The Latest and Some Try On Reviews

Pace Tank photos. I tried this on the other day and really liked it. I thought it fit a snug TTS. The support was at the low end of moderate, in my opinion, for busty women. I really liked the open back and thought it was a comfortable fit. I also tried on the Pace Bra but didn't care for that as much. The back straps cut into my back.

The new Heathered Black Wunder Unders. I tried these on the other day, too. They are 42% polyester. They weren't super soft and fit on the snugger side so I left them at the store.

Mellow Lemon Cool Racerback and quilted Wunder Unders. I tried these on, too. The Mellow Lemon CRB is a very pretty soft yellow. I thought it was a true yellow without any green in it. I didn't care for it on me in the tank but I would consider getting this color in a short sleeve or long sleeve top. I also tried on the quilted Wunder Unders and similar quilted Grooves but didn't love them enough to get either.

Hi - New reader to your blog. I'm confused by some of these try-on posts. I guess I'm having trouble understanding the logic behind a try-on post showing someone else's pics. It doesn't make sense, lol!

See, I read a lot of fashion blogs and when the blogger does the fit reviews/try-ons, she always posts photos of herself with the item on. Otherwise, it's very very difficult to get a visual when other people's pics are used.

I mean no offense; I am just confused about this. These posts would be SO much more helpful. This is done a LOT in the J Crew blog "world" - especially because JCrew is final sale with clearance items.

I am new to this blog...and lulu(within last month). I cant speak for LLA's specific reason for this but I can say that it makes more sense to post pics of different individuals in the clothes as opposed to just one. It has been extremely helpful to me to see different body types in items I'm interested in. Also people may pair different colors and styles together to give you a new viewpoint. I have made some very informed decisions based on this blog.

LLA, please ignore comments from anon 5:21 pm. We respect your need for privacy.

I bought the pace tank this week and I really like it. It is shorter than what I normally wear with crops, but it will look great with shorts and skirts for warmer weather. It fits nicely and is not as revealing as most lulu tanks.

I also bought a mellow lemon power y. The color is a nice light, bright yellow. My issue with this tank is that the bra lining is no longer nude, but yellow. Since the yellow is so light, you can see the nude colored cups through the tank. Why would they do this? It makes no sense to me. Even though I don't always use the cups, I like to at least have the option.

@Anon 5:21 -Treat my try on review as the same as a review on the lulu website - it's to give an idea of whether something fits true to size or not. It's just a data point that I would think you'd add to the other people who comment into this blog. You can't see their photos either. I try to post a lot of photos of the same item on different people so you can see how it fits over a variety of people. If the arms look snug on several different people then you know there might be a fit problem in that area. This blog isn't to promote my delusions of being a model or stylist, which is the sense I get from a lot of other fashion blogs who only use themselves as a model. This blog serves as a tool to help those to mail order from the lulu site and as a community of people who have a shared hobby in collecting lululemon clothing and exercise.

I don't think she meant harm? But an excellent response either way LLA!

Just for another PoV on the Pace Tank and Pace Bra. I tried on both last night. I thought they were both extremely cute. I really liked the bra and will probably cave in and buy it at some point. I'm a 34C and agree with LLA in that it's on the lower end of moderate support. It'll be perfect for me for spin class or the elliptical, but it probably won't work for running! The tank had the same level of support for me. I didn't find it tight at all in the body; I'm a solid and sure size 6 in Lulu tanks with built-in bras. The ONLY reason I didn't get it is that it was WAY too short. Granted, I am extremely long-torsoed. But, in comparison with my Push Your Limits tank (the shortest Lulu one I own), it looked about 1-1.5" shorter in front and about 3" shorter in back. (That's not scientific, just eyeballing it). I liked it enough, however, that I'd at least ponder buying it for summer use if it goes on markdown.

LLA @ 5:21 is looking for a reaction. it's best for us to ignore that - of course it makes sense to show items on different people and body types - this is the best blog ever! thanks for all the time you take with it!

I get creeped out with the nasty reaction to the initial comment here. Is this a blog where we can discuss things and have different points of view, or a cult?

I'm sure LLA, having approved the comment to begin with and then responded calmly, is mature enough to take the question/suggestion in the constructive spirit in which it was clearly intended. Those of you jumping down the commenter's throat for (VERY POLITELY) inquiring about the status quo need to get a hobby, to say the least.

Agreed with 7:13PM - there was nothing inflammatory about the initial post. What happened to the yogi attitude?

I tried on the pace tank in frond and wanted to like it in lieu of a CRB in solid frond. I'm 5'7'' with a long torso, I thought it was too short and kind of loose at the bottom, which would make it impractical for boot camp or anything where you're up and down. Fine for running though, probably. I generally also don't do shelf bras as a 34D, so this is going to be returned - too bad, b/c I really love frond!

Different photos definitely are helpful!

On that note, advice on studio pants would be greatly appreciated. I am 5'2 and bought a pair that fit great but are just too long. Anyone have experience with in store tailoring of studio pants? Or should I attempt to find a tailor to keep draw string. I'm wondering how the pants feel without that feature. Thanks LuluAddict for creating this space :)

I bought a pair if the Dune ones last April, and had them hemmed by LLL. I asked for them to return the drawstrings because hey told me I'd lose them with the hemming. They came back still too long, and I folded them up once more and sewed the drawstring back in myself... In the end I ended up taking it bak out. I don't mind tem with out the drawstring, because to be honest, I don't think that I would wear them pulled up as crops anyway.
These are my go to Lulu bottoms. Wear them all the time.

I'm 5'2 and i found a tailor to keep the drawstring. I went to a law enforcement store (quarter master) and the seamstress was familiar with the stitching and keeping the drawstring. Love them shortened. The billowyness sucked for my short height and big bottom.

I like that different body types are shown on this blog, and that people submit photos in different locations, it makes the blog very colorful.
