I love the Specialized-Lululemon bike kits this year! Love!

Do they typically sell these kits?

The Specialized kits are awesome, and only a few stores will be getting them. I will be stalking my local store, which is one of the ones getting them.

I beg to differ... I think it is pretty, pretty ugly that is.
To me, it looks as if these women had randomly been thrown paint in a variety of colors as they ride their bikes!

I know you love the floral, LLA, but this is dreadful.

I have a quick, general returns questions I was hoping this community could help me out with--I bought something from the WMTM section and took off the product tag but not the rip tag. Then I noticed that there was a design flaw in the item and email gec a picture. They said "please take it into your local store and an educator will make it right for you." Am I going to be out of luck when I get to the store because the product tag is off the item? Thanks so much for your help!

@ anon 1:41 pm - Floral prints are super trendy right now.

@ anon 2:58 p m- I think people said you can get them at some bike shops. I'd write or call lululemon and see where you can find them. They won't be uploaded to the website.

As a Cyclist, there is no way in hell I would wear this kit. Ever. Heinous!

I'm a huge fan of SHS and I think this is gorgeous! I get so sick of Armstrong Yellow and all the other traditional colors. This is unique and very stylish. I'm not a cycler though but love this design.

Some trends should be avoided... ;)

Anon at 2:24 re returns: I'm sure every store is different but I had no problem returning a swiftly v neck today of which I had ripped the tags and size tag off - I still had the hang tag, though and brought that in. My beef was that I purchased 2 v neck swiftlys in size six. BBB (the one I returned) was clearly an inch wider, an inch longer and a deeper v than the very green. I went in expecting nothing but thought it wouldn't hurt to inquire. the ed agreed it was a bummer and gave me a gift card.

OT - Cardio Kick tank is not moving at all. Either no one really likes it or they were over confident about this design and made tons of this tank.

Their Singapore showroom just opened yesterday and it was kinda sad seeing some people buying this tank at full price (plus jacked up prices for Asia, at least USD20 more regular online price).

I like the SHS print so I think it's nice. It is a change from the traditional models/print/colors as Ching-A-ling has mentioned. I'm with you LLA and floral is the trend right now. I would wear this.

@ 2:24 PM, it is a quality issue which they should try to make right at any time in the life of the garment, especially in the early days. When you read reviews and people are experiencing quality issues soon after wear, there is usually a GEC comment to say bring it in so they can review/do something for you.

If you are EVER unhappy due to a LLL garment falling apart, don't just live with it, bring it in for them to resolve.

i don't hate it but don't love it either? it saddens me to read all the poor press lulu is getting- and much deserved don't get me wrong- it happens to every ONCE GREAT retailer who was local and smaller, once they go int GLOBAL EXPANTION MODE: "Get big or get out" they start cutting corners cheapening product etc., i've seen this alot w/ food products too. and to boot the price stays the same or goes up, even though they've cut their production costs and added profits by stealth (massive growth), its called corporate greed, then come the mergers/aquisitions, I talked about this a bit that bet you down the road Nike or some such big monster brand will buy out lulu- then watch it become even more big box style apparel: AINT GLOBALISM (IE.CORPORATISM) GREAT?? Yes for a very few at the top but for the rest of us it gives us subpar merch, higher controled prices, and a look thatis more uniform no individuality specialness etc. Go to any town accross america strips of shops w/ the same old big box stores, eateries, no more (hardly anyway) special mom and pop unique to each region specialty shops/eateries, even the buildings are cheapily built almost as if they are meant to be temporary- no structures that have character stability like the old days (castles anyone?) ha ha ha

Anon 9:06 - I've noticed they've also posted Cardo Kick in the regular-priced tank section at the WMTM price. Haven't seen that tactic before. Just mark it down to $19 and call it a day.

@ anon 7:03 am - I agree. I'm starting to think companies that don't go public are better. They don't have the incentive to pump stock price at the expense of the product. I wish the Wall Street analysts looked at the product and not the balance she when it came to valuating the stock in lulu's case.

@LLA - unfortunately EPS will drive expectations for the run of the mill investor. The funny thing about EPS is that it reflects prior performance - not future potential. In the short-term it might be ok, but there are some very good analysts who understand industries and can detect changes BEFORE earnings takes a hit - it takes a lot of skill but those people who understand the end consumer can make a lot of money by taking what are normally considered unusual stances.

One thing people should consider - quarterly earnings reflect changes in a prior 90-day period. The results are further delayed by 30, 45, whatever days it takes the company to release them after the close. That can give people a really long time to move if they sense things are going in the wrong direction (or if they appear to be going in the RIGHT direction).

What I find more laughable about how some people laud earnings as the sole determinant of success is that they must not understand just how easily a company can "manage" them if they think bad news is coming. Exceptionally good quarter? Book a reserve, give yourself a "cookie jar". Things start going bad? Release the reserve, sending it to earnings. Its all shown "net" when it's sitting on the balance sheet - if managed properly it is possible for companies to hide things for a long time.

For the girl who called GEC and they're insisting she go to a store: You should absolutely get a refund, as someone else noted, and they should process it via GEC if that's your preference.
I had a pair of the Runder Unders get severely pilled and with runs in them after one, 15-minute wear. I was appalled. I sent in photos to GEC, explained the situation, and requested a return. They told me to go into store, but I insisted — photographic evidence isn't sufficient? Going to a store is not convenient for a lot of people.
And IMO you should get a return. The RU I was trying to return were well within the 2-week period and it's folly that you not get your money back in a situation where the garment is clearly deficient. So just push if you have to. Yeesh. Can't believe I'm writing this: tips on how to deal with LLL customer service.

I'm a serious cyclist and overall I'm not drawn to the new kit, it reminds me of the spring has sprung which I like but I think last year's kit design rocked totally compared to this one. Obviously St Louis was left out as a major cycling community..looks like the kit goes, east coast west coast and minn. All that being said I might buy the bibs as last years was great with nice pad, specialized type quality and it's really hard to find ladies bibs, esp cute ones. I've been awaiting this.

@ anon 9:0a am - I've read commentary from some analysts where they think lulu is playing games with same stores year over year sales figures. I think the comment was they don't break them out between Canada and the US since Canada is much more mature market than the US.

I LOVE these!! As a triathlete- very excited!

Gross! I would rather ride in jeans with a thickle seamed crotch than in this ugly floral kit. Last years kit was ugly and the current one is even worse.
