A great couple of photos showing the same tops and bottoms on different women. Most of the women are wearing the Mod Moves tank and all are wearing Speed Shorts. The woman in the white wee space Speed Shorts has on the new Ebb and Flow Racerback tank.

The new Power Purple In the Flow Crops. Inkwell In the Flow Crops are also out.

I actually like the Hot Hitter Polo in this photo. It's probably because I can't see the curved hem.
OTOH, the Hot Hitter Polo is a slobby mess here.

Sorry the whole golf line leaves me clutching my credit card and waiting for the next upload. Aside from that, I finally got my soot light contempo jacket. I like the colour and most of the design features but I'll only need one of these. Good to have one in a colour that goes with almost everything but unlike swiftlys etc, ones enough. The zippper.....WTF? Really?? In two minds whether to leave the plastic black fantastic on or take it off. Its a more relaxed fit than the inspire, its superior cousin. The collar is not as fitted. Possibly a size down item for some. The top of the sleeves would be my main bug bear. They look peaky, like the form shoulders. And I have strong, muscled shoulders. The price is steep. Overall I'm pleased and will get alot of wear out of this but it will be my only one.
Holy at least two sizes too small speed shorts Batman!
WMTM update. I love the surf bonded CRB (I'm short and short-waisted, so the length is great for me - I know many hated it), so I grabbed the 2 colors that I don't already own.
LLA, the run for ice cream socks that you like are on md!
I like the e&f racer back, but I want to try on. It looks snug in most of the photos I've seen, so it seems like a potential size-up item.
I've also been contemplating my first pacesetter skirt. I have really big thighs, so I really don't wear shorts. I don't think I could wear a pacesetter for running just due to chaffing concerns, but maybe to zumba, which I do more often lately anyway. I'd probably go for the tall version for some extra coverage. I have a really muscular backside, so I imagine that those ruffles would be very flattering...
I can't decide if I'm going to take my soot contempo jacket back. I really like the fit, and the soot is a great basic. But the price is so high and I don't like the zipper pull (i know i can remove it, but should i have to when the jacket cost $140?) My beach runner jacket came yesterday and I like it just as much -- for $50 less, although it obviously is not a "basic." Decisions, decisions.
Nice aerial shot of the girl doing forearm plank on her mat.
wmtm upload boooring.
I tried on several items yesterday. The Power Purple WUC were more substantial than the WUC of late, I think the coverage was okay. The Gather and Crops of the same color seemed thinner than usual.
I also tried on the Inkwell In the Flow crops because the color was AMAZING--kind of a charcoal blue, but when I bent over, SHEER CITY. Pantyhose, much? Wow I have never seen anything that sheer, I am not kidding. It was such a shame, because that color is so cool.
Ended up purchasing a Swiftly tank. I was reading reviews that they kind of bag out/stretch out after a few wears, and the tank is a little on the loose size as it is. Can anyone comment on shape retention? Are they better at keeping you cool over a CRB? I can't run naked...gotta wear something when running, so I was willing to give this a try even though I know they ride up on Luxtreme waistbands.
I also tried on the clam diggers. Holy comfort, Batman! But these things run big, size down. The white were totally sheer. The purple were okay, but they are overpriced. I might have bought them if they were in inkwell or Soot light. I think I'm sick of Power Purple already.
The mod moves singlet looks so much better on the women with the crops, rather than with the skirt or shorts. I think it looks really flattering when paired with crops!
Can anyone tell me how sheer the twiggy WUC's are? I don't even know why I ask but they are just so cute.
Is it just me or is the girl with the aquamarine speed shorts and the pp mod moves top wearing her speed shorts AT LEAST one size too small? Are they supposed to fit that way?
The color matching/blocking outfits reminded me of my childhood when I shopped at Esprit (yes, it was a long long time ago!) and color coordinated everything!!! Many of the new LLL items seems to only flatter those who are long and lean - I am neither so they just don't work for me. The first few photos of the ladies all wearing the purple top - seems like they are in crossfit - it's kindda silly to see a bunch of women all wearing the same color/style at the gym...if I pay premium prices for an item, I wouldn't want to wear it with everyone else like it's a uniform. It's embarrassing!
