Green, yay! Wish they were turbos, but happy for green.

as much as i'm excited for bleached coral and frond items, I'm actually pretty excited for that plain ol' white swiftly SL too. I've been wanting a white sleeveless swiftly for ages!

I wish people would stop with the instagraming and color-photo editing. A lot of the product photo pictures of educators lately appear really misleading because of this... light flare almost looks like flash in that first and third photo and the inkwell looks black (just for an example).

When do you think we will see these in the US? This month or next month?

Anonymous said...

I am just really not sure what to say about those SHS crane crops. I'm perplexed.

Jen said...

Can't. Hardly. Wait. for the solid frond groovys. They look like 4-way as well, wha-hoo!

Anonymous said...

I hope the frond comes in a solid in crb! But it probabaly won't...:(

Anonymous said...

Is it true? Solid color shorts? No weird stripes or color blocking? Happy Dance Time!

I love the new short prints! So adorable but please leave it to the under thirty age group! Big pastel checks on a teen is cute. Not so much on her mom!

Looking like the spring/summer line is definitely something to look forward too -yahoo!

I'm with you, anon 9:11pm. I got to try on the inkwell crane crops, and they overcame many of the shortcoming that the luxtreme 105 crops suffered- in particular, their terminal case of sheer butt. My store didn't have the SHS crane crops, and I've disliked how much the SHS print breaks up when it's flexed. IMO the half this fabric/ half that material crops advertise themselves as the best of both worlds, but make for a temperamental fit because of the qualities of each fabric- especially at the seam lines where they meet up. It's not so easy to tell from the pictures online, which makes me tempted to order them, and try them in person.

I find...SOME of the funky patterns on women who "look" older, (but might not be older) it makes them look like they are trying too hard to look 18! kind of looks a little cougar-ish! (Just saying) Im in my mid 30s but look in my 20s, so I could probably get away with it, however, if you can't pull it off, you should stay away from trying to be so funky--it just looks silly!!

Bhahahha! down to the studio jacket in WMTM is FINALLY further reduced! LOL.... Was $199 and now it's $129. I wouldn't buy it for that tho....maybe $49? LOL Also the intuition sweater is further reduced...guess no one was biting!! Im wondering WHY it's taken them SO LONG to clue in, no one was going to pay those silly prices for those items!? Duuuuu!!!

Anonymous said...

Hmmmm.... I probably wouldn't have bought the crane crops if I had seen these photos first. But I guess we'll see what they're like... (I don't get my packages for at least 5 days).

Anonymous said...

some further reductions in wmtm....

The Hot Move shorts look cute, but they seem a little baggy in all the pics and like they'd give the person on the next mat a show if you actually wore them to hot yoga! I still might have to try them on though...wondering how they are compared to Shakti shorts which I haven't tried either.

Toasty Tech Pullover in Polar Cream is now on WMTM at $49.

Runder Under Pant also down to $59.

flip your dog bootie shorts are cute, I like the inkwell and burning ,as well as the white swiftly top. I am still trying to get used to the green color, I am not sure that it will work with my olive complexion. I think the speed shorts look great on the ladies in these pictures.

I can totally see an older lady getting away with the check pattern, just not in those shorts, but then again if you are not in shape weather young or old it just isn't going to work.

The light colored 105F tank in the polar cream is mine.

I'm 43 1/2 and I plan to buy the new speed shorts in the new gingham prints. I can pass for 20-something & I'm not trying to look like I'm 18. I'm just short and I find the that the speeds look better on my (short)legs than the longer shorts & I like the colors! And there is no cellulite on my legs either lol :-)

Anonymous said...

After seeing close up pics of the new gingham print, I don't really think it looks that young after all. I really think it looks like any other print that could be worn by anyone who likes it. I love gingham, so I hope they put out lots of it in small and large prints!

Anonymous said...

