Bold Stripe Power Purple and Zippy Green Power Ys and More

The Aquamarine Groove pants reverse to Power Purple.

Shown with the Inkwell Speed Shorts.
The Power Purple and Zippy Green Bold Stripe Power Ys are kind of fun.

Shown with Aquamarine Wunder Unders

The latest Scoop Me Up tanks in Zippy Green, Power Purple and Black.

Power Purple Studio Crops.

Cute outift combos above - Forme Jacket, the Aquamarine/Power Purple Reversible Groove Pants, and the Power Purple Bold Stripe Power Y.

The Front Racer looks really nice on this woman. She is wearing it with a Flow Y bra.

Spry Blue and Black Metal Vent Tech Shirts for the men.

Top to bottom - Deep Coal, Soot, Coal.

From left to right, Blurred Gray, Soot, Magnum. (Thanks to Ms. H. for the photos.)

These photos have a bit of greenish tinge to them. I tried on the Soot Studio Crops today and liked the color a lot. I hope there are Soot Studio Pants coming soon.

Is the Soot Light more of a taupe colour or a grey? Does it have greenish undertones?

I have not been to an actual LLL store since September, 2012 (I typically order online because I know the product so well). I was finally able to get into an actual store on May 1st and went thru everything in the store. I left with a pace bra (which I am not even in love with). YUCK, POOR QUALITY, UGLY COLOURS, PATHETIC..........wow after wearing these clothes since 2000 and owning thousands upon thousands of dollars worth I cannot believe just how big a nose dive this company has taken. In the past (pre fall 2012 to present) I would have spent nothing less than $800 a visit and order every single week on the new uploads for a total of about $1000 per month. I would have bought a new pair of studio crops on this visit this week, however, I know full well the waist band is going to roll after the first wash and I tried on 6 pairs of crops (2 luon and 4 luxtreme) and every single pair were see thru during the bend test in the change room. I am so disappointed that LLL has gone in this direction. I will not spend any money on garbage and that is basically what you are putting out. Walmart quality at old LLL prices. I follow your blog daily and pretty much rely on feedback now as to weather I would even entertain ordering something or not. Yogasmoga interests me! I wrote to Annie at YS and ordered a pair of classic slimmie's and a pair of their very awesome flip-flops (she also sent me a free pair of run jump play crops and a tshirt to try for feedback purposes). So far I am in love. The slimmie's are absolutely amazing and I love them better than my old school LLL groove pants Amazing quality and fit and ohhhhh so slimming. I also love the crops to death (nice compression and thickness). The shirt was a wee bit big and one they were not selling anyway but I wear it religiously anyway. I cannot wait for this company to expand their line and come out with a technical fabric similar to the old luxtreme (I say the old because the new and NOT improved luxtreme is a JOKE). I am holding out for YS to expand and become my new love because LLL leaves me rattled and empty handed (I have little faith they will EVER return to their original quality and fabulous designs). Thank goodness I have plenty of clothing from LLL from last summer and backwards all the way to 2000 (and yes I have original grooves and scubas that are at least 10 years old and still wearable). I (for whatever reason) ordered three new pairs of studio crops (one of my favs for summer) last summer and will be able to rely on these for the next couple of summers until I find a replacement. Oh well...........they say all good things must come to an end..........so bye bye LLL............nice knowing you :))

are the new groove pants sheer? does anybody know?

Is it just me, or how in the world do some people spend over $1,000 a month in LLL clothes (or any clothes)? Do they not eat?!

@ Anon 9:39am
I've been wondering the same thing. I go through phases with buying items...but nothing on that scale.

Just curious, should I expect them to release a tall version of the purple grooves as well? I noticed that there's only a regular length available right now

Some people with higher paying careers and no kids like me :) Its all about what you choose to spend your disposable income on, others might save that cash for new pair of high end shoes etc or a trip, others spend it on LLL!

I am obsessing over those grooves and hoping they come in a tall as well. They just seem so warm and cozy.

Store try on:

Power Flow Crop - love both Pinkelicious and BBB, not sheer. The calf band was tight around the thick part of the calf but I pulled it up and it fits well. Nice ruching in the area. Got both.

Scoop Me Up II - I have always love the original Scoop Neck Tank (I have 10 of them and refused to sell any), 2 of the Scoop Me Up. Love this style. Tried the SMU II and really like the fit as well. I find that I have to size up the the 'Scoop' tank series. Normally wear a 4 in CRB but have to go up to a 6 in these. The chest / armpit band is too tight in the 4. For reference. 34B, 5'3, 115. Took home the PP and Black.

