Today's Shopping Trip

This is a photo of the inside of the Paceline Cycling shorts. This isn't the panty-liner thickness padding that has been used in previous years. This looks like a serious anatomical chamois. It is substantial - thick and kind of stiff. I guess "chamois" are made of stiff foam these days. The last time I bought cycling shorts was the in the mid-90s and my Descente shorts have an authentic leather chamois pad. I was not able to try these shorts on, though. They run really small/tight and without much stretch - super compression. I couldn't even get it past the top of my thighs. Though the website calls the material luxtreme it's not the same buttery soft luxtreme used in the run tights. This is a less stretchy, more durable feeling luxtreme that felt a lot like my polyester Moving Comfort compression shorts.

I tried on the Track Attack shorts and may I say, wow. Finally a lululemon run short that I can wear. I love the generous fit and longer length. There are already five glowing reviews on them on the website. I hope they are coming in more colors.

I also tried on the Contempo Jacket. It is super nice - very sleek. The luon is nice and thick, not like the thin luon used in the Daily Yoga jacket. The pockets have zipper closures. If this comes out in something like Bold Blue or a pretty pattern I'd consider getting one. I thought the fit was TTS.

I tried on the Power Purple Inspires wearing black underwear and I couldn't see the color through the material. I could see the outline of them but not the color. They are fun but not for me.

I went to the store today with the intent of getting the Power Purple Swiftly tank - and, yes, this one is the regular length - but the color was pretty close to Bruised Berry, which I already have, so I left it at the store.

I ended up getting this Power Y and will be returning the Power Purple/Aquamarine No Limit Tank that I ordered. I just don't care for the two-tone look in the NLT and hope some solids are coming.

That chamois looks awful. It looks hard. I like my Garneau cycling shorts for the road . Pearl Izumi sugar shorts are good for spin.

It *was* pretty stiff to the touch. I was dying to try it on to see what it felt like and was so bummed when I couldn't even get the darn thing up my legs.

I ordered a run: rise and shine pulloever in black this morning. Picked up a bleached coral/pop orange in store this weekend and it is awesome - super soft but lightweight. I can see myself wearing this a good part of the year. I also ordered the mellow yellow/burning yellow warm up crew. I am in love with this top! I have three and I wear them to/from the gym. The brushed power luxtreme is amazing. I don't use the zipper in the back at all but they come on and off easily enough without the need since it doesn't work anyway! I never saw the yellow combo in any of my local stores so was excited to grab one before they sell out.

It's a shame about the cardio kick tank because the colors are great but fit not so much if you are on the small busted side.

I went to the store today and got the Power Purple Swiftly Racerback pictured above. It's TTS and I love the extra length on it. :)

So jealous that you got so much great stuff in the WMTM section in the US today. I don't think anything new was add to the section in Canada today. I would have loved to have ordered the yellow warm up crew and maybe a couple of other things. Maybe I just missed everything on the Canadian site and it was all gone before I checked at 9am? Who knows :(

I checked at 7:30Am pacific time this morning on the WMTM and there was the heat it up crops added, new colors to the heat it up bra and shorts, a white no limit tank, lowered price on cardio kick tanks. I already got a black cardio kick tank which fits great I don't think I need anymore.

I think they changed the inspires. I went in today to try on the power purple. The calf part flared out a little, it wasn't fitted right against my skin. :( it was a pretty colour...sad that the fit wasn't right

Check back to the website - the yellow warm up crew is still there. I just checked and now there is a fresh teal and a bleached coral stripe back on. They must be getting shipments back from the stores because when I was going to my three local stores looking for them when they went down to $29 one of the stores told me they had already sent all theirs back. I would love to add a fresh teal to my collection!

Also I think there were some website problems yesterday. When I was placing my order I had to go back and redo the whole thing because the site froze up.

Happy Shopping! I love thursdays.

@ LuliDesigns 7:16 PM, there was new stuff on Canadian wmtm although not as much as the US side. Most wanted items are gone before 9 a.m. EST.

@ anon 11:31 pm - I thought the power purple ones fit a bit looser than they have been but I wrote that off to the color. Some colors seem less compressive than others but I know many people have mentioned they are finding the calf area fitting looser. I think the different mesh they are using is definitely a lot stretchier.

Thanks LLA.
It was a little annoying to hear the educator tell me they hadn't changed the inspires since last year, when I knew that they Changed the mesh just recently!

Anon 4:58am Thank-you for the tip, I will have to check earlier than 9:30am PST! Do you know what time items are added to wmtm?

Hi 9:11 Luli, it's 4:58. It is hard to say these days on a precise time for wmtm. I have seen as early as 5 a.m. EST on Thurs. It could be even earlier. I have not seen an upload as early as midnight or 1 a.m. EST. I have checked if I happen to be up that late or have woken up. Also, sometimes they haven't even done it on a Thurs. anymore. Not often, but randomly they will add earlier in the week or later in the week. If you check regularly at different times of the day or week, sometimes items or sizes previously sold out reappear for purchase too. I don't even know how that works but it happens. Good luck!

On the WMTM topic, I tried on the heat it up crops and found most of them sheer except the inkwell/yellow. The pink, very green and dune/white all sheer, front and back! I had dark blue underwear on and they showed through clear as day! In the fitting room the inkwell's did not seem sheer but who wants to go out in the middle of the store and bend over to check in better lighting!? This was friday and of course the store was busy with mother's day shoppers including several men so that was not an option - left them in the store. I liked the low rise.

Re: Power Purple Swiftly Tank - I stopped by the local store this week to check out the Swiftly Tank and I noticed that there were loose threads on the inside of the tank I tried out. Thought the tank I tried out was damaged so I went out to the racks to check out the other Power Purple Swiftly Tanks. They all had loose threads on the inside. Loved the color and fit but not going to get it because of this.

annon 10:57 I got the power purple swiftly and double checked the material and also the way it was sewn, I may have gotten a lucky one the threads look fine. I did notice that the material had a different feel, less silverscent threads and some polyester in the fabric. I love the color and will male good use of it this late spring and summer.
