The Latest

Love the look on the top photo - Aquamarine Wee Space Beach Runner Crops, Beach Blanket Blue Swiftly V Neck, and white Throw Me Over Hoodie. The hoodie looks cute but is getting super low reviews on the website because of it's short length. I wish lululemon would stop shooting itself in the foot by making all it's jackets so short lately, particularly the lightweight french terry hoodies that people are dying to buy.

The Vinyasa Suft Tank shown in Fresh Teal/Black. The top photo is shown with white Studio Crops.

The top right photo shows the White Wunder Under crops that just came out. I read they are fairly thick but you still need nude undies underneath. Oops, I just saw a photo of a woman modeling them and they are pretty sheer even standing up straight.

Love this combo of the Pinkelicious Mile a Minute tank and Inkwell striped Speed shorts.

OT: I am in need of advice. I desperately need a new pair of black Wunder Unders. However, with the recent sheerness issues, I haven't purchased any. I've considered getting the reversible ones in hopes of them being thicker. Are there any other brands that sell similar thick leggings like the old Wunder Unders or should I try the reversible? Any insight?

Are the new V-neck swiftlys too wide? From the photos I've seen so far, I keep seeing the bra straps.

Annie G. have you tried Yogasmoga? I just got a pair from them, saw their post for $50 credit on FB and I figured I'd give it a try. Their black crops are unreal. The most opaque I've ever owned and with their discount I think the total cost was something like $30+/-. I think you can find them if you search yogasmoga on FB. I do not work for or represent that company, I just saw the deal, tried it, and love their product.

I absolutely love Karma leggings. They are thick and feel like luon, but do not pile. You can find them at Nordstrom or search on the internet. Karma is different than Pure Karma, so make sure you remember that if you decide to try these. A little pricey... but well worth it. They are my favorite new leggings!

How low cut is the Swiftly V? On the photo of the blue one above, it looks low. But on the others below, it looks not so low. Or is this a size up for high size down for cling low? I wouldn't mind low but don't have a store nearby to try on. Also, do Swiftlies ride up?

Next Q, any reports on sheerness of pink Pace crops? I'm hoping they'll get uploaded next week. I love watermelon colours! ;)

Hi Annie G - The my superficial endeavors blog (link on LuluMum's blog) reviewed Splits 59 crops in black yesterday and raved about them. I haven't tried this brand, but am now very tempted because I know she's been buying lulu for a long time and knows "good" luon vs the bad, sheer, scratchy luon.
The reversible WUs are okay, but I've found them to be too spongey and cheap feeling. I also hate it when the black layer shows through the colored side. This happened to me with my Paris Pink/Black reversible WUs.
LLA reviewed Kira Grace crops a while back. You can search for her review on the blog.
These aren't black, but I bought some crazy gray striped Nike 'Legend 2.0' Print Dri-FIT Tights on Nordstrom.com recently and love them. They aren't sheer and the fabric composition reminds me of my Unicorn Tears WUC - thick, but breathable. I wear a 4 in LLL and the XS fits perfectly. Also love the Nordstrom return policy and great customer service. HTH!

My daughter bought me a pair of the Inkwell reversible WU's for my birthday and they're defiantly not sheer. I even stood on my bathroom counter top with my butt shoved up in the air towards my makeup lights to see if there was any sheerness (thank God no one found me doing it) They cover all that needs to be covered.

got the very green swiftly V-neck and love it! it's really a pretty color and great style - not too short either.

some fantastic markdowns in store again today! dog runner pants for $39! studio pants for $59 etc...

@ anon 2:18 - what is the fabric content of the yogasmoga? I am curious to try them, too.

Thanks for the tips! I did read My Superficial Endeavors' blog today and am thinking about trying those out as well.

i just realized the pinkalicious bra is white on the inside!! NO!!!! i absolutely hate that. i'm so mad i didn't see it before i ordered it, i just think it looks so tacky, and now i'm out the $5 for return shipping:(

To wear the Run a Mile a Minute new tank, it helps if you have very little body fat. Any fat on your back will spill over and make you look fat, even if you are not, due to the way the back is cut. Or at least that's what I found...

I have been interested in trying Yogasmoga. Could you offer any recommendations for sizing comparisons, please? Thanks!

Annie G - I love the splits leggings, try the Kim pant, I definitely think they're a great replacement for wu. I've been buying alot of splits lately and it holds up really great. I also saw a 10% discount code on lulumum's blog.

@ anon 3:00-
I tried on the pink Pace crops. I love the color but I could see the hangtag when I leaned over just a little. I was wearing nude underwear so I didn't notice the underwear but I can't trust myself to remember to always wear a certain pair of undies when I want to wear pink crops so I left the crops at the store. The color was beautiful- I got the energy bra in pinkalicious.

Also picked up the very green v neck swiftly. I'm always a 10 in swiftlies but the first 10 I tried was super snug. Tried the 12 and it was huge. Tried another 10 and it was much better.

