Rejuvenate Hoodie, Rejuvenate Pullover, Mens Stuff, and More

Some Rejuvenate Hoodie photos. I am not loving it. I know it comes in Bleached Coral and Mellow Lemon but I cannot keep a light colored jacket clean to save my life. If it comes in a nice blue like Bruised Berry (heard that is coming back) or the new green I might consider getting one.

Rejuvenate Pullover photos. I don't care much for the side zips.

oh i am loving the looks of the Rejuvenate Pullover - really looking forward to trying it on. i ordered the Rejuvenate Hoodie on line but now i'm seeing the long strings at the hood and that might not work for me. i may try to get to my local store today and see if they have the Rejuvenate Pullover - i would call, but they just never ever answer the phone.... thanks for all the great pics!

The Rejuvinate Hoodie looks so plain. There is nothing special about it at all...looks like any other generic hoodie to me. The pullover is a little more interesting with the zippered sides...a definite maybe if it comes in nice colors.

Yay, Memphis Eds! Looking cute in the rain!!!

LLA,
How often has lululemon come out with RULU running pullovers or halfzips in the past?
Like some of the past pullovers, i.e. mind over matter, post run, full tilt, were those all made out of RULU?

@anon 7:36 am - lulu comes put with running luon (rulu) tops every fall and spring season. The fall they mostly had one style, the U-Turn, which didn't go over very well because of the curved hem and lack of zipper pocket. They did out out a Star Runner pullover in the late summer, which was much better executed. I like the new Rise and Shine. I know people have comment on the low mandarin collar but I usually end up unzipping a pullover as soon as I've warmed up, otherwise, I'd buy a top without a zip.

I was intrigued by the Rejuvenate Hoodie until I noticed the lack of detail - no thumbholes, no embroidered logo, lack of nice stitching, etc, and then on top of that, the strings are ridiculously long! Do you think it is a mistake? Why would I want long strings dangling down to my belly button and flopping all over the place? Extremely disappointing, as I have been waiting for a nice soft terry hoodie. I have one sing, floss, travel and one live simply - love them both, but they are a bit long and I have to keep pulling down because otherwise they bunch around my middle. Was looking forward to a low-hip length hoodie. Huge pass on the Rejuvenate.

I'm a huge fan of Lulu hoodies. I really want the Rejuvenate hoodie too, but I already have black and inkwell Lulu hoodies and this one doesn't have the thumbholes or logo on the hood. I'm also not digging the bleached coral or mellow lemon colors for a hoodie, only because they're not my style. The only way they'll get me to buy it now is if they come out with it in that new green color! Crossing fingers.

i really really like the looks of the work it out track pant.

im not near a store to hem and believe very strongly these pants will be way way too long for me.

anyone with a length report? i think i read a while back the bottom was elasticized?

I agree with the other person who said the Rejuvenate Hoodie looks really plain and not worth the price at all. You can get the same sort of thing at so many other places for less money. I do love the polka dot umbrella in the Digni Tees! The yellow ss digni tee looks like it could be cute.

The rej. hoodie is boring. Compared to the Back to Class hoodie, I'm sorry to say I'm not impressed. I like the rej. pullover, but I'm not inclined to buy it because it's rather standard and I'm sure the price tag will be a bit on the high side. I'd like to see more interesting pilates/yoga tanks. The new batch of items have been geared towards toward running and not of all of us have the knees for that. I hope LuLu releases some more interesting stuff in the next couple of months. I'm getting bored!

I would buy the RH for $60 or so. IMO it's not worth $118.

I don't understand why people would be willing to pay $118 for a hoodie that has no special features? The hood looks so cheap without a sewn lulu logo or any other special stitching, no cuffins, nada. Plus they're pretty thin material. The mellow lemon was a really pretty color in person, but these hoodies are worth (AT BEST) $70-80. It really makes me mad that lulu will starve the market for a while and then have the nerve to release an inferior product because the brand-seekers will buy it regardless. Myself, however, will not be so fooled. I see this hoodie for what it's worth, and am not going to settle and pay that much.

ok, rant over! :)

@anon 6:47am, you are right the Rejuvenate Hoodie was so boring - i tried it on today and it was just plain, the size 4 (my size) was very fitted. i'm bummed b/c i ordered the inkwell on line so i'm thinking it will be going back. i did get the Rejuvenate pullover and i like it - not love it (like i did the meditate pullover - of which i have 3), the pullover is thinner than the meditate, but it's still nice enough to keep, the zipper detail is nice. tried on a few other items but to be honest i can't even remember which - it was all sort of blah...

LLA do rulu tops pill? I read the runder unders made of rulu pilled on a lot of people..just curious if it's the same for tops ?

