yet. I definitely heard those sounds on various pairs I tried on in the store before purchasing the pair that I have. I have noticed that the seam in the crotch is unraveling just a tiny bit. We shouldn't need to do this but I had the same problem with a pair of run inspires from last year and I was able to bring them into the store and they sent them out to have the seams restitched. So that might be an option albeit not a solution for this issue.

Anonymous said...

@ 12:03 AM, this is most likely a Spry Blue CRB with a Zippy Green CRB underneath.

As for the "meh" thread, I've thrown a "meh" out now and then, and based on comments above, a few of us have. What else can you say sometimes? I can't even be bothered to hate on it, my LLL expectations are no longer what they used to be and I've just let it go. This week as I am happy to see the Spry Blue and Soot CRB's, and my comment was positive. As for crops, mod moves etc. Sucks! I don't trust LLL crops anymore (late 2012 and later) and am glad I have many from when quality was superior.

Anonymous said...

No popping or ripping sound on my mod moves. I like them a lot and I think they fit better than the run in the sun crops from last year.
I ran 4 miles in the humid heat of NYC yesterday with my new fast track shorts, the ones with the pink waist band, I really liked them a lot. they did not ride up, I experienced no chaffing, and they look great also look great; these will also work well for hot yoga since they don't have a zipper on the back. I can fit my iphone in the side pocket as well which is a plus.

The material is thicker than the run shorty short from last year and seems more durable.