RunLikeTheWind - The swiftly tanks are most definitely cooler/more breathable than crbs. I live in a hot climate and can't stand CRBs in the summer, but swiftly tanks are fine. They stretch out very slightly as you are wearing them but mine always go back to normal after washing. I hand wash and hang to dry.
I really like the look of the ebb and flow tank but when I tried the e&f crops I thought the material was a bit heavy feeling. Not sure if I'd want that for a tank.
I don't think those speed shorts are too small. The girl has big thighs, makes it look super tight and not right. These are short shorts.
im super irritated with this company... i used to work for them and they stand for nothing they preach- at least the store i worked at didn't.
also- i am a loyal speed short fanatic. i crossfit so i have muscular legs and butt that continue to grow. i bought 2 pairs of size 6 speed shorts in dec/jan and one pair fits perfect and the other looks like a crapped my pants. then i bought 2 more pairs about 2.5 months ago and they have the same problem! stop changing the sizes! i love my first pair of speed shorts and they had to go and make them frumpy... fix your stuff lulu- youre starting to piss people off
I measured my hips and I'm a size 8 which is what I wear in all Lululemon pants. I tried on the Inkwell and Power Purple In the Flow crops wearing bright red coral Hanky Panky thongs and checked out my butt and crotch bent over in Down Dog, Wide Legged Pose, and coming up from Wide Legged Pose into tripod headstand, and these crops are not sheer. I still went up a size cuz I like my crops less compressive so my butt doesn't get squished down or I get camel toe. These crops are more opaque than the black ones, which are just as opaque IF YOU GO UP A SIZE. BTW, these crops sold out in about 3 hours from when the store posted their product notification online, so rush to your store, or place your online order. And measure your hips to make sure you get the right size cuz they're sheer when you bend over or squat if they're too small. But hey, if your pants are sheer, no worries. Most people aren't rude and won't stare. They have other things to worry about than judging if they can see your underwear or your butt crack.
The girl in the inkwell in the flow crops needs to learn how to do warrior 2 the correct way.
I broke down and ordered the Soot contempo jacket, I'm a sucker for grey. I also ordered 2 open soul tanks, reviews didn't look too bad. Here's hoping they fit ok, I think they will be good for yoga and summer walks anyway.
OT: Is the yoga mat bag the girl in the white clam diggers and Zippy Green Forme jacket has the Namaste yoga tote? I didn't realize they have a front pouch. I'm thinking of getting one to carry my the Mat - anyone have an opinion on the tote?
No, it's not just you. The waist on those are so large in comparison to the rest of the shorts, which is maybe why they thought the shorts fit them. If I wore them that tight during a run, it would be chafe city. They might be ok for hanging around the gym, but not practical for running if they're that tight in the thighs.
Twiggy print is not sheer if you get the right size. I tried the bend test with bright coloured underwear and it was size. I know some people say they are sheer but I honestly have not had a sheerness problem at all this month (so far) so I feel like there are a lot of people who wear the wrong size? Either that or there are batches that are thicker?
You can tell they are not as soft as regular Luon but I think the print is worth it! They are definitely thicker then the heat it up crops for example.
I like the crossfit girls their outfits look great on them. I don't think that doing the team spirit thing is embarrassing, but to each their own.
M
So how do In the Flow crops and the first run of the Ebb and Flows differ?
I know the Ebb and Flow first edition is shorter than the Ebb and Flow II.
From what I can see, it looks similar, the logo is just placed on the back of the thigh instead of lower?
I tried on the twiggy soot WUC yesterday--I saw my undies without even bending over. Terrible sheerness issue.
The purple WUC did not have the same level of sheerness. I did a half down-dog in them and they seemed ok.
The twiggy purple WUC are less sheer than the soot ones, but would really need to wear nude undies just to be safe.
