Even though I am not much of a color blocked pant fan, I like these Dune/Black ones in these two photos.
New Burning Yellow Forme Jacket and Bleached Coral Studio Crops.
Mellow Lemon Gingham and Bleached Coral Flow Ys
Frond and Mellow Lemon Street to Studio Jackets. It looks pretty nice on these women.

Out and About Jacket Photos

I think a lot of these new designs/colors looks so fresh and clean, but unfortunately these short jackets just won't look right on my body shape. I'm really loving the two toned LS Swiftly. I'm considering either that one or the frond ls, and I'm leaning more towards the frond one since that one is more unique whereas the two toned one may look too much like my flash or pink shell ls swiftlies. I wish I could justify everything I like! I'm loving the wide headband in the 3rd to the last pic. Is that a bangbuster? I must have it!
I ordered the Mellow Lemon and Bleached Coral Flow Ys to go with my Mellow Lemon CRB and Scuba stretch. I am in love with the new Lined Hood scuba stretch. It fits looser than my Alberta lake rose herringbone scuba, and is softer and cozier.
On a less positive note, I am not impressed with the change in Swiftly headbands. The scalloping was what I loved about it, and now that it's gone, I am not going to be buying any more of them.
I actually really love the dune/black WU. But I wonder about the bonded seams. I've read other reviews that say bonded seams don't allow much for stretch. So I wonder how comfy the WU would be with bonded seams.
Has anyone tried the coral or lemon Flow Ys? I'm wondering if there is a sheerness problem.
Here's the thing about all these new jackets...
If they are not "core pieces", or not going to become core pieces they are forgotten and "out of style" in about 30 seconds! I can't tell you how many of them I have packed away, I can't even remember the names of them and barely the name of the colors. And most of them never become quite "vintage"enough to be cool, they're just old and out of style (if any of these were ever "in style").
If you have limited funds and are looking for investment and longevity then pass, pass, pass! Wait for something you really love, can use for years and mix with a current collection.
Good God, remember al that commuter cycling jacket crap? What? You don't? See what I mean! lol
I'll wait for a good solid, flattering, jacket with lasting appeal. I really love a Helly Hansen sporty trench I saw at Nordstrom. Quality for sure, and guaranteed satisfaction, or my money back!
On a positive, I am really liking the Frond Gather and Crow (somehow less Kermit looking), and if the stinkin' fabric wasn't so thin I'd be diggin' the new inspire crops. I already bought a couple of the new tops, and really loving my inkwell and Flare running tights, in fact I might go back for the Ink/Flare bra.
Glad to not be interested in any of this, zero will be spent.
That Out and About Jacket is such a hot mess in the back! Truly awful.
Bonded WU's will end up in wmtm. Wouldn't even buy them then!
I like the dune and black color blocking as well. Maybe it's just the lady that knows how to rock them.

How silly that girl is wearing two jackets at once. Am I the only one who thinks that's just weird?
Oh and I definitely agree on the dune/black. Interested in seeing how it looks on a curvy girl tho.
Two jackets at once?
Has anyone tried the flow Ys? If you look at the pictures on the site the same model is in the black and new beached coral and the beached coral looks significantly smaller! Like less coverage. I have a decent sized chest so I'm hesitant to buy one although I love the color!
HA HA HA HA HA who commented: hot mess in the back (jacket) that is just too funny i'm going to use that line: its poifect! Yes its hidious for sure and they do look an aweful lot like those commuter jackets that ended up on wmtm btw. I also love what someone else said about finding investment pieces- very wise!!
I'm curious, have you noticed less activity to your site this past year? I use to buy a lot of lulu but since the quality decline started and poor redesigns (camel toe, oversized power y, bleeding....) I havent bought anything for months! Every once in a while I check back to see if lulu got their act together and started manufacturing the original luon and fixed the camel toe sheerness issues and crossing my fingers that the original
Owner y would return....sigh
I'm just wondering if I'm the only one whose left lulu and what the future hold for them.