Any sizing/feedback on the hot move shorts? They look cute but not sure how flattering they will be on my muscular thighs/bigger butt. I am a TTS 8 on almost all bottoms but do a 10 in Speed Shorts.

I'm 45 with greying hair and a bangin' bod and I like the green check shorts quite a bit. I'll probably get a pair when they upload (if they ever upload in the US). I don't really care if you think they make me look silly or like I'm trying too hard or they aren't age appropriate. I think they look great and I look fantastic wearing them. One of the advantages of aging is that I really don't care what other people think about me as long as I am happy. So, judge away.

I pay attention to a few other retailers online and have noticed a huge observation! Lulu use to have an upload and stuff was SOLD OUT in every size in a mere 45 minutes to 2 hrs. Now....stuff uploaded, takes much longer to sell. People are either not buying from Lulu as quickly or have moved on to other brands! :) I often look online at Roots, in Canada....to see what they have to offer and have noticed in the last 2 weeks....new stuff uploaded and SOLD OUT in mere hours, in every size!! Hmmmm....interesting! Ive never seen stuff at Roots sell out so quickly, then what Ive seen in the last 2 weeks! It's crazy!! This speaks volumes to me! I think people are getting tired of Lulu BS and have finally decided its time to move on.... (Just my thoughts)

The pink and green combo reminds me of watermelon and summertime :)

Hoping we seen green before St. Patty's Day races!!

Could someone PLEASE tell us how the Post Restorative Sweatpants fit??? TTS? Size down? Thanks! :)

Anonimouse said...

Anon at 9.46 I'm with you there. (with the grey hairs too :)

I don't give a monkeys left testicle what other people think, I dress for myself and so be it if it's green gingham or sky blue pink. My high school days where I worried if I would fit in with what I wore have long since gone now.

OT-In the made too much section: the toasty tech pullover, how did it fit size wise?? I am a 2 in CRB's, 4 in a Define. What size in the toasty then?? Thx!!

CaribbeanCookingCulture said...

I got both toasty tech pullovers super early this morning in size 8 - super excited and makes me wonder if a company will mark up prices to $128 then mark down to $49.....were really, really overpaying. :(

Anonymous said...

I'm excited about the Frond gingham CRB! I hope they do the same print in some other colors too -- Frond looks great and will be perfect for spring, but I'm not sure if it'll look good with my skin tone.

Gingham reminds me of New England summers and doesn't seem juvenile to me. I think the print is too large on the speeds, so I won't be buying them myself; as long as your legs look good in them, age is no reason not to wear them :).

Anonymous said...

Right on @9:46 am. I am 33 but work out everyday super hard at 5am before my kids get up to look and feel good. If some hipster tween is going to judge me do you think I care anymore? Judging is for snooty little girls who sit inside all day on twitter and facebook and whose parents didn't raise them right anyway- so why would I care what they think? :)

Anonymous said...

those pastel gingham short shorts are just so cheesy and non-luxe on a non-teen. all these need is a pair of victoria's secret pink sweatpants pulled over them to complete the "look."

Anonymous said...

I love all the open minds on this blog but I have sadly witnessed many a LLL clad woman smirk at "older" woman in my studio! Looking down on their Victoria Secret or Old Navy gear! I am forty and I chose to wear classic colors and styles. I lived in Europe many years and believe it is a more common practice abroad. The less is more attitude with aging! And if you are 40+ and passing for 20? Please slow down on the filler, Botox, and implants!

Anonymous said...

I am positive that the ladies wearing LL and working out look great! But it is not possible for a 40 plus person to look twenty! Feel twenty and act twenty- Yes. But no one can escape aging! Do it with grace ladies!

Anonymous said...

random question any tips on how to wash the DHBH pull over so it stays comfy? I've read some horror stories and am scared to loose some of its softness to the washer!

Think I'd rather see a new plaid than gingham, anybody got intel?

LuluAddict said...