Hi LLA. I know you track page views on your blog. I don't have a blog so am unsure how these things work. However, I just saw this on another blog and thought you might be interested. Cheers.

RLTW 6:14 AM I hear you. The In The Flow crop has great design details (including seamless), colours and I absolutely love a close fitted knee length crop. But YES, see-through city. I know some people are adamant that they are awesome, but I have the Ebb & Flow i's and the quality of the E&Fi is outstanding. I will not buy a pair of see-through crops, settle for sh!t quality or accept people trying to tell me they are not as bad as they are. BTW, am a very fit size 4 and no issues in the E&Fi or other crops or pants. The problem is the In The Flow manufacturing!
GO YogaSmoga!
I've found that the colored YogaSmoga bottoms have same sheer issues as LLL - esp the pink ones.
@ anon 8:31am - does it matter is she's not doing warrior 2 correctly? It's just a picture, and maybe she can't go down in the lunge as far as you.
@anon 8:31am - wow, how mean, such bad energy - let's try to stick to the clothes and not attack the people generous enough to model them for us!light and peace
How does the ebb and flow tank sizing compare to the coolr racerback? I am a size 2 in a cool racerback an im wondering if the size 4 ebb and flow tank will be baggy around the waist
anon @10.39am - no such issues for me - have both the pink and blue YogaSmoga ones are nice and thick- perhaps sizing is off for you and you may need to size up.
anon @1.35am - agree not feeling the golf line so much.
Please don't pick on the real world models. They allow us to project how good or bad the clothes would look on us instead of industry-standard size 6s. Thanks!
@ Anon 11:39am - thanks but I'm pretty sure I don't need to size up in YS. I'm 5'2" and 115 lbs and a size 4. I don't think I need to size up to a size 6. Sizing up isn't the answer.
Thank you LULUaddict for taking up for the models.
Also, has anyone tried to Scoop Me Up Tank? I'm a 36D and was wondering how it fits on bigger chested ladies. Thanks in advance.
OT, but on www.people.com there is a photo of Catherine Zeta Jones leaving the treatment center for whatever issues she had and she is wearing a LLL headband.
To all the people who say to size up to avoid sheerness... I am consistently a size 4 in bottoms but I have some 2s I still wear from a couple of years ago when my thighs were less muscular. They might be tighter than I would buy now but NOT sheer. It is clearly a difference in fabric causing sheerness. That said I sized up in the purple ebb and flows and have no issues with sheerness. I'm willing to put up with it for such cute lightweight crops for summer but I don't think thin fabric is acceptable for things like wunder unders.
You know that sizing up won't resolve a sheerness issue when you bend your knee and the fabric goes very sheer, like it did with the In the Flow crops. It's possible that I tried on a size not flattering for my hips and rear, but it's less likely that I tried on a size too small to accomodate my bony knee, especially when I usually scrunch the fabric up under my knee so it doesn't ride up when my leg bends. The size chart says I should wear a 4, but I usually buy a 6 for roominess. It's not like I am a 10 trying to squeeze into a 2. Sometimes the fabric is just sheer. It's possible that all the pants are sheer, but the differences in lighting during scrutiny accounts for the variations in how some of us see our underwear or skin and some don't.
Thanks to the person who answered my question about the Swiftly tank, too.
I have it in the parfait pink and I absolutely love it ! It's waterproof and really great quality. The pocket fits my water bottle and towel easily.
12:05 I have a scoop me up I am busty 34D and 5'3 about 120# the size 6 fits, but it shows some cleavage.
M
I received my white clam digger II today and man are they SHEER!!!!! LULU is a joke. I went with my regular size, I didn't even have to bend over to see the rip tag. They run big, I could have sized down, Seeing how sheer they are, even sizing up would not help. Im 5'4 130lb size 8.
@anon 12:05. I also found the pink YS crops sheer. No problems with blue or black though. It's not a size issue.
Anon. @ 8:02AM... Well, you might like to work out in sheer pants but I don't. SIZING IS NOT THE PROBLEM. SHEERNESS/QUALITY IS ! Your arrongance suggests that you work for Lululemon....