I finally got my order and so far I'm happy. While the Frond WUCs are on the sheer side they are not as bad as the Under crops. Those were really thin and a long top a must. For the Frond WUCs, you can do with a nude-colored undie. The Frond WUCs are really soft and yummy feeling though so I'm keeping them.
The inkwell gingham WUCs are 'less-stretchy' but good compression. I find the reversible crops are stiffer in comparison. Initial impression, they are not itchy for me. Although I haven't tried them in class so I'll have to see.
I also finally splurged on a Devotion LS Tee and love! It's so soft and comfy, I don't want to take it off. I ordered a size up from my usual size because I didn't want it to be too fitted and I'm glad I did, it's perfect. If another nice color comes along, I will definitely buy another one.
I agree with Jennifer. Two jackets at once? Really? Why? Because it's LL? Would you do that with any other brand? It cracks me up that some people who shop at Lululemon think that EVERYTHING is mix and match! I mean burning yellow with bleached coral? People, that is NOT a good look! Those colors do not go together at all and I bet pictures like that make the LL creators cringe.
Too bad that burning yellow forme isn't a define. I swear it the define hadn't been replaced i'd have bought burning yellow, pink shell, maybe even beaming blue. This forme is just garbage and has got to go!!
I think the girl in the color blocked pants has hips, she looks awesome. If those are soft I would get them, but otherwise it's a big no.
Double jackets crazy kids now adays

Honestly, I think only the woman in the 2nd picture looks good. And it doesn't even look like she's wearing lululemon or even workout clothes, just looks like normal street wear. I think women generally look better in this style.
OT comment...has anyone else noticed that the majority of the new reviews left on lululemon are written by the 24 and under users and they tend to rate the items really high? It used to be majority of reviews were 25 plus users.... I wonder what this means.?
@ anon 9:@6 am - If you view the web version of the blog you'll see a page counter that gives the views over a 30-day rolling period. I hit the 1,000,000+ mark a few months ago and it hasn't fallen belong that too many times. I think there might be less depth in people's buying, meaning that the hardcore fans are buying less, but there is more breadth, meaning more people are buying the brand. I definitely see more ladies wearing the brand in my gym and more out and about. I know a few of my friends have started buying the brand and they are just dipping their feet in. However, it could also just be a matter of more people discovering the blog. The true benchmark is the amount of lululemon's sales which I believe is still growing, albeit at a slower pace.
Ive been on various fashion and Lululemon blogs and have noticed the same trend everywhere on these "anonymous" forums. Something Ive noticed for a long time, when reading through thousands of comments. I post myself, the odd time...but not very often and certainly not on every blog out there. I mostly like to read the comments and thoughts of others. :) I don't know if it's a "woman" thing, but Ive noticed some pretty nasty comments. Someone may ask a simple question like, "anyone buy Zella or Gap?" and there's ALWAYS someone with that "need" to make a nasty, hateful comment! I don't get that!! Or someone will nicely start an OT thread about something else and someone will get all schizo and freek out!!! It's too bad more people don't THINK, before they type!
I guess it's "simple" in this day and age, when you can HIDE behind your computer and lash out at whomever you want. you can respectfully disagree with a persons comment, but it's shocking how some people use these forums to abuse others! It's very sad actually and people should be ashamed of how they behave online.hopefully, in real life, they don't act like that with their friends and family. Im sure, some do and don't care. I was looking thru some pictures online this morning on a website and someone posted some very nasty comments regarding how thin one of the models was. the comments were very hurtful, saying the model looked disgusting. The model in the picture looked like a very tall teenager...late teens, early 20s, possibly? anyways, some of the comments were not very nice and you could see who posted the comments. I felt bad, for the model (girl) who will read those comments later.
I keep hoping, that humanity is getting "better" and that we are "evolving" into better people. All I have to do, is go online for 30 minutes and read a few nasty comments and I realize that things truly ARE, really that bad. It's almost like, people come online angry, just to pick fights with people they don't know.
It's pretty shocking.....and sad, how "low" some people will stoop, just to make a point. :(
Any word about upcoming jackets? I'm really at a loss at the moment...these jackets are just not up to par. I have the Back to Class hoodie and I love it. Can we expect more jackets along these lines for spring? I'm bored with the Forme and Scuba stretch. Anyone know if more yoga/pilates based jackets will be released? These newer jackets that were uploaded yesterday are more like spring rain jackets rather than pieces you can wear as a staple.