I haven't heard about any plaids but that would be really nice. I bet they have one for the Sea Wheeze store.

Anonymous said...

Anybody going to the warehouse sale in Long Island, NY? Trying to figure out if it will be worth a trip. Thoughts?

Anonymous said...

I totally agree and couldn't have said it better! I'm almost 43, and I work hard on my fitness. I'm way past caring what anyone thinks!

Anonymous said...

Forgive my weighting in...

This whole talk about people at 40 not being able to wear Gingham is hilarious. It's not the colour nor the pattern that makes something wearable - it's fit and style.

The outfit of the white swiftly LS and the gingham shorts is a great example. That woman isn't wearing either piece too tightly and that outfit could easily be worn by someone at 20, 30, 40 or 50.

Jenny said...

WOOHOO, Pink Shell Swiftly Tank!!!! I also LOVE the yellow plaid :) Better save my money, I think I'm going to like a lot of the spring product.

@ 3:24 PM, you would be completely wrong! I am 40 and I assure you that I am mistaken for a young, healthy, mid-20's all the time (people who do not know me and nothing to gain). That's right! I'm in fantastic shape (work hard: hardcore run, yoga, weights, healthy diet), and my skin is not wrinkled. And, with the state of MANY 20- or 30-somethings these days, I assure you THEY look much older than I do.

Agree with the ladies to tell those spouting ageism to run along. I myself keep my gear classic and don't care for any of the latest crazy LLL prints etc. If those designs or patterns appeal to you, and since we don't all like the same stuff, go for it.

Peace.

I was all set to buy the Burning Yellow CRB in store tonight, until I actually saw it in person. Ick - it's the colour of fake tan overtan! No thanks!

Guess I'll wait to see if "mellow yellow" will come in a solid CRB and actually be nice.

Geez Missy @January 23, 2013 at 4:28 AM! Until you are purchasing all our lulu outfits with your own money, stop with the "old people shouldn't wear this or that" bit. Let people wear what they want. Don't like it, look away!

Ok ladies, my husband is a plastic surgeon and I am a PA in his office. I am 43 years old and a mom to a toddler. I am lucky to have affordable access to Botox, fillers, lasers, Latisse, and the best skin care products. I also eat healthfully, exercise, meditate, do not smoke and rarely drink, yet I do not look twenty!! It is not possible! Looking good and feeling good is the key to life, not a number!

Dani said...

On the hot move shorts - they are baggy, but have a liner like the speeds. Also, to the other person who asked, having a bum is essential for these shorts - the back of them can fall a bit flat, so they look great if you give them some shape.

Anonymous said...

I have 2 of the old hot move shorts and they do have a liner and I run and do yoga in them, they are very comfy, I like the baggines for when I am feeling blah.

I agree with all the 40+ ladies on this blog who are healthy, fit, youthfull and know how to have fun.

FYI some people because of genetics look much younger than their years, If you feel comfortable at 40 wearing those shorts and you look slamming in them go for it.
I've seen plenty of out of shape or overweight young people wearing the wrong stuff.

Anonymous said...

They really do look like something a teenager would wear... They just look like pajama shorts to me.

Anonymous said...

@ 11:23, it IS possible. Get over it. YES some 40 something women look very youthful, with NO Botox, NO plastic surgery, NO fancy cosmetics or creams. It has nothing to do with even trying to stay looking young or "fighting" getting older, i.e. botox etc. I know for a fact, healthy lifestyle in many ways (all around good well being), healthy diet, extremely active, stay out of the sun and well, are genetically fortunate.

Anonymous said...

OK, can we get back to the product now? ;)
When do you think we can expect to see these items in the US? From your experience, how long does it take to show up online for us once it's available in Australia? Thanks!

LuluAddict said...

I'm thinking the new Frond, Bleached Coral, and Mellow Lemon will show up at the beginning of February.

Awesome! Thank you so much. Now I know, save my money cause some cute things are coming soon. :)