DSC - I love these crops. Have many colors. The last one I purchases was 10 months ago, the lined DUNE and they were terrible. There were these little plastic wires sticking through the waist and poking me. Many were sticking out. I love the color so returned for another and the other did the same thing. I went back the 3rd time (why do I keep going back when the crop was faulty???) and when that pair did it, I returned it completely and got store credit. They accepted the return no problem, no receipt, worn. Guess it was because it was defective. This visit, I tried both the Soot and Power Purple. Both fit nice. No plastic wire poking through. The Soot is a nice color. Bought this one. The PP is really nice but probably not going to get a lot of wear. The deal breaker for the PP is the WHITE plastic at the end of the drawstring. So strange that they didn't put a purple one. All the other crops having matching cap. You could see it on the LLL website.

WUC Reversible BBB - thick but polyester feel and SEE through.

Just picked up the purple CRB - made in Canada! Feels thicker and different (better) than the other CRBs I've picked up lately. Great color too!

The scoop neck tank felt very tight in the straps and I'm not very big on top. Hoping they do more tanks in the green. Beautiful color in person!!

@ Ye Feng, I just purchased a pair in my usual size and have no revealing issues :)

hi - about spending 1,000 a month (i'm one of them) and i do have to ask the same thing... but if you go (as i did) to lll once a week - it's spending about 250 per visit - that's not very hard to do - 1 pr of pants, a bra, a top, maybe a few prs of socks and there you are... - i mean i don't to that more - mostly b/c the quality is just so bad now - but in the past that is how i did it... believe me i'm shocked too - but it really adds up.

Puhleeze- so far we're not comunist in this nation- NOT YET and some people have alot of disposable income- farmers, business owners, doctors, celebs etc. etc. thats notthat much money really for people who make a butt load of moola- do you not realize this???? and its no ones business really she's just illustrating her TRUTH of what she used to spend- jeeze some people are so opinionated on here about what others spend- jeeze i've been holding my tongue over this so need to say what others are probably thinking too- so f-ing what she spent alot on lulu- i was guilty of the same once upon a time in spurts however not regularly and i'm not proud or ashamed of it i keep it on the down low however! so move along and rejoice that you too could build a buisness and make alot of money too and spend alot on yourself if you so choose- now i've got more money for plastic surgery since lulu doesn't take much any more!!! ha ha ha ha

ugh. moderating these comments must be fun. old vs young, kids vs no kids, i wear lulu for superior technical abilities vs i'm just a label "snob," how much money people earn/spend etc. personally, as a married working professional woman in my twenties, a $1000 monthly spree at lulu is about 8% of our monthly take home pay. so really, it's not that ridiculous and we each only have our bachelor's degrees. and yes we eat, go on vacations, save, pay our entire tax bill by April 15th etc.

I must get the pow purple CRB!

I purchased white wee are from space inspires and wanted to love them, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to return them since they are see through. I can faintly see the hang tag through the crops when I'm standing normally, and the pants are pretty much see through when I bend over. And yes, I am wearing the correct size.
I also found them to be very unflattering since they show all my imperfections and cellulite through the skimpy material. I also am not impressed with how my underwear shows right through (and no, I am not someone who can wear a thong while running a half marathon).

I think it's a little pathetic that I've been trying to justify keeping a $100 pair of see through pants. I really need to get a grip and move on from LLL.

Big bag of boring! I'm glad though, no desire to buy anything.

Purple Forme and purple Grooves is very Barney!

Anonymous said...

Do you all wear a bra with the Power Y? Or can you not wear it for higher impact activities?

Anonymous said...

Exactly what I was thinking!! It's nice that they are able to afford that though. Not hating just want to know how I could do that!!??

Barney is more Tender violet;)

I wear an energy bra under my PY tanks for added support. For reference I am 115 5'5 32dd
I think they pair nicely together;)

does anyone know if the power puple studio crops roll (waistband)? let me know thanks

I have a pair of Groove pants I bought four years ago and they still look brand new. I only wear them a few times each winter, but comparing them to a pair of recent wunder unders is like night and day. The "new" luon has no integrity. Don't waste your money.

YogaSmoga is the closet replacement for the old Luon. Love the weight, feel, and compression of their fabric. Have only worn them once, so not ready to give them a grade on durability yet.

Yup! Everyone has different priorities. My friend's husband will spend thousands a month on golf and golf things, but think $200 on a purse or special dinner is ridiculous.

We spend a lot on travel (3-4 vacations a year) so I can't / won't spend that same money on clothes, but who am I to judge? I wouldn't want you to judge me if you don't see the same benefits in travel.

To each their own! :)

Are the Power Y's as crappy as people on the LLL site are claiming (because of the Luon Lite)? I've never tried one on before but I love the Purple Striped one.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone tried the new Purple reversible grooves? What is the quality like? I picked up the racerback in POwer Purple just bc the color is so pretty! The material is thicker but it's also pretty scracthy- hoping it gets softer after washing. I miss the old SOFT racerbacks:)

I agree. Love pow purple and even dense purple... Didn't love tender violet.