I'm cautiously optimistic about the Turn it Up Tees because I've always had more fat on my upper arms and tees never look good on me, so I ohpe the longer sleeve is a flattering look. But the photo on the older post (first one in pink) doesn't look well-fitted on the woman shown. Here's hoping. Also love the men's blue striped top...he looks so good.

um matchy matchy? Unless you are an elderly couple this is not a cute look in my opinion.... at least the girl model has the sense to look a little mortified....

i wanted to update my post - i am the person who tried on and bought the rejuvenation pullover today - i tried it on again and home and wow, the quality is really not there, it is very thin - the best feature are the side zips but def not worth 98 dollars, this one is going back as well - i really wanted to love this one!

Anon 12:29, or anyone else, how does the rejuvinate pullover fit? I'm usually an 8 in lulu tops, but I want it to look fitted and not loose, so wondering if I should get a 6.

Anonymous said...

it's anon 12:29 - i found it to be a bit small... the 4 was very small on me (i wear a 4 in almost all lulu stuff and i have a ton of it). the 6 was better, but it truly is nothing special and for 98 dollars it's just not worth it...

Anon 2:07. I tried on the Rej hoodie and pullover yesterday and posted a fit report (sorta) on an earlier blog with the bleached coral rej. pictures a few days ago. I am an 8 (36D) in all Lulu tops and the 8 in Rej hoodie is fitted. The material is very soft and stretchy so it didn't feel tight but I wasn't able to zip up in a 6. The 8 in the pullover is boxier than the hoodie. I think that's the design. I find the 6 pullover to be too tight/restricting and way too short/cropped. Either way, neither the hoodie nor the pullover is worth their price imo.

Great, thanks! I'll prob go ahead and order my regular size, and return if Im not feeling it.

To the person who was asking about Rulu — the new pullovers are the same material (or even thinner) than the Runder Unders. (I just had a brutal pilling experience the first time I wore my Runder Unders, finally — after 15 minutes of walking around, I had two runs and the stitching was completely pilled around the knee. I put them on after my workout and walked to the car. I was utterly dumbfounded. They're like nylons!)
But, to the point: I swear Rulu has changed. I have a Rulu pullover from a couple of years ago that I've worn constantly and it shows only the most minimal of wear. These new run tops are going to be deadly for pilling — I could see friction pre-pilling on the tops when I looked at them in the store. They're durned cute, but the way I live my life, if they're pilling on the hanger, they're going to be destroyed when I get to them. This sort of quality, of course, is utter folly for a company that purports to be in the business of athletic wear.

Agreed, the Rejuvenate Hoodie is not at all special. It's actually very mundane. "Special" zippers etc/ ...c'mon.

I would bet money on it either dropping in price in the near future and I would definitely gamble on it going to wmtm. I will not be buying it under any circumstances!

Everything is very plain and boring. I went to my local store today... hoping to find the diamond inkwell WUP but no such luck. Nothing else was even tempting to try on. Left emmpty handed. Looking forward to the new emerald green. I only got the Frond CRB. The rest is just too Kermit the frog. :)

@luluaddict (or anyone else looking for mens sizing)

I tried on the focus zip and focus crew for men, the mens size of quality and overall design as improve dramatically with these pieces. Thumbholes have come back, the length of the arms and body are finally long enough to reach my waist (Im about 6 foot). The focus zip was actually almost too long, I could always get it hemmed. The Rulu Light is super soft and cozy. I am very happy.

Will post photos on the Lulumen Blog!

I sprang for the Rejuvenate Hoodie today in Inkwell. It fits me TTS and since I am short, the length is great. I've been looking for a cotton hoodie and it reminds me of one I had from American Apparel. I agree that it is simple and I actually like not having the huge logo. It has a nice slim fit and is super comfy with a functional hood. It is on the thin side but perfect for Norcal in the Spring. I plan to cut the strings close to the hood and tie knots. I laugh when people complain about Lulu prices. I try to limit myself to things I really love and then it isn't as hard to splurge.

@ loving4u - I tried the Rejuvenate on today and really liked it, too. The store only had the black but I might consider the coral. I need to to try it on.

Lovin4u said...

@LuluAddict - I'd like to try the Bleached Coral too. The Rejuvenate Hoodie got panned on the website reviews. People just hate it. I guess they were expecting a Scuba thickness but it is a different style. I think it is meant to be thinner for Spring. Do you think there's any chance it would get marked down soon with the terrible reviews? I'm tempted to leave the tags on for a bit.

@ lovin - I only went to one store today so I don't have a feel for how the hoodie is selling in stores vs. the website. If it doesn't move they'll mark it down but $118 is very high for a french terry hoodie. It should have been priced more closer $100.

I bought the work it out track pants in the blue color today. I'm maybe a smidge over 5'3" and they aren't too long at all. I ended up sizing down though. My usual 6 felt a little sloppy. The 4 is more fitted but looked good IMO. I think $108 is too much but I still bought them.
Love the blog LLA!

Are you by chance selling your shady lady visor? I lost mine and I'm trying to find a replacement because I loved it so much :(