Tried on the E&F tank and found it tts, not loose on the midsection - but rather close fitting. Surprisingly I found the tank really pulled on the back of my neck and I'm a consistent size 4 with an A cup at most. The material felt thicker than a Swiftly and the tank was two inches shorter than a CRB. In the few minutes I was in the change room the pull on my neck was so irritating there is no way I could workout in it. The positive with the style was the cut - which is low around the arm pit, similar to the Arise bra.
Also tried the Mod Singlet and it was ok. Again it was tts but looser in the body. I would consider this on MD but nothing so special that I had to have it at full price.
On another note I wanted to express my deep disappointment in LLL cost cutting designs - which lack the creative detail that made the brand so distinctive and a pleasure to wear.
Thanks M for the help!
Live Lively Tank--seams or nipples? I can't tell for sure. I don't want people wondering the same about me if I were to buy this top.
Can we just say, PLEASE do not blame your body for the see-through issues! The pants and crops come in many sizes and they should not be see-through or sheer for any size. I know many people are trying their correct size, NOT trying to fit in a smaller size, and the material is see-through. It is the materialand the manufacturing that is at fault. We all know that LLL of years ago did not have this problem. Quit blaming people's bodies or sizing choices and blame LLL!
Me, not buying anything but CRB's, socks, and possibly speed shorts (those have gone downhill too though in material texture etc.)
Yup, a Lulu ed is among us again.
I bought the purple In the Flows and Wunder Under crops, and both are somewhat sheer but not too bad with a no-show boyshort underneath. I would not wear a thong with either one. The color is just so pretty that I couldn't resist.
I love the comments (not here, but I see them) that say, "Mine are not sheer. I bent over for an educator and she assured me they showed nothing." ha ha. Really. I'm sure there are honest educators out there, but I am not going to have them be the sheerness referees, frankly.
I'm sure some people squeeze into too-tight sizes, but many of the people reporting sheerness are skinny minnies. I have seen them. It is not a size issue. It is a fabric quality issue. It is an issue of selling your reputation for a .20 cent profit per pant or whatever. Shameful.
My Under Armour striped crops are not sheer, by the way. Loooove the feel and look of those. I'm exploring lots of other brands, too. Enjoying all the new possibilities.
In one of my previous post I said the purple WUC material is substantially thicker than before. Well, my UA stuidoLux arrived and the difference is HUGE. StudioLux is still so much thicker than WUC, no any see-through issue at all however I bend, with whatever undie I wear. For WUC, I have to wear seamless undie, or the edge of the undie would show through, although the tag will not show through for my small butt.
I wore both to my crossfit class, and overall I feel more comfortable and secure in StudioLux. Gotta love it!
I was wondering if anyone has tried out the boogie shorts? Are they sheer? I have my eye on the reversible pair in power purple and aqua marine and I'm wondering if becasue they're reversible are the thicker/less sheer? Thanks!
I'm nervous. I got the pink YS crops and am still waiting for them...
Coming to a lulu blog for yoga poses is like going to a prostitute for relationship advice
We are here to look at clothes not judge the lovely people who model them for us
@5:05 PM That's exactly what I worried about - pulling at the neck. I recall the E&F bra had the same problem and the review wasn't good. Now my money is safe. Thanks for the input.
@ anon 9:56 pm - I thought the E&F bra was kind of high at the back of the neck and the tank looks built the same way.
Some of the boogie shorts are sheer, the reversible ones show the light color when you wear the black on the outside.
I am still confused at some of the comments here and on the website for lululemon. Some people claim sheerness and others don't.
M
I just want to express my frustration to eds and others who tell me to size up to solve sheerness: I weigh 95 lbs and as a longtime (almost 10 years!) LLL wearer, I KNOW they have jumped on the vanity sizing bandwagon. My weight has never changed and I used to be a size 4. Now the size 2 bunches around my waist in certain pants
No issues with the black or blue YS crops or slimmies here either. I don't have pink though.