I was excited to find a NLT in black with black/white chevron print bra. Only $29! Nothing else that caught my fancy on the markdown rack but lots there.

Zella live in capris.... I personally love them. Nice and thick with good compression.

I was wondering as well if the pinkalicious crops are see through. Never thought I'd actually want pink crops but they are cute!

The vneck swiftlys are sort of plain and boring looking, dare I say cheap? Pass for me. The pinkelivious pace crops are hot I can't wait until they are available online! Went for the pink energy bra if it's anything like raspberry glo I'm stoked. My pop orange energy bra is heaven!

Is anyone else disappointed beach blue looks similar beaming blue?

Annie, I bought a pair of Revelation Crops from Athleta & am in love with them! They're a different material make-up, but they feel amazing and have no sheerness issues!

Does anyone think that there will be a very green crb?

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 4:55 pm - I just bought the Pinkelicious Energy today. It's not white on the inside, it's Parfait Pink.

I ordered some zhoba capris today. Got 15% off for clicking on the link on the blog...they were $63. And they will let me return them within 30 days. You ever heard of a 30-day return policy, lulu?

That pacesetter skirt in frangipani print is gorgeous but I dont wear white well and I refuse to buy a tan. This week I broke into the realm of the v-neck swiftly ss, the very green.I wear the crew necks quite a bit so a little diversity in its cut and pattern will be exciting. I've begun calling this gearing up "workout foreplay".

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 7:05 pm - I have read there will not be a very green CRB. I know lots of people are bummed about this.

Has anyone ever bought anything from Zaggora? Does it work -- the whole 'heat' induced caloric burn?

Thanks!

What?!?!? No very green crb????? Wow is LLL a group of total idiots? First there's no solid frond crb, and now no solid very green crb? Makes NO sense for them not to make something everyone wants. I would have set my alarm for a very green crb, and I haven't done that for lily uploads in over a year :(

Tried on a couple of things:
Swiftly V neck; love and want them all! The length is good, and fit is a little wider than the regular crew necks.
New cotton terry Hoode: SO SHORT. I am 5 foot 8 with a longer torso. The hoodie BARELY covered my belly. It also felt thin, and had no distinguishable features, but did have the cute hair tie thing on the zipper pull.
The Mile a Minute tank is also VERY short. Fits TTS and the bottom of the tank just hit the top of my Speed shorts.

Anon @6.07, it's not just that it looks so like the beaming blue, it's also that it doesn't have the print. I have the lace pattern beaming blue SSS why would I get that one too?

i bought the pink pace crops. thought they were pretty opaque for luxtreme. could see the tag through in a full squat, but not my ass crack. and since the tag get ripped out...it's really only my ass showing that i'm worried about (: i plan on wearing them to crossfit, if that gives you any confidence about how i feel in them (in other words, planning on doing a zillion full squats in front of lots of people). coverage seemed the same as the very green pace crops (which i also got) if that gives you any indication.

@LuluAddict - I got some Yogasmoga's this week too and I lOOOVE them! LOL. Got the Black (Carbon 6) and India Blue Leggings and it feels really luxurious and much more higher end than lulu. I read on their site that their Aurum fabric uses Supplex technology and not the cheaper nylons that Lulu uses. I used $50 sheer difference code they have going on on their FB page too. They email you the code.

Also I must say they have outstanding customer service. There was a girl Annie helping me with sizing and she was so helpful really on top of her stuff-- sizing I think is similar to Lulu but the leggings hug me much better than the wu. Really a great experience.

Completely irrelevant and totally OT, but anyway....did anyone else notice the store stock of Bundle Ups and down outer wear in the photo with the Fresh Teal Yinyasa tank?

Yikes, that must be a northern location to still be selling winter gear, especially since some of those items were discounted online. Out of pure curiosity, LLA - do you know which store that photo came from?

Anonymous said...

Anon @2.18 Hey thanks for the heads up on yogasmoga. went on their site-wow loooks amazing. I ordered the Slimmie Pant --- looks like a much better groove pant & what a generous offer. $50 bucks to try their gear-- damn I am up for that.

Anonymous said...

Seriously lulu another cropped hoodie...why can't you please bring back the studio jacket so I don't have to pay 200 $ for a used one on ebay???

Anonymous said...

LLA or anyone else..any ideas if there will be more colors in the tame me tank ? Tia!

Thanks for posting and giving us a heads up. I just ordered the black leggings and pink crops from yogasmoga. They look pretty awesome. What $50 credit? I didnt see that? How do I get it????

seems liks a scam.

I really wanted a Very Green CRB. I've been feeling "meh" about the latest releases, along with all the drama about sheerness, bleeding dyes, and general decline in quality. We've been asking for greens for months now, so it's disappointing to hear the prospect of a solid green CRB won't be happening.

LuluAddict said...

@ yogagrl - thanks. I got a code today from them.

This is Anon 2:18 again with my own little fit report on Yogasmoga...

