What, exactly, makes the Studio Surf jacket worth $148? People here have commented it's a Define with a hood. Total balls. How many items are lingering because the prices are just too high for the value/style? It's getting so I have a ton of stuff I am just waiting for the price to come down on.
The Pure Balance, one of my more expensive luon jackets, was priced at $128 when it first came out.

Anything I've wanted lately has ended up in markdown. LLL needs to realize that with such unreasonable prices we're going to wait on any garment that we want but that we're willing to miss.

oh man! I saw the pure balance picture and my heart skipped a beat. I thought it was a new item. Of course not...Ughhh...Vintage lulu wonderfulness. :-(
I don't get it... I don't hate the jacket, but it also kind of looks like something i could buy at Gap or Costco for $40. DEFINITELY not worth the price tag. I wonder if we'll see some re-pricing....
$148 of pure fug. No thanks, I'll happily spend my money elsewhere on something cuter. Also, STOP with the color-blocking, lulu. Enough with this awful trend.
I had a look at this on the hanger. The pockets are interesting. The fabric seems thick and smooth. It reminded me of neoprene on the hand, which matched the 'surf' theme of this jacket. I like these colours together, but sadly I'm not enticed by the wide blocking on the sides.
Something else that reminds me of the ocean are the extra long zipper pull on the Run: Warm Up Crew. They are something like what you see on a wetsuit, and would tuck under the velcro collar.

I agree some of the items lately have been overpriced. I don't mind spending the money for Lulu but I expect the quality of the items to live up to Lulu's reputation. The Studio Surf jacket is cute but not worth spending that much on. I'm also waiting for that item to drop in price ;)
@ anon 3:51 am - I know! I bought Run For your Life Crops and the Get Up and Glow yesterday for $69 and $99 yesterday so I might as well wait for anything I kind of like. I could have bought a pair of Black Swan Grooves for $79, Devotion LS for $39 (I think). Even CRBs are lingering at my local stores and the Frond stuff doesn't really seem to be moving as fast as I thought it would. I am going to be watching and waiting a lot more.
I think they are honestly high. I liked the Apres Sickie for a cute winter scarfy thing and about passed out that that sucker was $148! Then it went to $89 which is still ridiculous...and I finally bought it at $49 and can honestly say that's all it's worth! I don't buy anything but speed shorts for full price anymore, and that's just b/c those are still in a sane range for good running shorts.

Love the look of this new jacket. I miss the define so much too and it does look like a define with a hood. I would buy this if the price decreases to $108 but I think they are asking too much at $148 right now.
Oh! I LOVE my PB jacket! I managed to snag a barely used white one for $70, and haven't regretted it yet! My only problem is that the sleeves are just too long because f the thick seam detail on the top of the arms. I've just been folding the cuffs inwards. I'm tempted to have the sleeves hemmed as I don't think I want to use the thumbholes since its white anyway.
Does anyone know if Lulu will do this (and if so, for free?). I want the original half inch cuff moved up to cut off the thumbholes basically (if you know what I'm talking about) not just folded over and hemmed like a bottom hem or such...
The price is definitely too high. I really wanted this jacket and would have been willing to spend up to $128, but this is ridiculous. Once you hit the $150 range, there are just so many other things you could spend your money on.

They have really gone beyond reasonable here with the Surf Studio jacket pricing. I actually really like the coral dune combo and was going to order it this morning but really $148. They have been starving us of hooded Luon jackets and I think this is their plan to prey on the weak;) so sad.... I do think that I will pick up the coral black dune scuba tomorrow in store. I only have the old school scuba's and not sure if I will like the fit if the new one. Fingers crossed because I really like this color combo.
