If you're really into the Flare/Inkwell color scheme, here is the outfit for you. U-Turn Pullover with matching Get Up and Glow tights. Underneath is the Flare/Inkwell Back on Track Tank.
Inkwell Daily Yoga Jacket with Light Flare Slub Denim Skinny Will Pant.
The Black Reflective Jacket (I really like it in the top photo) with the Light Flare Reflect Pullover and Flare/Inkwell Runder Unders underneath.
Spring Has Sprung Get Up and Glow Jacket and Reflect Crops. The more I see this print the more I kind of like it.

I think that the best Flare/Inkwell outfit is this one:

Yuck! I haven't boughten anything in over 6 months from LLL and I don't plan to for a while.
WOW!!! Lulu has gone from BAD...to WORSE!!! I'll just cut out my gusset and make an eye patch, so I don't go BLIND from all the CRAZY, over the top, colour blocking!
i went in to my store today and, while i'm sure neon is still a thing, my vision is still temporarily impaired from all the flare. holy crap. it doesn't look nearly as bright online. there wasn't a thing in there i even wanted to try on.
on a side note, for anyone that enjoyed the blue laceoflage print, they had marked down the tanks - ftb tank, run tank, power y.
My dd asked if this was lululemon or a costume shop? Startin to wonder myself!
I really like the Run: Reflect line. I went to my store yesterday and tried on the crops, tights, pullover, Get up and Glow jacket, and the reflective jacket. I really like the length and reflective detail on the crops, but I felt like the waist band was kind of like the newer inspires (which I'm not a fan of). The pullover was really nice- the light flare is super bright, and I liked the luxtreme fabric as a pullover. I'm usually between an 8 and 10 in long sleeves due to tightness of shoulders and sleeves, and an 8 worked best for me in the pullover. A nice detail is that inside the kangaroo pocket, there is a little, iPhone sized pocket next to the hole to run your headphone wire up to the shoulder.
I loved the reflective jacket. I was an 8 in that as well. The fabric is very softshell like. So, my main concern with it is breathability. Combined with the fact that I live in the south where it's only cold enough to need a softshell maybe 2 months out of the year, I just don't think it will work for me. I really hope they make a vest- I'd snap that up in a heartbeat. And yes, I did feel like I should be in a sci fi movie when I was wearing it- but in a badass "bring on the aliens" kind of way :)
The Get up and Glow tights fit like standard LLL luxtreme tights. The mint moment panels are pretty sheer.
Overall, I'm a fan. But I'm also a runner! I could see how yogis would be thrilled with the offerings of the last few months.
I think the spring has sprung print looks quite good in that jacket, it would be really nice as a scoop neck neck band with inkwell body, shame they trashed the scoop necks :(
I do have to say though, how many flippin' jackets do you runners need?
no no no to all of it. I love the SHS pattern but pairing the jacket with patterned pants is just so overkill. My SHS speeds are possibly my favorite pair to date, It seems like i got the perfect pattern distribution! They go with so many colors: current, raspberry glo, pop orange, pow pink, power purple, angel blue, shell pink, pig pink, pigment blue... so many possibilities!
LLA - Are we not getting a camo this year? It's my favorite of the lulu prints, and I would have thought we would have seen it by now. Isn't it usually a January release?
That is just bad. The designers went all-in with the flare/inkwell stripes, didn't they? I haven't been interested in anything Lulu has put out in months. Enjoying what I have and turning to eBay for some classic pieces until they get their act together and release some better, more attractive product!
I felt the same way about flare when I was in their store two weeks ago--and that was before much of the flare was out. It is so bright! At that point the store had shell pink, flare light, and mint moment. As a fair-skinned individual I cannot wear any of those colors so I walked out without even trying things on. Thankfully they change their colors frequently so I'm hoping something a little more suited to my skin tone comes along soon. Of course that is assuming they make some solid pieces without color blocking, stripes, or patterns. I actually like SHS, but I'm not a fan of it's placement on a lot of the pieces.
While I appreciate seeing the clothes in "action", it grosses me out to think of these educators actually working out in the new items/wearing them around the store all day and then putting them back on the shelf for us to buy.
I would think they'd buy them so they can wear them around the store when they are working. My local store usually has the eds wearing the latest items.
I love the SHS print! Yes, it is dark and yes, it is polyestery, and it does remind me of my grandma, but I loved her too!!! I was so bummed I missed the SHS Bangbuster online, so I went to my store to get one today. LOVE. They got them in yesterday and there were only two left today. I can't wait til the speed shorts I ordered arrived (none in my store), but I may have to have the Pacesetter skirt, too. Goes with so many colors!
I am sort of new to LLL and definitely new to this blog, but it is amazing how even reading it for a couple months I know about 1,000x more than the educators???
@ anon 11:31. I've often thought about that too. Ick! Side note, my local store had me try on some new stuff they got in once, took pics and put them on their facebook page. They snipped off tags for the pics and put them back on after our "photo shoot" was done.
tracy and anon 11:31 I don't mind it if they would just try on, but it looks like some of them actually go out and run, do yoga or whatever.
I always thought it was their own personal clothing.
I always wash all my gear right after purchasing. I have read on this blog of many people who order tons of stuff wear it at home and do god knows what in the garments and then return them.
M
Gross gross gross.
With the eds making $12 an hour they are not buying those clothes.