i don't find the double jacket weird, because i don't consider the forme a true jacket. i consider it more as a top (or rather, i consider my defines more like tops, i don't, and never will, own a forme). i treat a define jacket as the activewear version of a blazer or cardigan - i throw it on over a CRB to look a *little* bit more seasonally appropriate mid-winter (you get weird looks if you're walking around in a tank top in nyc in january, even if it is warm enough indoors. if i go outside, i put a "real" jacket over top. so yeah, two jackets. guess i'm just one of those crazy kids.
I personally really love the layered jackets! I get cold easily and often find myself layering a define under my bundle up jackets! IMO it's cute... And if anything the forme jacket is pretty lightweight so it's not like wearing two heavy jackets!
I got my dune stills the other day and I love them. However they are just a bit too long. I step on bottom hem about an inch even in shoes. I am 5'4". Wondering if theses pants can be hemmed and still keep same look at bottom. Has anyone done that? Im new to lulu and there isn't a store remotely close to me. Thanks for your help. Now I'm a little worried since I ordered the studio pants and I'm sure they will be way too long for me to wear.
Anon 11:07 so what's the point?
I always layer my defines under warmer jackets when the weather gets cold.
I think that's very sensible advice!! Thank you;)
I wrote a long comment earlier (then bungled the submission and lost it) with the exact same sentiment as Sophia. For those of you perplexed by the "double jacket" photos, I consider my lulu jackets (define, stride, DSJ) to be in the same realm as a hoodie and wear them over my hospital scrubs at work every day. I live in Minneapolis where down jackets are a requirement 6 months out of the year and never bought a single lulu jacket with the intention of wearing it as a stand alone cold weather item. In fact, I wasn't sure which photos those comments referred to until I went back and looked a second (okay, possibly third) time. I ask this in all seriousness, in warmer climates with the occasional cold snap, do you just wear t-shirts under your coats? When it gets unbearably cold, I wear a fleece over my DSJ and a parka over that. True story.
I bought the mellow yellow CRB today and LOVE IT! It's the perfect shade of yellow, and it's soft, not scratchy, yay!
Anon 6:30pm I live in NYC and wear Patagonia and smartwool base layers in the fall/early winter under my lulu jackets. In the true cold weather (like now) I wear a winter coat over these layers and sometimes a Patagonia vest between lulu jacket and a rain coat. You always need a jacket or sweater for indoors because most offices etc are fairly cool and a Tshirt just wouldn't do. I understand your layering process. What was weird to me is layering two jackets that are relatively the same density. That makes no sense to me. And for those that see that new coat as a raincoat are sadly mistaken. Lulu water resistant is no where close to a rain coat if you live in ny Seattle or anywhere it actually rains.
I think my comment regarding the double jacket thing, was mainly the color combination. pink and yellow together to me is pretty crazy, but I respect anyone who can pull something like that off. I wear a jacket over my hoodie a lot. it's cold in NYC right now.

I went to store and tried Out and About jacket in dune. And it was a "sold" immediately. It is very flattering. I had jeans on and it looks great with them. I can't wait for our weather to warm up so I can start wearing it. It fits true to size.
The forme under that new jacket is fine. The jacket is probably not warm enough on its own depending on where one lives and time of year. It's just the color combo that'd questionable. But to each their own!