First, for perspective, I got the crops not full length pants because I'm a crops girl all the way. In LLL, I am a very consistent 4 in all luon and luxtreme bottoms. WUs, Pace, Inspires, but also in Will Pants, DSPs, Studio crops, and other bottoms with those fabrics. I'm a 6 in speeds and turbos. Based on that, I called and asked what size to order becuase I'd been shopping for new options for luon/luxtreme type bottoms for a while. I tried 4s in Zobha (way too big) Alo (too sheer), Splits 59 (too big and too shiny - even their most matte tights too shiny), Gap (too sheer), Bia Brazil (too hookerish -- but nice quality), Nancy Rose Performance (LOVE THIS BRAND TOO and the sizing is the same as LLL), and then Yogasmoga. All of this to say, size down for sure. I think they are out of size 2 in most everything due to this promotion, but if you are a 4 in LLL, you'll want a 2. I have a 4 and they're great for the gym or anything I don't have to jump around doing but they're big to a point that I'm constantly pulling them up.

Fabric content: Their fabric is called Aurum which is 86% supplex, 14% lycra.

They are very, very opaque and comfortable without being hot. Perfectly breatheable. I ordered a second pair in size 2 but they won't be in for a while. It's too good of a deal to pass up.

Highly recommend Nancy Rose performance too. Her stuff is amazing also.

@Anon 2.18 - Hey I cant believe you found yogasmoga too. I found them as well from another blog I was reading!

I tried the $50 sheer promotion as well and was very impressed with their tippy toe leggings. I got the India blue and the color is just so awesome -- 3 p3ople in the gym asked me where I got those. I really liked what they were all about on their site-- very solid and authentic and I loved the namaskar foundation and the bracelets that they sell. I got one of those too. Made me feel good! :).

For fit, I wear a 6 and it fit me really well. I usually get some camel toe in lulu wu but was really impressed with how these hugged me! Really recommend them.

I see people have stumbled on Yoga Smoga. I though it was my little secret when I stumbled on their website randomly through my facebook feed.

I initially ordered the Tippy Toe Legging in India Blue and the Yantra Tank in Tickled Pink (such cute names!). Love Love Love them both. Especially the TT legging feels so nice and luxurious - I have received so many compliments on it! I even wore it to a party the other night. I am ordering the Black/Tickled Pink legging today!
That black looks so gorgeous can't wait to get them.

Anonymous said...

the yoga smoga pants are quite expensive, to me they don't seem much different than the WU, but I have to check them out. their sizing chart says I would be a 6 according to the measurements. I am usually a 4 in WU. I might just give them a try just for kicks.

Thanks for the review. Based on this, I emailed and received the $50 promotion for the Yoga Smoga crops too. They are completely out of 2 and 4, so I pre-ordered the 4 (8-12 wks out). I am a 4-6 in Lulu, but based on their size chart, I ordered a 4. Hopefully that fits.

Anonimouse said...

I looked at Yogasmoga too, I'm impressed that they don't charge extra to ship to Canada, Zohba would have got an order out of me but I'm not paying $34 shipping plus customs charges just to try them out!

I am a bit bummed that they have no size 4's left though :( Guess I should have jumped on the band wagon earlier.

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 9:43 am - Did you ever try Kira Grace? I like their stuff, too, particularly the tanks. Also, have you ever tried Margarita? They use supplex which is very nice but feels indesctructible. I particularly like the tie dye versions of their fabric since it seems a little softer than the regular. It's a little out there but you can buy quieter stuff from them. Have you ever tried Rogiani? I've heard their stuff is very nice.

Dixie said...

@Annie G: I like Zella leggings. Maybe even better than WUs. You can get them at Nordstrom.

Anonymous said...

@Dixie I'd like to give the Zella leggings a try. How are they for hot yoga or other very sweaty activities?

Anonymous said...

@anon 8.59 I was a wu fan but I love my new yogasmoga's. I guess the secret is out! Their fabric is so much more luxurious I dont want to take my Tippy Toes off. I got them in black --- their color is so much darker and richer than lulu. My husband asked me if I had lost weight & that I was looking so skinny. Made my day!

Anonymous said...

@anonimouse - your handle is too funny! cracked me up. I was so impressed with yogasmoga too-- I live in cali - they upgraded my shipping to priority and got it in 2 days... Also customer service was great....they were super helpful with my sizing questions -- annie there had the designer look at my measurements for the best fit! hopefully they will keep it up as they grow!

Anonymous said...

I also was in need a long black leggings since I'm wearing through my WU like no other... So because lulu didn't have any available, I went to Yoga Smoga. I ordered my regular size 6 but they were a little too loose throughout the day. I emailed them to talk about it, and have been corresponding with this lovely girl Annie. She addressed all of my questions and even spoke directly with the designer. The designer even called me to speak to me personally with the designs! The second production of their pants (made with all of their customers' feedback) will be out in about two months. Can't wait for the new pants and I highly recommend them!!!!
